Hinamon ni Hesus ang paniniwala ng isang lalaki na makakamit ang kaligtasan sa pamamagitan ng mabubuting gawa. Ipinakita nito na hindi natin kayang makamit ang buhay na walang hanggan sa sariling pagsisikap. Ngayong Linggo, ipinaalala sa atin ni Rev. Mike Cariño na ang katiyakan ng kaligtasan ay hindi nakabatay sa gawa, kundi sa dalisay na pananampalataya — tulad ng sa isang bata — sa katauhan, pangako, at probisyon ni Kristo.

Jesus challenged a young man's belief that he could earn salvation through good works, showing that we cannot achieve eternal life through our own efforts. This Sunday, Rev. Mike Cariño reminds us that we are assured of salvation not through works, but rather by pure, childlike faith in the person, promises, and provision of Christ.
