On Chisme#24, Kim chats with Cinneah El-Amin and they talk travel during Covid times, paying debt and building wealth all the same time. Cinneah was able to pay over $23,000 in debt in 2020 all while living her dream of traveling around the world.
Why does this chisme matters?
Well, there is a misconception that in order for you to become debt free and build wealth you have to deprive yourself from the things you love. Yes, paying debt requires discipline but it doesn’t need to require depravation from happiness and living life. In orders words, you can have it all ;)
Cinneah is the founder of Flynanced, a travel and wealth blog in which she gives daily tips on how to travel and retire early at the same time.
She wants us to live our best lives, so she is showing us how to do so by providing an amazing course.

She is also hosting a Travel Hacking Workshop in Feb. 27th-28th, please see the link below to register.

On Chisme#23, Kim chats with Kim Guerra, Founder of Brown Badass Bonita- a brand and movement centered around inspiring and empowering Mujeres to give themselves wings through revolutionary self love.
This chismesito came just in time for Valentine's Day! We know that there might be a lot of people who feel "lonely" on this day so we wanted to give a little regalito and talk about the power that is within all of us when we learn how to genuinely love ourselves. Self-Love is a word that has become trendy and it is painted in a way that is not real. Yes, bubble baths are cute and a form of making yourself feel better but it is not what actually loving and accepting yourself mean. On this chat, we talked about our experiences and how it didn't always look pretty but it has been so worth it.
BBB products are meant to be worn and displayed as a statement and shield. I want people to feel like a walking and living revolution when they wear a Brown Badass Bonita tee. BBB was created to celebrate our culture and empower mujeres. Brown Badass Bonita includes revolutionary love letters, artwork, poems, and books that explore the complexities of being a Latinx, mujer, PoC, survivor, and guerrera. Brown Badass Bonita is dedicated to the community and badass mujeres.

On Chisme#22, I am sharing a little bit about my favorite practice- Manifestation! I started practicing (the right way) a couple a years ago and let me tell you, I have reached everything I intended. The term "manifesting" is trendy and tends to be thrown around a lot and sometimes it is not practiced the right away. Some of us have read the "Secret" and although this book is great, it paints a cute and misleading picture of what the laws of attraction and manifestation actually works. We can't just think, believe it and Puff! it will become a reality...it doesn't work that way. On this chisme, I shared how I manifested into 2020 and how almost everything I manifested became a reality despite the mess the world was in.

On the Bonus Chisme, Kim & Nadia from Self Love Astro share one of their most personal experiences of 2020- their Shadow Work Journey. Due to the already known events of 2020, our "regular" lifestyles changes and it forced us to stay in, stay still and hang out by ourselves in a sense.. this pushed us to face our demons/shadows and really get to know parts of ourselves we didn't really know existed. We wanted to dig deeper and found ourselves awakening parts of our psych we have either suppressed from our childhood or other traumatic stages of our lives. We discover the practice of Shadow Work and it has been life changing. Has it been easy? No! but it has helped us get to know a lot more and embrace side of us that we have been told are not good (shadow). This is helping us to be more authentic human beings and experience a little bit more of emotional freedom.
We are not therapists at all but we recommend this to anyone who is looking to live a more fulfilling and authentic life. We figured to release this episode just right before 2020 ends so we can share our experience and release what no longer serve us. We hope this episode inspire you. in some way <3
Thank you Nadia for sharing this chisme with me! And thank you of you Chismosos and Chismosas who have been listening so far. I appreciate you ALL. Have a blessed 2021!
On Chisme#20, Kim chats with Laura Pozo, co-founder of She Alpha Co. They talked about the advantages and struggles of being a first Gen Immigrant and how this experience has helped shaped their lives as Alpha Females. Today's society is slowly getting used to the idea of women being Alphas, however, there are some misconceptions or old narratives that portray Alpha Females as not only strong but emotionless. These are some of the narratives we would like to demolish by talking and acknowledging our emotions as part of our strength and journey.
She Alpha Co. mission is to empower and inspire women to obtain their goals and business vision by being a source of education and development. They are dedicated to providing the necessary pieces to help any woman with a vision to build and thrive in their business. Currently, She Alpha Co. is focused on building a community of strong leaders, educators, coaches, mentors, and educational resources for individuals looking to expand their business acumen.

They also touch on topics such as mental & emotional health conversations in a latinx household and how some of us grew up learning to hold our emotions, therefore developed emotions/conditions such as anxiety.

On Chisme#17, Kim chats with Disnalda and Mandy, and they discuss their journey as first time mothers. They open up about their experiences from pregnancy, giving birth and post partum journey and they talk about topics such as anxiety and depression. It is important to them to share this with others, specially women who are experiencing what they have experienced, because these are topics that people don't want to talk about. Yes, motherhood is a beautiful experience but at the same time it has a side that no one talks about and it needs light.
