This week Angie is sick and Stevens finishes 1 Peter chapter 2. Submitting to authority is important because authority was given to governments by God. This however, is no excuse to become or remain a doormat. The point is to glorify God in everything we do. As an ambassador of Christ, we remain in His word, surrendering everything to Him, standing up for what is right and against what is wrong according to God’s standard.

In this weeks episode, as the podcast transitions from Spotify to Subsplash, Angie and Stevens continue with 1 Peter chapter 2. Chapter 2 of 1 Peter calls us to put our old self to death. In other words, not to go back to the life we had before Christ. If Christ is truly in us and we are in Him, then we should no longer take part in the person that died with Christ on the cross when we surrendered to Him.
