Jude’s warnings lead to practical instructions for prayer, perseverance, and mercy. Discover how to resist spiritual drift while helping people who are struggling with doubt or moving toward harmful choices.
IN THIS MESSAGE
1. REMEMBER THAT GOD WILL BRING JUDGMENT
Jude uses vivid pictures to expose teachers whose influence endangers the church. He warns against ungodliness, grumbling, fault-finding, boastfulness, and flattery used for personal advantage. Take these warnings seriously, examine your own attitudes, and trust God to judge evil with justice. (Jude 12–16; 2 Peter 2:1; 2 Timothy 4:3)
2. STAY ALERT AND STAND FIRM IN THE TRUTH
Jude reminds believers that the apostles warned about scoffers who follow ungodly desires and create division. Remembering these warnings helps us recognize spiritual danger without losing confidence in Christ. Remain grounded in Scripture, evaluate what you hear, and depend on the Holy Spirit as you pursue truth and faithful fellowship. (Jude 17–19; Acts 20:29; 2 Peter 3:2)
3. TAKE ACTION TO STRENGTHEN YOUR FAITH AND HELP OTHERS
Jude calls believers to build themselves up in the faith, pray in the Holy Spirit, remain in God’s love, and await Christ’s mercy. Spiritual growth also equips us to care for others. Show patience toward those who doubt, share the gospel with people in danger, and offer help while guarding your own conduct. (Jude 20–23)
BE ENCOURAGED
You can take a steady step of faith even when the world feels unsettled. Read Jude 20–23, make time for prayer, and examine one influence against the truth of Scripture. Is stress affecting your attitude, relationships, or ability to keep going? Pastor Chris Teien explores biblical wisdom for handling pressure, caring for relationships, managing resources, and making room for rest.
Drawing from Jesus’ invitation in Matthew 11:28–30 and other Scriptures, this message encourages you to acknowledge your limits and seek God’s help. Discover practical ways to review your commitments, ask for support, and approach daily responsibilities with greater wisdom and trust.
IN THIS MESSAGE
1. RECOGNIZE THE SIGNS OF STRESS AND BURNOUT
Ongoing pressure can leave you weary and affect how you respond to people and responsibilities. Pay attention to your limits, consider where commitments need to change, and make room for rest and supportive relationships. Keep your attention on Jesus as you examine what is weighing you down. (Psalm 37:7–8; Proverbs 17:22; Ecclesiastes 4:9; Hebrews 12:1–2)
2. HANDLE PEOPLE IN A WAY THAT HONORS GOD
Relationships can become strained when pressure rises. Biblical love calls for patience and kindness, while working for the Lord gives purpose to ordinary responsibilities. Listen carefully, respond thoughtfully, and let pleasing God guide how you treat others. (1 Corinthians 13:4–5; Colossians 3:22–24)
3. TRUST GOD WITH PAY AND POSSESSIONS
Financial pressures invite us to examine spending, debt, contentment, and stewardship. Bring your needs to God, seek wise guidance, and use what He has entrusted to you responsibly. Practice generosity as you are able and trust His care while taking practical steps to address your circumstances. (1 Timothy 6:17–19; Proverbs 22:7; James 4:2; Proverbs 3:9–10; 2 Corinthians 9:6–8; Matthew 6:33–34)
4. SET PRIORITIES THAT REDUCE STRESS AND STRENGTHEN FAITH
God invites the weary to seek His strength and bring their concerns to Him. Review your schedule, ask for wisdom, and establish reasonable boundaries around your responsibilities. Make room for prayer, rest, and the support you need as you continue following Christ. (Isaiah 40:28–31; Ephesians 5:16; James 1:5; 1 Peter 5:6–8; Matthew 11:28–30)
BE ENCOURAGED
You can acknowledge your weariness and take a helpful step today. Bring one burden to Jesus, tell a trusted person where you need support, and identify a commitment or habit that needs attention. Make time for rest and ask God for wisdom about what comes next. You do not have to carry every responsibility alone.

