REVIEW ON I-TUNES
Sexuality is one of the explosive issues every person has to deal with, and the way God has wired men seems to make them even more prone to the allure of sexual temptation. It's an issue that's been neglected in the church far too often, but one I wanted to deal with head on. In this episode of the podcast I asked two of my good friends, Matt and Don to join me for a conversation about the subject that proved to be a very insightful and helpful one. We discussed the issue of temptation, the destructive impact it can have, how men typically deal with it and how we can deal with it better, measures we have taken personally to serve ourselves and our families as preventatives, and what is at the core of the issue.

REVIEW ON I-TUNES
A user's manual is an important document. It tells us how the product designer intended the product to be used, and how to do so effectively and safely. When we depart from its instructions, we do so at great risk to the product and ourselves. In spite of the cultural pressure to deconstruct and change what the Bible says, it still speaks with amazing clarity and authority. Marriages today are falling apart and we would do well to return to the description of marital roles that our Creator gave from the beginning. This episode of the podcast is meant to be a liberating breath of fresh air to those who have found our culture's prescriptions for marriage wanting.

Parents have the best of intentions, but sometimes those intentions can lead us to fool ourselves on a number of different levels. Today I'm talking with Steve Johnson, a family ministry coach with a ton of experience. He and I are going to discuss ten lies you might be telling yourself and reveal the truths that the lies are meant to represent. I think you'll find this to be a lot of fun.

REVIEW ON I-TUNES
There has been a huge movement over the past few decades to completely level the playing field between men and women. In many ways it's been a good thing. But one of the extremes that has come out of that desire has been an attempt to diminish and downplay any and every difference between men and women. But biology alone tells us, men and women are NOT the same. We'd be wise not to expect them to be. And we want to be careful also that we take into account what the LORD says in the scriptures about the way He has designed men and women. He made them each in His image, but different, as male and female. With those design differences come differences in roles, and each is to maximize his or her role within the marriage relationship. In this episode of the podcast I'll be walking you through what the Bible says about a woman's role in marriage. I think you'll be helped by what God has told us, and you'll likely be challenged to change your thinking and your behavior in order to bring your life into line with God's desires.

REVIEW ON I-TUNES
In my Christian walk I've had many people who have invested time and energy into my growth and discipleship. But there were key points in my journey when there simply weren't individuals available who could come alongside me like I needed. I thank God that at those times He sovereignly led me to the realm of Christian books, in particular many of the Christian classics that have been passed down to us through history. People like Andrew Murray, C. H. Spurgeon, Oswald Chambers and others have been instrumental in shaping my thinking, my theology, and my faith - and therefore my life. In this episode of the podcast I'm very excited to welcome Luke Wilson of www.deeprootslibrary.com to talk with me about the importance of this kind of literature in the life of the Christian family. Luke has a great enthusiasm for books in general and Christian classics in particular. He's also working on a very unique and ambitious project to make Christian classics more readily available to everyone in the world, and I believe it's a project well worth your consideration. Enjoy listening as Luke and I have a great time talking about some of our favorite authors and the impact they've had on our lives.

REVIEW ON I-TUNES
The world is filled with ideas of what a man should be. When it comes to being a husband we can find even more expectations and examples of what makes a "good man" for a woman to find. But doesn't it make sense to find out what God says a Christian husband should be? This episode is a continuation of a previous episode where I dive deeply into what the scriptures say about what a Godly, Christian husband should be. Men... don't shy away from what God says. His empowerings are His enablings. Young women, don't settle for anything less... the LORD will bless you as you wait on Him.

God is doing a miracle after over 50 years of civil war in the South Sudan. The refugees who are returning to their homes are returning with very little equipping in what it means to be a family, Godly or otherwise. William and Hannah Levi are working to rebuild the nation literally from the ground up, starting with biblical foundations for the family and home. I was blessed to be able to provide them a handful of my books, "The Marriage Improvement Project" to aid them in their work. In this episode I'm talking with William about the state of things in South Sudan and how the Christian family is being used of God to influence the direction of the country.

If your son came to you and asked, "Dad/Mom, what does it mean to be a man?" What would you tell him? It's important that you have an answer to that question that is informed by what God, the Author of maleness and femaleness thinks on the issue. This session of the podcast highlights a biblical exposition of what it means to be a man... and the lesson is not just for your son. It's for you too.

What are your thoughts about Sam's view of positive affirmations? Leave your comments below!
Today's Guest:
Pastor Sam Crabtree
Positive affirmations are more than simply saying "good job" or "you look nice today." A truly positive affirmation goes much deeper, drawing out the reality of what God is doing in a person. It's an act of true delight in the person, and God's work in them. When it comes to family relationships, there's no better way to build a God-sized vision into your kids or your spouse than learning how to practice godly affirmation in the lives of your family members. in today's podcast, Pastor Sam Crabtree talks with me about the practice of affirmation, and what we need to do to ensure that we are giving maximum glory to God while building up those we are affirming. He's a great example as you'll hear on today's podcast. At the bottom of this page is the video I saw that first made me aware of Pastor Sam.
