“Because you have so little faith,” He answered. “For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” — Matthew 17:20

Jesus said if you have faith like a mustard seed, nothing will be impossible. It's not the size of your faith that matters, but the object. A tiny faith in a great God can move mountains. Gideon and Barak did impossible things with small faith and a big God. The apostles cried, "Increase our faith!" (Luke 17:5).

Set the mercy seat atop the ark, and put the Testimony that I will give you into the ark. And I will meet with you there above the mercy seat, between the two cherubim that are over the ark of the Testimony; I will speak with you about all that I command you regarding the Israelites. — Exodus 25:21,22

God told Moses to place the mercy seat on the ark, and there He would meet with His people. But access was limited — only the high priest, once a year, with blood. When Christ died, the veil was torn, and the way into the Holy of Holies was opened. The mercy seat where blood was sprinkled is now accessible to you. Come boldly to the throne of grace.

All You have made will give You thanks, O LORD, and Your saints will bless You. — Psalm 145:10

Everything God has made declares His glory, but His redeemed people have a special calling — to bless Him with their lips and their lives. Bless the Lord, O my soul. Mary sang, "My soul magnifies the Lord" (Luke 1:46-47). You were created for worship. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. — Philippians 4:6

Not in some things, not in big things — everything. The Spirit helps us in our weakness. You don't need eloquent prayers; God hears the cry of His children. Take your anxieties to Him, and the peace that surpasses understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

I am coming soon. Hold fast to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. — Revelation 3:11

This isn't salvation by works — it's a warning to persevere. The crown is a gift, but it's given to those who endure. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it's God who works in you. The one who endures to the end will be saved. Hold fast because He's holding you.

Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. — Ephesians 5:15,16

Paul tells us to walk carefully, making the most of every opportunity because the days are evil. That doesn't mean frantic busyness. It means intentionality — knowing that time is a gift and that each day brings you closer to Christ's return. Don't drift. Watch and be ready.

And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. — Romans 8:27

When you don't know how to pray, the Spirit intercedes for you according to God's will. That's a comfort you can't exhaust. You don't need to find the perfect words; the Spirit translates your groans into petitions that the Father always hears. This is why we're told to pray without ceasing — not because you'll get it right, but because the Spirit prays through you.

The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, so that we may follow all the words of this law. — Deuteronomy 29:29

There's so much we don't know — the timing of Christ's return, the details of providence, the mysteries of election. But what God has revealed in His Word is enough. We don't need to pry into secrets He's kept. We need to obey what He's shown us. The secret things are His; the revealed things are ours.

“Martha, Martha,” the Lord replied, “you are worried and upset about many things. — Luke 10:41

She was serving, which is good, but her anxiety exposed a heart that had forgotten the one thing necessary. Don’t let the worries of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word. The same Jesus who told Martha to slow down tells you: only one thing is needed. Sit at His feet.

For just as the sufferings of Christ overflow to us, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. — 2 Corinthians 1:5

Paul says that as the sufferings of Christ overflow into our lives, so also does consolation through Christ. Suffering and comfort come from the same source. You don't get one without the other. If you share in His sufferings, you'll also share in His glory. The God of all comfort doesn't waste your pain.
