If you are a patriot and/or follower of Jesus Christ then you are a danger. You are a threat to the established order, and you must be dealt with. You are a peasant and must not be allowed to organize, communicate or get together because you pose too great a threat to tyranny.
That's what all the purging is about: keeping us all separated, unable to speak. But the truth, precisely because it is the truth, can never be completely overcome. For example, in the political arena, consider these truths:
No matter how much the ruling class says the opposite, these truths remain truths. The same is true — actually more true — in the theological realm of God's law. Truth is Our Blessed Lord. He told us Himself.
But consider that in the current climate (which is hostile to truth because it has been engineered by the diabolical), believers need to collectivize — come together and recharge, reenergize based on these eternal truths. This is why, for nearly 2,000 years, the Catholic Church has encouraged the faithful to occasionally pull out of the madness of the world and make a spiritual retreat, to meditate on the glories and mysteries of the divine.
We are in a raging spiritual war, waging combat against the Prince of Darkness himself and his offspring here on earth. We need God and His graces (most especially those we are afforded through the sacraments), but we also need each other. Community, ironically enough, is exactly what communism seeks to destroy.
Since it derives from Satan, it sees humanity and human relationship as that which needs to be destroyed. Heaven is about community, communion with the divine and each other through the divine. We even have that now in what we call the Communion of Saints, the souls on earth in the Church Militant, the souls in Purgatory and the souls in Heaven.
We were made for each other and to be perfected in the glow of the divine glory. It is not good for man to be alone, and even if a man is "alone" in this world, he is never truly alone (in a certain sense). He is always united to God, and his destiny is eternal communion. Perhaps at no other time in Church Militant history has there been a greater need to come together and be in communion with one another than right now, a time for the peasants to unite.
Many of you know that, each year, Church Militant hosts a "Retreat at Sea" — a week-long cruise jam-packed with spiritual talks, Mass, prayers and community. Hundreds of folks attend these each year; however, this year, because of the COVID crackdowns, no ships are sailing.
So we have transferred this year's Retreat at Sea to a "Retreat on Land" in Texas, close to Dallas, in a town called Frisco. And we're taking this moment to highly, strongly, encourage you to attend. We will have many of the same activities, just not on a ship.
And importantly, this year's retreat will take place during Holy Week, a perfect theme for the faithful followers of Christ to gather together and meditate on Our Lord's suffering, passion and death, and most importantly, His resurrection. It's easy, we know, in this environment to get down and concentrate on the gloom. That gloom is real, no doubt, and there is much to be concerned about.
But we belong to Christ, in life and death. We are the Lord's, and we can never lose sight of this. And notice, St. Paul tells us we are the Lord's. God is our Father. This language speaks to the reality of community. Even the word "church" has its roots in the Jewish understanding of God's "people."
So enough from me.
Please click on the provided link — review the slate of many things we have going on — and sign up.
And a note to our non-Catholic brothers and sisters: While the retreat will obviously be centered on Catholic theology and will be drawing heavily from Sacred Scripture, you should not feel in any way you are not welcome. Of course, you are. Certainly, all the baptized can gather together in community and pray and meditate on the divine realities.
So please feel welcome, because you certainly are.
Again, please click on the link, and check it out. Look at the dates and let's come together in community as the divine desires and the diabolical despises.

The world is in the grip of a panic created by so-called experts over a virus that has an almost 99% survival rate. If you'll recall, about a year ago, everyone seemed willing to believe that this very well might be the next Black Death and was willing to take precautions, including sacrificing their freedom and liberty, crashing the most successful economy in U.S. history and, for Catholics, losing virtually all access to the sacraments.
But a funny thing happened on the way to near-extinction of the human race, it actually didn't happen. At first, we were told, "Stop the world and all life as we know it for 14 days while we 'flatten the curve.'" Then it was, "Mask up." Then it was social distancing, and one by one, every normal facet of life simply vanished.
But, after a while, there was something that seemed contrived about all of it, as stories of various scientists contradicting each other kept coming up: Masks work; no they don't; now wear two, or six, or whatever. Every day there was new weird order, medical information, all of it contradicting whatever you had heard the day before.
The World Health Organization lied. China lied. And then, all of a sudden, like they had gotten some secret memo, the media and the so-called experts found their footing and started lying as well. Soon, the only people allowed to speak publicly were the mask Nazis and Dr. Fauci — who still doesn't seem to have gotten his "facts" straight about masks.
First, they don't work. Then, wear them everywhere. Although it didn't seem to apply to him when he went to sporting events. Just like it didn't seem to apply to Nancy Pelosi or Gavin Newsom or Tampa's lesbian mayor or even Communist News Network's Chris Cuomo (who got busted by a neighbor when he was supposedly in quarantine).
All the elites and experts were ordering everyone else to mask up, but none of them were, unless there were cameras on. As the virus of experts dragged on and lives were being destroyed in the process, the elites committed the crime of opportunity of the century: They used their virus as a means to steal an election and get rid of their nemesis, Donald Trump.
