At its May 18, 2026 meeting, the Aliamanu-Salt Lake Neighborhood Board honored Salt Lake Elementary’s 55th anniversary and local student achievements, reviewed public safety and government updates, heard plans for the Pualoa Solar project and Aloha Stadium redevelopment, and approved a resolution supporting the solar project.

At the May 15, 2026 Koʻolauloa Neighborhood Board meeting, residents and officials focused on disaster preparedness and recovery, illegal vacation rentals and land-use enforcement, public safety and infrastructure concerns, renewable energy siting, and making the board more accountable and effective through stronger follow-up and clearer priorities.

At the May 15, 2026 Ewa Neighborhood Board meeting, residents pressed for action on recurring Westloch smoke and fire risks, heard presentations on men’s cancer outreach, Inspire Church’s Ho‘opili project, and opposition to LNG infrastructure, and expressed broad frustration that lack of quorum prevented formal board action.

At its backlog-heavy May 15 meeting, the Diamond Head-Kapahulu-St. Louis Neighborhood Board rapidly reviewed storm recovery, public safety, wildfire and infrastructure concerns, sharply debated a proposed Kapahulu mobility hub, and adopted resolutions on Kapiʻolani Park trust lands, restoring bus service through central Kaimukī, and archery range safety.

At its May 14, 2026 meeting, the Pālolo Neighborhood Board—unable to act for lack of quorum—heard updates centered on storm recovery, public safety, homelessness outreach, housing and transit advocacy, cell tower and beach access concerns, drainage and illegal dumping problems, infrastructure and school funding, and postponed formal decisions until July.

At the May 14, 2026 Kalihi Valley Neighborhood Board meeting, officials and residents addressed wildfire prevention, rising crime and water conservation, emergency resilience planning, delays in replacing the long-closed Kalihi Valley Homes community center, contentious residential parking permit rules, and ongoing park, infrastructure, and legislative updates.

At its May 13, 2026 meeting, the Aiea Neighborhood Board addressed emergency access and wildfire readiness, traffic and parking safety, homelessness and animal nuisances, utility and storm-recovery issues, major updates on the new Aloha Stadium and other public projects, and postponed action on a healthcare partnership resolution until July.

At its May 12, 2026 meeting, the Waimānalo Neighborhood Board addressed public safety and wildfire readiness, water outage communication failures, school and community updates, regional climate planning, and contentious questions over the Hui Mahiai/kauhale and reservoir projects, emphasizing the need for clearer agency accountability and community consultation.

At its May 12, 2026 meeting, the Liliha-Alewa Neighborhood Board reviewed April fire, crime, and water reports, addressed accessibility parking, park and development issues, heard legislative and election updates, and confirmed there will be no June meeting, with the next meeting and candidate forum set for July 13.
