Who best knows the technical capacity and ability of an engine? Wouldn't it be the engineer who created it? What about a poem? Who best knows its meaning and imagery? Isn't it the poet who wrote it? The designer knows best how his or her creation is to be used. The designer knows its capabilities the best. They understand why they made it and what it's for. When we think about marriage, the same is true. God knows what marriage is all about because He designed it for specific purposes. So Christian marriage is not something we should learn about first of all from books or psychologists or therapists. We should turn to God, the Designer to find out what He says is best for Christian marriage. In this episode you'll explore what God intended when He created marriage and find out its glorious purpose and the power it can have in impacting the watching world.

R.C. Sproul, Jr.
For Christians and non-Christians alike, the loss of a loved one can be a devastating thing, and fear of it can be paralyzing. How does a person live as a grieving person in an authentic way, while at the same time living faithfully and fully for the sake of their LORD Jesus? In this conversation I had the opportunity to ask those questions of R.C. Sproul, Jr. In the past year R.C. has lost his wife and one of his children and speaks very openly and genuinely about the grief he is experiencing, the process he's been going through, and the rock-solid theology that has held him up all along the way. You won't want to miss this episode!

Male female relationships have always been tough... well, not really always. Originally God created male and female in such a way that they were complementary to each other, carrying out roles within their relationship that made everything work. And Jesus came to restore that way of functioning... but whether or not Christian couples live that out depends in large part on whether they understand what He's done and what He intends. In today's episode of the podcast we look at how Jesus dealt with women and find that He took on an attitude about women that was very, very different from that of the sinful culture in which He lived. He lived according to the original design of God, and restored it.

Today's Guest:
Rob Rienow
It's a heart-breaking situation for Christian parents when their adult children turn away from the faith. It can be very tempting to give up hope, resigning yourself to the reality that your children are grown and have made their own choices. But does that mean there's nothing you can do? Are there things that the LORD can do in your heart and through you that might make a difference? In this episode Rob Rienow discusses this issue with us, and reveals some powerful biblical principles to help us navigate this difficult topic.

What are your thoughts about the heart of time management? Leave your comments below!
Today's Guest:
Loren Pinilis
Every person on the face of the planet struggles to make the best use of their time. 24 hours a day is all any of us have. Too often the issue of time management is thought and spoken about in terms of gadgets, schedules, calendars, and to do lists. But Loren Pinilis believes time management has much more to do with the state of our hearts than it does any of those things. In this conversation Loren and I kind of "freestyle" without an outline, to talk about this issue of time management. The outcome was a very helpful and practical way of thinking about daily issues and relationships, and how the management of our time relates to them. I think you'll be blessed by this conversation.

The designer of a thing does so with a purpose in mind. The same is true of God's design for marriage. He intended marriage to be one man and one woman, for life. And He intended that relationship to function in a certain way, with each partner in the relationship taking on specific roles according to how He has designed them as individuals. In this episode we will dive in to the biblical teaching on male/female relationships in marriage and discover the basic roles each was to play in the marriage. It's an issue that is fundamental to a healthy, Christ-centered home - because it represents His relationship with the church, and shows every person in the home His great love for them.

Today's Guest:
Lt. General Robert VanAntwerp (ret.)
Every working parent knows the struggle of balancing their commitment to their work with the higher priority of their commitment to their family. For some time I've been looking for a man who could serve as a great example in this balance, and I found one in Retired Lt. General Robert VanAntwerp. His zeal for Christ combined with his commitment to his family, enabled him to make his family the priority they needed to be in his 39 year military career, WHILE performing in an outstanding way in his role in the command structure of the U.S. Army. This podcast conversation was a blessing for me, and I trust it will be to you too!

There's a ton of tension that surrounds the issue of equality of the sexes. But if we can stop and get our biblical bearings, the tension doesn't have to have a large impact on our lives. In this edition of the podcast I take you back to the very beginning, to look at what God did when He put the human race on the planet. The pattern created by the architect of humanity makes complete and total sense, and expresses His creativity and genius, as well as our value and importance. He made man and woman - and put them together to form a relational masterpiece that has never been improved upon... and He created it for our good and His glory.
