Most people would say that church is a place for events, such as weddings, funerals, baptisms, baby dedications, or prayer meetings. But first and foremost, church (the occasion of God’s people meeting together) should be a place for change. In fact, did you know that the word repent carries the meaning of changing one’s mind? The last paragraph of Acts chapter 2 could be titled How the Church Changed Their City. Let’s examine how this change was a five-fold work.
