Hi everyone and welcome to the Chronicles of Mister. Today’s podcast is with Nikilia Reid.
Principal Reid serves at a charter school in Hartford Connecticut. I had the dope honor of working with Niki at a charter school in New Haven Connecticut where I was able to glean watching her being a Master teacher who was aware of her sphere of influence.
In this conversation she discusses some of the struggles she has faced, how her voice was "too much", why education needs to change in regards to credentials, why certain models of education work for some areas and not in others and how control needs to be released so that both teachers can reach their full potential and how kiddos can become who they without restrictions or constraints.
This conversation is a great one and this pod is part 1 of 2.
With part 2 dropping on Wednesday of this week.
Niki has a book that you can get off of Amazon --> it's entitled Now We Write Book