How do you recognize spiritual teaching that sounds convincing but leads people away from Christ? Teaching from Jude 5–16, Pastor Chris Teien explores how God’s past judgments warn us against unbelief, pride, greed, rebellion, and deception.
Jude’s vivid descriptions challenge believers to examine both the teaching they receive and the attitudes they cultivate. Discover how to evaluate spiritual claims through Scripture, recognize harmful influences, and keep your faith anchored in Christ.
IN THIS MESSAGE
1. LEARN FROM GOD’S WARNINGS IN THE PAST
Jude recalls Israel’s unbelief, the rebellion of angels, and the judgment of Sodom and Gomorrah. These examples remind us that God takes sin seriously and that spiritual privilege does not excuse disobedience. Receive His warnings with humility, trust His Word, and turn from patterns of rebellion. (Jude 5–7; Numbers 14; Genesis 19; 2 Peter 2:4)
2. RECOGNIZE THE CHARACTERISTICS OF FALSE TEACHERS
Jude exposes people who reject authority and speak confidently about things they do not understand. Confidence and popularity do not establish that a teaching is trustworthy. Examine spiritual claims against Scripture and consider whether they encourage submission to Christ and faithful obedience. (Jude 8–10; 2 Peter 2:10)
3. REJECT PRIDE, GREED, AND REBELLION
Cain, Balaam, and Korah illustrate the destructive consequences of sinful motives and resistance to God. Their examples invite us to examine jealousy, greed, ambition, and pride in our own hearts. Pursue humility and integrity, and refuse influences that encourage you to compromise biblical truth. (Jude 11; Genesis 4; Numbers 22–25; Numbers 16)
4. BEWARE OF DECEPTION THAT LOOKS ATTRACTIVE BUT LEADS TO DESTRUCTION
Jude describes dangerous influences through pictures of hidden reefs, waterless clouds, fruitless trees, wild waves, and wandering stars. These images expose the gap between impressive appearances and genuine spiritual fruit. Stay grounded in God’s Word and pay attention to the character and conduct a teaching produces. (Jude 12–16; 1 Timothy 1:18–19)
BE ENCOURAGED
You can grow in discernment with a teachable heart and steady attention to Scripture. Read Jude 5–16 and examine one teaching or influence that has been shaping your faith. Seek help from a trusted, biblically grounded believer where questions remain. Ask God to expose pride or compromise in your own life, and take one faithful step in response to His truth.

Do your problems leave you wondering why God allows hardship or whether He still cares? Pastor Chris Teien explores how God can use struggles to deepen your faith, redirect your choices, and prepare you to help others.
Drawing from James 1:2–4, Romans 8, and other Scriptures, this message examines five ways problems can contribute to spiritual growth. Discover how to take responsibility for your choices, receive God’s correction, and depend on His sufficient grace when difficulties remain.
IN THIS MESSAGE
1. GOD ALLOWS PROBLEMS THAT RESULT FROM OUR SELECTIONS
Our choices affect our lives, and Scripture reminds us that we reap what we sow. Pay attention to your conduct, use your opportunities responsibly, and keep doing good when results take time. Where poor decisions have brought consequences, acknowledge them and begin making wiser choices. (Galatians 6:3–10)
2. GOD USES PROBLEMS TO GIVE US DIRECTION
Difficulties can reveal our need for God and prompt us to reconsider our priorities. Paul’s thorn in the flesh taught him to depend on God’s sufficient grace. Seek the Lord’s guidance through your struggles, trusting that His strength can work through your weakness. (Psalm 119:67; 2 Corinthians 12:7–9)
3. GOD ALLOWS PROBLEMS FOR INSPECTION
Pressure can reveal the condition of our faith, attitudes, and character. Peter compares tested faith to gold refined by fire, showing its lasting value. Ask God to search your heart, compare your responses with Scripture, and confess what needs to change. (1 Peter 1:6–7; Jeremiah 17:9; Psalm 139:23–24)
4. GOD USES PROBLEMS FOR CORRECTION
Jonah’s attempt to run from God brought consequences that called him back toward obedience. Hebrews describes God’s discipline as loving training intended for our good. Receive His correction with humility and take practical steps to follow His Word, remembering that not every hardship results from a specific sin. (Jonah 1:2–5; Hebrews 12:10–13)
5. GOD USES PROBLEMS TO LEAD US TO PERFECTION
James explains that tested faith develops endurance, leading toward maturity and completeness. God can use difficult experiences to strengthen your character and prepare you for faithful service. As you receive His help and encouragement from others, you also gain opportunities to support people facing similar struggles. (James 1:2–4; Romans 8:28, 35–37)
BE ENCOURAGED
Your struggles do not mean Christ has stopped loving you. Bring one difficulty honestly to God and ask Him to help you respond faithfully. Make a needed change, seek support, or keep doing good while you wait. Consider how an experience He has brought you through could help you encourage someone else. His grace gives you strength for the next step.

