Today’s Scripture reflections for Palm Sunday of the Lord’s Passion:
At the Procession with Palms (Luke 19:28-40): Jesus enters Jerusalem riding a donkey, fulfilling prophecy and revealing the humble nature of His kingship.
First Reading (Isaiah 50:4-7): The Suffering Servant, despite persecution and humiliation, remains faithful and trusts in the Lord’s vindication.
Responsorial Psalm (Psalm 22:8-9, 17-18, 19-20, 23-24): "My God, my God, why have You abandoned me?"—a cry that moves from anguish to praise.
Second Reading (Philippians 2:6-11): Christ humbles Himself, obedient even unto death, and is exalted by the Father.
Gospel (Luke 22:14—23:56): The Passion narrative from the Last Supper through the Crucifixion, unveiling the full extent of Christ’s self-emptying love.
Through these readings, we are invited to walk with Christ from triumph to tragedy, to recognize the radical nature of His kingship, and to enter Holy Week with hearts open to the paradox of victory through surrender.
