Hi everyone and welcome to the Chronicles of Mister. Today’s podcast is with Jonah Craggett. I had the honor of working with Jonah at a charter school in New Haven Connecticut where we were the only Black male teachers in the middle school. We were hired due to a cohort of kiddos who were labeled as “too much” for the other middle school teachers.

However, what myself and Mr. Craggett came to see was that that group of kiddos just needed to be validated and seen, which is what we did. We were able to liberate the “too much” kids with love as the great Maya Angelou eloquently put it. In this conversation. Mr. Craggett and I talk about validation, authenticity and unlearning certain practices.