How do you stand for biblical truth when cultural pressure and conflicting spiritual messages challenge what you believe? Teaching from Jude 3–4, Pastor Chris Teien explores the call to defend the faith, recognize false teaching, and remain grounded in God’s Word.
Discover why God’s grace never gives permission to disregard sin or reject Christ’s authority. This message encourages conviction joined with humility and love as you examine what you hear and help others follow Jesus faithfully.
IN THIS MESSAGE
1. DEFEND THE FAITH WITH CONVICTION
Jude urges believers to contend for the faith entrusted once for all to God’s people. Learn what Scripture teaches, deepen your understanding of the gospel, and remain faithful when biblical truth is challenged. Give careful attention to both your beliefs and the way you live them out. (Jude 3; 1 Timothy 6:12; 1 Timothy 4:16)
2. DISCERN FALSE TEACHING
Jude warns about people who turn God’s grace into permission for immorality and deny Jesus Christ as Sovereign and Lord. Examine teaching against Scripture and consider whether it faithfully presents the gospel and encourages obedience to Christ. Receive God’s Word with a willingness to let it correct your assumptions. (Jude 4; Philippians 1:27–28; 2 Timothy 3:16–17)
3. DEMONSTRATE LOVE WHILE STANDING FIRM
Love rejoices with the truth, and faithful conviction should shape how we treat people. Speak with humility, listen carefully, and explain your beliefs with courage and compassion. Examine your own conduct as you encourage others to understand and follow God’s Word. (1 Corinthians 13:6; 1 Timothy 4:16)
BE ENCOURAGED

Discover how belonging to Christ gives your life purpose and your future lasting hope. Jude’s opening words remind us that God’s mercy, peace, and love sustain His people through struggles, questions, and changing circumstances.
IN THIS MESSAGE
1. GOD HAS CALLED YOU, YOUR LIFE HAS A PURPOSE
Jude addresses believers as people called by God. Belonging to Christ gives meaning to everyday responsibilities and opportunities to serve. Let His calling shape your priorities as you pursue holiness, care for others, and trust His purposes through difficult circumstances. (Jude 1; 1 Peter 1:15; Romans 8:28)
2. GOD LOVES YOU DEEPLY, HIS LOVE IS YOUR CONFIDENCE
Jude reminds believers that they are loved by God the Father. His love provides assurance when discouragement or uncertainty makes you question your standing. Remember that nothing in all creation can separate those who belong to Christ from God’s love in Him. (Jude 1; Romans 8:38–39; Ephesians 1:4)
3. GOD WILL KEEP YOU SAFE, YOUR FUTURE IS SECURE
Being kept for Jesus Christ gives believers confidence in His saving power and faithfulness. This security does not remove every hardship, but it assures you that your eternal future rests in His care. Depend on the Savior who holds His people and receive the mercy, peace, and love Jude celebrates. (Jude 1–2; John 10:27–28; 2 Timothy 1:12)

