Day 190 | Psalms 105–106
In today’s reading, Psalms 105 and 106 recount God’s enduring faithfulness throughout Israel’s history—from the covenant with Abraham, through the Exodus and wilderness, to the conquest, the judges, the kingdom, and eventual exile. Psalm 105 celebrates God’s mighty acts and unwavering promises, while Psalm 106 turns to the people’s repeated unfaithfulness: idolatry, rebellion, and disobedience. Yet even in judgment, God shows mercy, rescues His people, and remembers His covenant. These psalms are both a praise-filled reflection and a sobering reminder of the consequences of sin—and the unmatched faithfulness of a covenant-keeping God.
