Chord Progression Podcast: The Gateway to New Rock and Metal Music

Ascending From Ashes, a rock/metal quartet out of New Jersey, stops by to talk about their music journey from their concept album Glory (out now), their influences from bands like Breaking Benjamin, and their philosophies about the music industry as it stands right now. The guys also get into a conversation about growing the band's presence on social media and tell him some fun stories about working with John Moyer of Disturbed, and how he always seems to have trouble with his coffee.

You can catch these guys out in New Jersey playing their music, and will hopefully make it out to the rest of the country soon (and have to take Kevin up on his offer of crashing at his small apartment).

It is an episode you won't want to miss.

On this firestorm of an episode, Kevin calls back in Anthony as they both do a comprehensive deep dive review of the new Fleshgod Apocalypse album Veleno. Here is a hint, Anthony loves it, and Kevin... well you gotta listen to find out.

Afterwords, they continue their conversation about many different topics, and per usual, Anthony ends up calling Kevin out on something stupid that he said on the podcast.

It is a barnburner of an episode that you will not want to miss out on.

In this episode, Kevin has a conversation with Cadence, a huge Motionless In White fan from Arkansas. They talk about their shared concert experiences seeing the band, and that all evolves into a conversation about how music that goes against pop culture can cause some grief from people at school or at work, but how being true to yourself and having confidence in who you are as a person can take you far in life. Trust us when we say watch out for this girl, she has the confidence to go places.