How do you move forward when failure leaves you discouraged or afraid to try again? Pastor Chris Teien explores how God can use setbacks to teach humility, correct your direction, and help you grow in faith.
Drawing from Proverbs 24:16 and other Scriptures, this message encourages you to acknowledge mistakes, resist comparison, and remember God’s love. Discover how receiving Christ’s forgiveness and taking responsibility can help you pursue renewed faithfulness and purpose.
IN THIS MESSAGE
1. EVERYBODY FAILS IN MANY WAYS
Scripture acknowledges that everyone stumbles and falls short. Respond honestly to failure by confessing sin, accepting responsibility, and learning from what happened. God’s mercy gives you reason to seek help and take another faithful step. (James 3:2; Proverbs 28:13; Ecclesiastes 7:20)
2. FAILURE CAN BECOME THE PATH TO SUCCESS
Proverbs describes the righteous falling and rising again. Setbacks can become opportunities to receive correction, develop perseverance, and make wiser choices. Remain teachable and keep doing good, trusting God with the results of your faithful effort. (Proverbs 24:16; Galatians 6:9; Hebrews 12:11)
3. GOD CAN USE FAILURE FOR GOOD
God promises to work for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. This does not make every mistake good or remove its consequences. It gives believers hope that even painful lessons can become part of His work to shape their character and equip them to help others. (Romans 8:28)
4. REFUSE TO COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS
Comparison can feed pride or deepen discouragement. Examine your own conduct and give attention to the responsibilities God has entrusted to you. Use your abilities faithfully and learn from others without making their accomplishments the measure of your worth. (Galatians 6:4; 2 Corinthians 10:12)
5. REDEFINE THE MEANING OF FAILURE
Missing a goal does not mean your effort was worthless. Consider whether fear is keeping you from trusting God or using what He has entrusted to you. Faithfulness includes a willingness to act, learn, and depend on Him when success is uncertain. (Hebrews 11:6)
6. REFOCUS ON GOD’S LOVE
God’s compassion and forgiveness give believers a foundation for moving forward. Those who belong to Christ are no longer under condemnation. Bring your failures honestly to Him and let His love strengthen you to pursue obedience with renewed confidence. (1 John 4:18; Psalm 103:4–12; Romans 8:1)
BE ENCOURAGED
Your failure does not have to determine your next choice. Acknowledge what went wrong, make amends where you can, and ask God for wisdom to respond differently. Seek encouragement from a trusted believer and take one practical step toward a responsibility or opportunity you have been avoiding. Keep moving forward with confidence in Christ’s grace.

Drawing from Deuteronomy 6:4–9 and other Scriptures, discover practical ways to help the next generation understand God’s truth and follow Christ. Your faithful influence matters as you invest in their lives while trusting God with their response.
IN THIS MESSAGE
1. SHARE YOUR FAITH STORY
The psalmist expresses a desire to tell the next generation about God’s power and faithfulness. Share how you came to trust Jesus, what He has taught you, and how He has helped you through difficult seasons. Ordinary conversations can give younger people meaningful reasons to consider His promises. (Psalm 71:17–18)
2. LOVE GOD FIRST
Spiritual influence begins with your own devotion to God. Let younger people see you seeking Him, responding to His Word, and depending on His grace. A visible love for Christ gives substance to the faith you teach. (Deuteronomy 6:4–7; Psalm 71:17–18)
3. TEACH GOD’S WORD DAILY
Deuteronomy calls God’s people to keep His commands in their hearts and discuss them throughout daily life. Read Scripture together, encourage questions, and connect biblical truth with ordinary decisions. Help children understand what God says and how to put it into practice. (Deuteronomy 6:4–9; Romans 10:17)
4. ENCOURAGE THEIR UNIQUE DESIGN
God’s creative care gives every child dignity and value. Help young people recognize their abilities and find opportunities to use them faithfully. Explain how belonging to Christ gives them an identity and purpose deeper than appearance, popularity, or achievement. (Psalm 139:13–14; Ephesians 2:10; Colossians 3:23)
5. GUIDE THEM WITH WISDOM AND DISCIPLINE
Children need patient instruction, clear expectations, and loving correction. Help them develop judgment and learn from mistakes while welcoming honest questions. Proverbs offers wisdom for faithful guidance, without guaranteeing that parents can control every choice their children make. (Proverbs 22:6)
6. PRAY OVER THEIR LIVES
Paul’s prayer provides a pattern for asking God to grow love, knowledge, discernment, and righteousness in others. Pray specifically for young people’s faith, relationships, and decisions. Depend on God to work in their hearts as you continue offering instruction and care. (Philippians 1:9–11)

8. EXEMPLIFY CHRISTIAN LIVING
Integrity and sound speech give others an example they can trust. Model generosity, patience, and perseverance, and acknowledge your failures honestly. Your everyday conduct can encourage younger people to see what following Jesus looks like in practice. (Titus 2:7–8)
