At its March 11, 2026 meeting, the Aiea Neighborhood Board confirmed quorum, heard city and state agency updates on crime, fires, water main breaks, legislative initiatives, and redevelopment plans (including Red Hill, OCCC, and Aloha Stadium), addressed ongoing public safety and traffic concerns—ultimately failing to pass an intersection parking restriction—and adjourned with plans to meet again on April 14, 2026.

In its March 10, 2026 meeting, the Liliha-Alewa Neighborhood Board addressed illegal parking, homelessness near Kuakini Hospital, water infrastructure and stream overgrowth, traffic congestion around Liliha Bakery, free school meals advocacy, and legislative updates—culminating in plans for a June 8 candidate forum and underscoring the community’s focus on safety, maintenance, and resident engagement.

On March 11, 2026, the Waimanalo Neighborhood Board commenced with a cultural blessing, received reports from emergency providers and public agencies, addressed community concerns over Hawaiian immersion pathways, infrastructure, and invasive species, and concluded by emphasizing collaborative solutions for Waimanalo’s continued well-being.

At its March 6, 2026, meeting, the Kuli‘ou‘ou-Kalani Iki Neighborhood Board discussed local emergency services updates, Board vacancies and attendance concerns, highway safety improvements, water conservation and legislative news, and FAA airspace changes, emphasizing continued community engagement and participation in upcoming initiatives.

At its March 6, 2026 meeting, the Kailua Neighborhood Board addressed Lanikai’s pressing traffic and parking issues (ultimately rejecting immediate no-parking signs), honored the late Corral Tresnick Jr., previewed community events and efforts against the coconut rhinoceros beetle, received safety and infrastructure updates, discussed library modernization and housing legislation, and adjourned having postponed some agenda items for further review.

At the March 6, 2026 Downtown-Chinatown Neighborhood Board meeting, officials and community members discussed February crime data and staffing shortages from HPD and HFD, concerns over houselessness and quality-of-life offenses, plans for upcoming neighborhood events, noise and zoning issues, short-term rental enforcement, and various legislative updates, all before confirming the next meeting date.

During its March 4, 2026 meeting, the Waianae Coast Neighborhood Board heard first responder updates, discussed Army training and environmental concerns, reviewed plans for a new pre-K hub at Kamaili Academy, supported the Boys and Girls Club’s Project HOPE event, learned about revised flood insurance rate maps, addressed community issues and elected officials’ reports, and revisited a motion on the Pledge of Allegiance.

At its February 27, 2026 meeting, the Waipahu Neighborhood Board filled a vacant at-large seat, received first-responder, military, and government updates, introduced the new GROW organic waste pilot, and set forthcoming community events and priorities.

At its February 26, 2026, hybrid meeting, the Makakilo-Kapolei-Honokai Hale Neighborhood Board covered public safety updates (including wildfire preparedness and crime statistics), water supply and infrastructure plans (such as Makakilo Drive extension and solid waste management), the Exceptional Tree Program, Hawai‘i Airspace Modernization proposals, and upcoming community events, concluding with legislative updates and a reminder of the next meeting date.
