Hola, Hello ya'll!
I had an amazing time being vulnerable and talking chisme with Eden & Jay, who are the beautiful souls and face of the page @edenxjay on instagram. They are both two beautiful women who are in love and whose sole purpose is to create a safe space where, not only queer latinos but anyone can feel represented.
We talked about how they met, their families judgement to their relationship and how they have both flourished individually and as a couple.
Eden and Jay, and are a queer couple who have decided to strike out on their own as social media influencers. They started thei page with only one goal in mind: to share our love and life with others and show that happy and healthy same-sex Latinx relationships do exist and are possible to have.
In a time when representation is at its most important, they build a dedicated audience that's feels inspired by their authenticity and relatability as businesswomen, a powerhouse couple, and a lifestyle brand. They strive to be the representation we all want to see in the world.

Hola, Hello ya'll!
We had an awesome chismesito with Dra. Nicole Cabrera Salazar, CEO & Founder of Movement Consulting. We talked about her experience/trauma in academia & workforce as a woman in Science. She shares how she went from loving her career to despise it due to the systemic gender/racism still existing in academia and the work place. She had to make a painful decision to withdraw herself from this environment, in which she was becoming a person she couldn't even recognize, and reinvent herself and live in her truth.
Why does this chisme matter?
Well, a lot of us have and are there. We are killing ourselves in college and in a workplace that feels excruciating instead of fulfilling. We are developing physical and mental conditions in return of humiliation and non appreciation. Some of us have to constantly fight to get a "sit on the table" with people that don't look like us and don't understand us.
Dra. Nicole Cabrera Salazar is a Latina astronomer who is passionate about social justice in science and technology. After creating multiple initiatives in graduate school for marginalized students, she decided to shift her career away from research to focus on changing the culture of STEM through her company Movement Consulting.
Like many marginalized scientists, Dra. Nicole left her field due to a toxic work environment. Determined to make sure others never had to follow in her footsteps, she started Movement Consulting to improve scientific workspaces for people from minoritized groups. We believe the world of science can be better - not in six months or ten years, but now. A world where marginalized people can thrive. A world that values scientists as whole human beings. A world where many worlds fit.

Hola, Hello ya''ll!
I had the awesome opportunity to have some chismesito with Clare Guarin, founder of Beauty Traducida, and we talked all things skin and the journey of learning how to embrace it in all its seasons.
Our skin, specially the one on our face is one of the first things people see when they meet us, this is one of the reasons we tend to feel subconscious whenever our skin breaks out or doesn't feel smooth enough. We spend a lot of shmoney trying to fix it and start using products we see on social media in hopes it will give us the same skin those influencers have. sometimes these don't work and it doesn't mean that something is wrong with us but that our skin needs and deserves a different type of product. This applies specially for us Latinas and other WOC, our skin/texture is different and needs different products/ingredients.
Clare is an esthetician whose goal is to help POC with their Self SKin Love journey at an affordable price.

On Chisme#30, I had the amazing opportunity to chat with Joanna Muñoz and we talked about how she was able to pay off 100K in debt and at the same time build her side hustle- Painting by the Penny, in which she does Interior Design, DIY and Refurnished Furniture.
Although Joanna and her life partner did have two good paying jobs, they did not realize how much in debt they were until they decided to sit down and create a budget and aggressively start paying off their debt.
Like many of us, Joanna and her partner, were avoiding to see how much they were in debt and their decision to be honest and disciplined with their finances helped them to become debt free in 19 months and start building generational wealth.
This chisme serves as inspiration and motivation for all of us who are in the journey of becoming debt free and build generational wealth.

On Chisme#29, I had the amazing opportunity to chat with Karina F. Daves, a mama, entrepreneur, wife, Life Coach and so many other great things.
We talked about one of the easiest things to tell people to do but it is hard to apply it- Boundaries. How many of us have done things without really wanting to but because we think we have to fulfill someone else's expectations we do them. How many of us don't really understand our true worth or gifts, therefore, we settle for a mediocre life because that is what society expects to do?
Karina, dropped so amazing gems by sharing her experiences and how these led her to her true calling, which is helping other women find themselves and their true passions, as a life coach. She experienced some dark moments but thanks to God and her learning to set boundaries, helped to redefine herself and start doing the things she loves.
Karina is a Life coach, she helps women to develop practices and skills in achieving their GOALS in a bite-sized manner. She helps you dive deep into the things that are blocking you from you just killing it!
Her passion is to be there for women, specifically moms, that need tools and confidence to keep going, no matter where they are in life.

Hola Hello Everyone!
On Chisme #28, I had the pleasure to have some chisme with Yvette Montoya aka The Bratty Brujita and we talked about brujeria, limpias, spiritual hygiene and the connection with our ancestors.
Did you grow up thinking that brujeria was something del "diablo" and that was something taboo? Well, I sure did. Just a few years ago, I started to educate myself more about it and learned that these were our ancestors spiritual practices and that somehow my family also believed in it since we used to get limpias all the time.
Yvette shares her upbringing and how her inner bruja guided her to break free from toxic environments, heal from generational traumas and tap into her true calling. We also talked about the importance and power of spiritual hygiene in order to live a more authentic life.
Yvette is an intuitive medium, a Palera, and a green witch focusing on spiritual sexual wellness and hygiene. I’m a first generation LA native of Mexican and Chilean descent. On Chisme 25, I chat with Evie Prete, founder and mastermind of La Mala Mujer, a platform for mental health, personal finance and career resources, and we talk toxic relationships, PTSD and how to heal from trauma.
Why does this Chisme Matter?
Many people have heard of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) And it is often connected with the veterans military but they are not the only group that can experience it. Anyone who has been through any traumatic experience can develop it. Some of us have experienced toxic relationships and we don't even know that we might be showing signs that we are suffering from PTSD. It is completely normal and there are signs that will help us understand this a little better and how to overcome it and thrive after it.
Evie is a first-generation college graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Her mother immigrated from Mexico and started a family in San Diego, CA where Evie was born. 29 years after her mother immigrated to this country, Evie is a successful engineer working in the commercial space exploration industry.
Her story is one of constant struggle and overcoming adversity in both her career and personal life. Her goal is to help develop and advocate for other individuals who are also “first in their families” to navigate areas like, college, career development, creating generational wealth, starting a white collar job and prioritizing mental health. She is one Mala Mujer. Evie is also a dedicated athlete training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and is excited to keep competing in tournaments.
