Message Series | Race & Inequalities | With God, all people are created equal and have the same value. However, society does not think this way. Society has evolved to esteem some physical characteristics and social standings as more valuable than others. For example, if you’re the right color, the right height, or the right gender, then you may have an advantage over somebody who’s doesn’t have one of those characteristics or features. This isn’t fair; however, God can use a social privilege for his purposes. So if you have a privilege, don’t automatically push it away; instead, allow God to use it.

Message Series | Race & Inequalities | Research shows that 9 out of 10 churches in the United States are segregated. This means that if you randomly visit any church in America, there is a 90% chance that the congregation will be all black, all white, all Asian, all Hispanic, etc. This makes the Church one of the most segregated organizations on the planet. Because of this racial segregation in the Body of Christ, the Church is ineffective in effecting change in the culture.

Open Forum |  We had a very interesting conversation about what constitutes appropriate dating practices. I suggested that kissing is something that should be reserved for your spouse, just as sex should be. I shared my testimony of how my wife and I refrained from kissing during our dating process and the benefits we received from waiting until our wedding day to kiss.

Message Series | Race & Inequalities | Due to systemic inequalities within our culture, when a white Christian achieves success, many non-white Christians may attribute their accomplishments to white privilege rather than recognizing it as God's anointing. Making such assumptions without knowing a person's circumstances can lead to a misinterpretation that diminishes the power of God, resulting in bitterness and restricting the potential of God's work.
