Isaiah 61 describes the garments of salvation that Christ clothes us in. This prophetic description takes the poor slave into the place of royal priesthood. With that standing the believer can now restore what has been wasted and destroyed and be the great tree of righteousness the Lord has called them to be.

We are clothed in Christ in our identity so that we walk in His righteousness and purity all sin, shame and guilt is covered by His priestly vestments that Jesus has places on us. We need to walk in the identity Christ has given us and make Him attractive to others

1.It is essential that we identify ourselves as Christ identifies us. Too often Christians do not live unto their identity in Christ. This is often because of having our blood bought identity stolen by the enemy’s lies. We must see ourselves as Christ has called us into being. Paul prays for the Ephesian church - to know the hope of their calling, the inheritance Christ has through us and the power God gives on our behalf. The church must walk in this hour under its proper identity in Christ in order to win the lost and build the Kingdom of God.

Dwelling together in the presence of God is the idea of dwelling together I unity. It is explained best through Psalm 133. This psalm describes the unity that comes from the blessing of the Lord that reaches into our lives and unto others. Breakthrough in neuroscience has shown that prayer and worship create an atmosphere of corporate wellbeing. This ancient truth is described through three illustrations of blessing in life. It is found in the presence of God and is necessary for any church to function as Christ intended.

The mystery that God held throughout the ages is that the Messiah would take up His residence in us in order for us to become like Him. We were predestined to be conformed to His image. (Rom.8:29) Paul calls this the hope of glory. This confident expectation is that we will represent His person and glory on earth. His glory or character is being shaped in us.This is an ever increasing activity that is happening in every believer. This is what defeats sin and the devil in our life, the ever active hope and growth in His glory.

The resurrection has brought a new reality to mankind. We were once living in the shadows of true life and now have found reality in Christ. The Old Testament was only a shadow of Christ and now He is the substance that is eternal reality. With the resurrection comes new life and new identity to really come alive and live in its power.
