  • Humility-A Cure For America

Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall, expresses concern about the future of America and Western civilization. America is fraught with incredible danger from global conflict, an open Southern border, unwise economic policies, and self-defeating energy policies. The secular age of today is marked by what Prof. Charles Taylor calls excarnation as opposed to the incarnation of God that was celebrated at Christmas time. Excarnation is the withdrawing and denying of God by men In today’s secular society, Dr. Hall alludes to the degradation of morality in society from issues of marriage, abortion, dignity of work, rule of law, and a commitment to excellence. He points out that one of the primary characteristics of a society in excarnation is a lack of biblical humility. Proverbs 22:4 tells us that “Humility is fear of the Lord.” Dr. Hall points out that God cannot be for a group of people who lack humility and are full of arrogance, and that these traits will eventually bring us under God’s discipline. The lies told by an excarnate secular society are reviewed. Dr. Hall concludes this podcast by prayerfully hoping the listeners will have a commitment to unwavering biblical humility and that God will help us see everything in life, including our clothes, our humor, our entertainment, our vocation, our relationships, our politics, and all the rest through the eyes of God. Christians can change the direction of our country. Can also be seen on YouTube at: https://youtu.be/ph_gbHTJEnc

  • Psychics, Tarot Cards, and Crystal Balls

Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall, addresses the growing industry of psychics, Tarot card readers, and other fortune tellers. He points out that consumers aren’t affiliated with a particular religion and agnostics make up the majority of psychics customers. Individuals seeking services of psychics and astrologers come from all sorts of backgrounds including executives, entrepreneurs, and everyday working people. He notes that even Pres. Ronald Regan and his wife had a personal astrologist that they consulted regularly. Fortune-telling is a $2 billion-a-year industry with more than 85,000 people working in this sector and making about 1.5 billion in total wages. Dr. Hall talks in depth about some of the methods used for fortune-telling including horoscopes, and the origin of zodiac signs, palm reading, dice, tea leaf reading, and use of crystal balls. Many verses in the Bible make it clear that God finds psychics and fortunetellers detestable. The ways that God speaks to us are reviewed with a focus on dreams. Dr. Hall believes that the activities of psychics should be dismissed as a source of unreliable knowledge. His advice is to never consult a psychic or fortuneteller, read another horoscope or follow astrologers or listen to her read any other prophet except those found in the word of God. • Tangled Tinsel

Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall, uses the metaphor tangled tinsel to refer to troubling realities during Christmas time. He first focuses on the Satanic altar that was allowed to be placed among Christmas displays in the Iowa capital building. Michael Cassidy, former US Navy pilot and Christian destroyed this satanic display and has been hailed as a “Satan Slayer” and Christian hero. Dr. Hall raises the question, “What would Jesus have done if he found a Satanic altar in the house of the people?” Dr. Hall reviews the growing spending on Christmas and Holiday gifts noting that Christmas has become less of a religious holiday and more secular. More than 40% of consumers report that they do not earn enough income to cover the planned holiday spending. Questions raised about celebrating Christmas are addressed by Dr. Hall. The history of the tradition of gift-giving is outlined. Dr. Hall concludes the podcast by pointing out that what matters most is not how we celebrate Christmas but what we celebrate at this time of year. Can be heard on all podcast search engines. • Hope

Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall, delves into the meaning of the word, “hope.” He explains the secular meaning of this word and the amount of uncertainty that is attached to the word because it does not consider the will of God. He explains that worldly hope is not a virtue and is often misdirected and selfishly motivated. It is pointed out hope in the Old Testament does not have doubt as part of the meaning. The same is true in the New Testament as the Greek word for hope is also a confident expectation. Secular hope is just a wish. Biblical hope is guaranteed certainty when God has said it. It is impossible for God to lie so biblical hope becomes an anchor for our soul. Dr. Hall reviews some of the things that God has promised. It is pointed out that Scripture tells us we will overflow with biblical hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Biblical hope is reality not just feeling. It is knowing that God keeps his promises, especially regarding eternal life.

  • Thanksgiving Day Special

On this special Thanksgiving Day podcast, ordained minister Dr. Dennis Hall engages his stepdaughter Lane Leddy in a discussion of gratitude. They begin by reflecting on the history of Thanksgiving Day, noting that in 1863 Pres. Abraham Lincoln called for two days of Thanksgiving in the midst of the Civil War. By the 1890s nearly every state celebrated Thanksgiving on the last Thursday of November. Dr. Hall points out that the words thank, Thanksgiving, thankful and other derivatives appear more than 130 times in the Bible. The discussion leads to the conclusion that we should not only thank God in good times but we should thank him in bad times too. The different depths of gratitude are addressed. They recognize some plunder the world forever seeking more. They feel supremely entitled. Others use gratitude as a temporary escape from their guilt over their pleasure-seeking efforts. Some people are grateful for the small and simple things in life. Still, others have gratitude as their constant companion and seem to be content. And there is that special group of people who are grateful even for adversities, living in a life of total surrender. It is clear that gratitude makes one happier and healthier. In addition to facilitating contentment gratitude strengthens relationships. The podcast concludes with Dr. Hall challenging the listeners to take time on Thanksgiving Day to offer a prayer of gratitude for God being with you in the good times and the bad times. • Israel Pause? No!

