The September 30, 2026 Hawaiʻi Kai Neighborhood Board meeting addressed public safety, water and power resilience, infrastructure and environmental concerns, community development, and unanimously urged the city to rescind the Koko Crater Stables eviction while pursuing rehabilitation and continued public equestrian use.

The board covered its upcoming relocation, public safety and infrastructure concerns, community stormwater and cleanup initiatives, a contentious LNG proposal, and numerous neighborhood issues while assigning follow-up actions for future meetings.

The Waipahu Neighborhood Board reviewed public-safety, development, food-security, storm-recovery, infrastructure, and community-event matters, amended and approved a resolution opposing Costco’s proposed gas station, and announced its next meeting for October 22, 2026.

The September 24, 2026 neighborhood board meeting addressed public safety, traffic and infrastructure concerns, emergency preparedness, housing and water-system issues, rail and transit-oriented development, and adopted resolutions supporting green infrastructure and community commemorations while opposing current TOD bills without enforceable public benefits.

The September 24 Mililani-Waipio Neighborhood Board meeting covered fire and battery safety, police and homeless-outreach responses, military activity and noise, storm damage and ADA sidewalk hazards, community updates, and unresolved board elections, with follow-ups deferred to the October 28 meeting.

The Pearl City Neighborhood Board addressed public safety, traffic, disaster preparedness, infrastructure, environmental and zoning concerns, housing, community services, legislative priorities, and unanimously supported exploring a dedicated Pearl City community plan.

The September 23 North Shore Neighborhood Board meeting addressed police and infrastructure updates, community concerns over proposed fiber, Mill Camp housing, and Papailoa development, storm recovery and environmental issues, public-service projects, and upcoming meetings and consultations.

The September 23 Wahiawā-Whitmore Neighborhood Board meeting addressed public safety, opposition and unresolved security questions surrounding the proposed pedestrian bridge, military activity and environmental concerns, community events, storm preparedness, infrastructure, and follow-up on a proposed women’s treatment home and other neighborhood issues.

The meeting examined Waikīkī’s public-safety challenges and coordinated responses, highlighting progress against serious crime while identifying persistent concerns over homelessness, repeat low-level offenses, sentencing, police staffing, and nighttime noise, with follow-up planned on judicial practices, diversion, legislation, and targeted enforcement.

The September 18 Waialae-Kahala Neighborhood Board meeting addressed public safety, infrastructure, traffic and transportation concerns, storm and water resilience, community development proposals, waste recycling, and approval of the annual Turkey Trot.
