Day 176 | Isaiah 12:1-6, Isaiah 17:1-14, 2 Chronicles 28:16-21, 2 Kings 16:10-18, 2 Chronicles 28:22-25, 2 Kings 18:1-8, 2 Chronicles 29:1-2, 2 Kings 15:30-31, 2 Kings 17:1-4, Hosea 1:1–2:13
Hosea’s story begins with a shocking command from God: to marry a prostitute as a living illustration of Israel’s unfaithfulness. Through the names of their children—Jezreel, Lo-Ruhamah, and Lo-Ammi—God speaks a message of coming judgment, no mercy, and broken relationship. But even in the harshest declarations, hope remains. In the closing verses, God promises restoration, unity, and love for His people. This episode wrestles with the heartbreak of betrayal, the justice of a holy God, and the relentless mercy that never gives up.