The recent increase in activists, commentators, and political leaders calling for a cease-fire or a pause in the Palestinian/Israeli war is addressed by ordained minister Dr. Dennis Hall. He begins the podcast by discussing the international humanitarian laws known as the Geneva Conventions. These laws protect civilians, medical personnel, injured soldiers, and prisoners of war. The ideas that undergird the Geneva Conventions can be traced back to the writings of St. Augustine who lived in the fourth century. These ideas are known as the just war theory. The most common justification for war is the crime of aggression, and leaders of nations have a responsibility to protect their citizens from barbaric aggression. Just war theory also includes the principles that must be followed during a war. Conventionally, this has been understood to mean that only enemy combatants may be targets and that civilians must never be intentionally harmed. The concept known as Proportionally of Means is analyzed. This concept means that a military response to an attack should not be more than is necessary to right the wrong. Dr. Hall points out that the Bible makes it very clear that God is not opposed to killing and that since he and Jesus are one it eliminates the argument that Jesus is opposed to war and killing. The Bible makes it clear that governments are established to punish those who do evil. It has been said that there are many reasons for war. Imperialism. Financial gain. Religion. Feuds. And racial arrogance. But God condones war in response to wickedness. Dr. Hall concludes this podcast by asking the listeners to pray for godly wisdom for leaders, for a quick solution to the conflict and a  minimum of casualties among civilians on both sides. • Marching For Palestinian Murderers

Dennis Hall and his guest Justin Bohner, Assistant Pastor, First Baptist Church, Highlands, NC begin this podcast by reviewing the barbaric atrocities against innocent Israeli citizens on October 7. This attack was led by a terrorist group known as Hamas that have a stated goal of eradicating Jews. Israel responded militarily and have gone to great lengths to protect innocent civilians, that Hamas uses as human shields. Shockingly in the United States, tens of thousands of young people have marched in the streets and on campuses in support Hamas and the Palestinians. These two pastors analyze the demonic nature of this outpouring of sympathy for these barbaric acts. They discuss the Marxist socialist thought that exists on university campuses that has resulted in an attitude of destruction, meaning everything deserves to perish. This attitude of tearing down and dismantling stories, histories, heroes and heroines, and all the proverbial wisdom of the past is now coupled with postmodern unconstrained individualism. Some refer to this demonic movement as a culture of death. This explains why many of America’s young people have no qualms about Palestinians slaughtering babies. The cult of the victim mentality is analyzed and used as a reason for the support of the Hamas barbarians. These two pastors remind us that America remains a God-fearing center-right country with people who have a deep reservoir of commonsense. They conclude by expressing confidence that Americans will overcome the demonic irrational wokeness that is gripping America. Can also be seen on YouTube at:

  • Is The New House Speaker Scary?

Dr. Dennis Hall and his guest Dr. Jay Powell, Senior Pastor of the Church at the Beach, Panama City Beach, Florida discuss the characteristics of Christian fundamentalists and evangelical Christians. They point out that these labels are considered negative descriptions by much of society. The newly elected House Speaker, Mike Johnson, has been labeled as an extreme Christian fundamentalist who should scare everyone in his role in the House of Representatives. Mike Johnson has a long history of working to support conservative Christian values in the legislative processes. Johnson refers to himself as a Bible-believing Christian. His admission to using the Bible as his guide for life has brought him much criticism. It is ironic that almost all of our past presidents have quoted the Bible. Hall and Powell point out that leadership isn’t what the world thinks it is. God uses broken men and women, redeemed by His Son to become ambassadors to the world. God is calling all of us to be leaders and influencers. We cannot be an influencer for God and Jesus unless our life is led in a way that we can be trusted. The podcast ends by reminding the listeners to be sincere about their faith in Jesus and others will see his image in you. Can also be seen on YouTube at:

  • Why Are You Here

There are many in this world who seem confused and even discouraged about the purpose of their life. Dr. Dennis Hall dispels the idea that God created man because he was lonely or that mankind filled some godly need. He discusses God's self-sufficiency and how God described himself to Moses. Dr. Hall points out that God created us because it pleased him to do so. God created us in his image, meaning that he placed within us a spirit, a soul, and the capacity to love so that he can have a relationship with us. All people have a common purpose, which is to bring glory to God. We bring glory to God by worshiping Him, obeying his commandments, and showing his love to others. Why God created man's capacity to disobey, and sin is explored. Dr. Hall points out that we exist to bring our lives into alignment with God’s overflowing, exalting soul-satisfying love. He concludes this podcast by telling the listeners that they will be restless, confused, or lacking in fulfillment until they begin living in line with God’s purpose for creating them.
