Chord Progression Podcast: The Gateway to New Rock and Metal Music

When the metal scene lost a well respected member in Wayne Swinny, we all mourned the loss of someone special.

But what happened to his band following his unfortunate loss? Apparently a lot that Wayne would have been insanely proud of.

Bobby Amaru from Saliva returns to the Chord Progression Podcast once again as Saliva prepares to release their new record Revelation on September 8th. This episode will show you

• How Saliva picked themselves up after the loss of Wayne, and how the band is making sure they honor his legacy from here on out.
• The incredible story of Bobby helping foster his daughter's singing ability with their duets on Tik Tok, and how Bobby is embodying Wayne's spirit in all of this.
• Reactions Bobby, his daughter, and other members of the music community have had to their duets including Jared Leto, Skillet, & Mike Shinoda.

So much to talk about, so little time. We always get it all in. Hit the subscribe button to not miss out on any further episodes.

Have you ever wondered how a band reacts when they begin to see rapid growth and continued success over a long period of time?

For the bands that have succeeded long term, they react to success with reflection on where they have come from, energy to keep growing, and to show appreciation for everyone helping make their dreams into reality.

It is our honor to have Maty Madiro of From Ashes To New on the Chord Progression Podcast for a conversation that gives you a greater appreciation for the band, and to be ready for the release of their new album Blackout on July 28th. In this episode, we talk with Maty about:

• Reflecting on the growth of From Ashes to New since the pandemic, and how the band continues to show their fans, other bands, and all crew members their appreciation for the support given.
• How the band stays motivated when things get tough both at home and on the road, & how reflection and being real is at the core of that.
• Maty's journey as a drummer joining From Ashes to New after being in Trivium, and how he sees this as the perfect place for him to be.

We are still blown away for the chance to interview one of our favorite bands today, and we will keep this rolling. Don't want to miss out on any future interviews? Hit that subscribe button now and become part of our community.

In the world today, have you ever felt hopeless? As if the negativity in life would never go away, and that you would live in the negative forever?

Many of us have felt the same, and are feeling the same way currently. So one band set out to show both sides of negativity. The side of no hope, and the side of positivity and hope that things can get better.

Mark from the band To Kill Achilles is our guest on the podcast today to dive deep into the concept of hope on the band's new album Recovery. On this episode, you will come to understand.

• The difference in wallowing in the negative from their first record Something To Remember Me By, to the hope found in the second record Recovery.
• Why Mark writes more direct & less metaphorical than others in music today.
• The shift happening in metal music to more music having a hopeful and positive outlook to it, and the reason behind it.
• Finding the positivity in life between beauty and trauma.

This is an episode that will connect you to so many positive aspects in life from the negative. So hit that subscribe button to never miss a band that will make you feel like this.

When you put your full emotional weight behind your vocals as a singer, with a band that amplifies that every step of the way, greatness ensues.

From a band that has grown from 200K Spotify monthly listeners to 1.5 Million in just over 2 years, it stands to reason this. This is a band you need to get behind.

We are honored to have Matt from the band Caskets return to the Chord Progression Podcast once again. As the band prepares to release their new album Reflections on August 11th, Matt reflects on

• What it means to directly support blessthefall on their US tour, and how touring with bands like We Came As Romans have solidified Caskets as one of the best bands in rock and metal that you need to check out.
• The making of the new album Reflections, and working with Telle Smith of The Word Alive to create the track More Than Misery.
• Why the band plays a heavier style live, creating a unique experience for fans that come check out the band live.
• Questions fans ask him about the most rewarding part of touring, his inspiration to sing, and his top artist to collaborate with.

How do you become revered as one of the best and most respected metal bands of all time?

You do it by making music that is the medicine to make people feel positive about their life experience, and embody that mindset in everything you do.

It is our pleasure to have Mr. Lajon Witherspoon from Sevendust on the Chord Progression Podcast as the band prepares to release their brand new album Truth Killer. On this episode, you will discover:

• The positive connection that LJ and Sevendust have made on metal fans, other rock and metal bands like Alter Bridge and Mammoth WVH, and venues like The Rave over the course of 30 years.
• How the band created Truth Killer on a farm in Kansas, and how spending time as family men and fathers during the pandemic helped them write it.
• That all the stories you've heard about Sevendust being the most respected bands in music are true, and how new stories from LJ confirm that further.

Raise your hand if you have ever dealt with the repercussions of being in and around a toxic relationship.

We assume many of you just raised your hand. And we also assume many of you work through those emotions and those traumas with the help of music.

Our friends in the Pennsylvania metalcore band If Not For Me are back on the Chord Progression Podcast once again with a brand new song coming out on July 21st. In this episode, we dive into:

• If Not For Me signing with InVogue Records, and how their consistent commitment to quality music and live shows has the label fully investing in them.
• The brand new song Feel Me Now and how it explores emerging from the ashes like a phoenix when you remove yourself from a toxic relationship.
• Using Tik Tok marketing to help push a song with deep meaning to success similar to Dial Tone by Catch Your Breath & Just Pretend by Bad Omens.

Another great band to get into, amongst the many on the Chord Progression Podcast. Do not miss out on any future episodes by subscribing to the podcast NOW!

Second chances in life do not come around often.

When we get second chances, we find an appreciation for the good times we had, and the good times we are able to have right now.

That is what we talk about with Arturo from Audio Karate on today's Chord Progression Podcast. On this episode we dive deep into:

• Audio Karate returning to venues they haven't played in 20 years and what it means to the band.
• The mindset needed to play a show with a crowd full of younger fans, and fans that are older and may not want to see all the craziness a concert can have.
• Using veteran experience to make sure the concert is the best for the fans, the band, and for yourself as well.

A great conversation from a band that enjoys going out on the road after a 12 year hiatus and a pandemic. Want to know more? Hit the subscribe button and become part of our community.

Would you love a band that has the flow of Tech N9ne, the fun of Limp Bizkit, the modernization of From Ashes to New, and the quality of Linkin Park?

Sounds like it doesn't exist in a band right? Well it does exist!

• Why the new EP, Product of Hate, has no singular favorite song from fans and Kevin's theory to why that is.
• How the band's positive energy is causing the band to be requested to stay on tours where they only are featured on selected dates.
• The plot to make the band laugh on stage and make their live shows a must-see event.