Democratic-controlled states, one after the other, broke their own laws to rig the system and get billions of mail-in ballots shipped out (which they forged hundreds of thousands of) and then stole the vote in the dead of the night, flipping nearly every key battleground state to the unelected Joe Biden.
As those first weeks went by and it turned into months — and, now, almost a year — it seemed like the elites had gotten their way and we were about to drop the pretense about masks and social distancing and everything else. But hey, after they saw the carnage they could inflict on a country, they decided, "Let's keep riding this horse."
Why? Because so many people are actually going along with giving up their freedoms (because they are scared or stupid or both) that the Marxists have found the goose that lays the golden egg. Anyone who questions the narrative is labeled a nut job, thrown off social media and somehow turned into a white supremacist who needs to be expunged from polite society.
While all of this goes on, the media continues to lie about the numbers of actual cases related leading to strictly COVID deaths. Anyone who dies of anything, if COVID is even in the mix, their death is attributed to COVID. This week on Mic'd Up, Church Militant speaks with Jay Richards, a faculty member at Catholic University of America, who says this pretense must be resisted.
And for Catholics in particular, Richards says the U.S. hierarchy has folded like a house of cards, going along with governmental lockdowns that are beyond stupid — not to mention unconstitutional. One of the most severe impacts of the virus created by experts is the way it has reduced so many citizens to terrified sheep.
It has also created a god-complex, with many people who have some itching to go around and exercise fake authority over other citizens, chasing them down in stores and even outside, screaming at them to put on their masks and stop killing people. And in Catholic circles, the willingness of so many to just sit there and obey ridiculous rules during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is astounding — stupefying to watch.
Put frankly, what the hell are you going along with this for? In Mass, inside your parishes, a government-ordered crackdown is being enforced by your bishops, the same bishops who have betrayed you time and time again to curry favor with these government overlords. This episode of Mic'd Up may be one of the more controversial — which is really saying something — that we've aired here at Church Militant and is well worth the watch.
Too many people — Catholics especially — are just accepting at face value the words of child-killers and those who helped get them into power. You have a duty to stand up to this wherever you can, especially in Church. Just simply refuse to wear a mask in the House of God. No ands, ifs or buts.
Refuse. Sit away from others if you have to, but refuse. You are there to worship God, not man and certainly not to obey Ceasar's rules invading the Holy Sacrifice. Just stop it. Refuse. What are they going to do, call the police? And if they do, be sure and get video and send it to us.
The Marxist experts found a method (which, yes, does hurt or even kill some people) to bring an entire world to heel using fear. You are being warmed up, plied, used, to usher in the Great Reset.

Following up on yesterday's explosive revelation that a high-ranking official at the archdiocese of Detroit admits to being gay and living with his gay partner for 15 years, more information is now coming to light.
This story seems to be shaping up into an archdiocesan employee who is gay and apparently knows where all the bodies are buried in the gay network and, as a consequence, is being treated with kid gloves by Abp. Vigneron, lest he blow the whistle on the whole gay clergy network in Detroit — which is vast.
First, insiders tell Church Militant that various people in the chancery are well aware of Joe Balistreri's lifestyle and either outright agree or don't disagree, and this includes various high-ranking clergymen.
Secondly, it would appear these same officials are cool with gay men but, lesbians, well, not so much. Back last summer, a lesbian music director, Terry Gonda (at St. John Fisher Parish in Auburn Hills, Michigan in the archdiocese) was fired when her civil marriage to another lesbian was discovered.
The problem was the relationship had been nearly 10 years old and was known by loads of people. But the archdiocese of Detroit sent her a termination letter saying she was "morally unfit to keep her job" so it was activating its morality clause and firing her. Yet when it comes to a gay man as opposed to a lesbian woman, he gets a free pass for 15 years. Why is that?
And moreover, as we touched on yesterday, this all came about because Abp. Vigneron was alerted to the claim that his archdiocesan music director was sexually propositioning young men. What's more, not only does the archdiocese of Detroit have the exact same situation on its hands — just the opposite sex — but this case involves not only a morality clause issue but also a potential crime.
Sexual harassment is a serious issue, and that was the original charge that brought all this to light. In the archdiocese's own policy manual, on page five, it reads under section five: "Clergy, staff and volunteers must not engage in physical, psychological, written or verbal harassment of staff, volunteers or parishioners and must not tolerate such harassment by other Church staff or volunteers."
It adds, specifically, "Harassment encompasses a broad range of physical, written or verbal behavior, including, but not limited to, the following: unwelcome sexual advances, sexual comments or sexual jokes." Likewise, given the background of claims of sexual harassment against young adult males, the question arises if the archdiocese has any legal exposure regarding Balistreri's lauded work with young at-risk youths at an archdiocesan school.
What liability do Vigneron and archdiocese have in permitting his volunteer work there knowing there is a claim of sexual harassment against him? Have they investigated if young males at the school may have been sexually harassed as is alleged in the original case?
Those are legal questions. What about the moral questions?
Why were they so quick to dump the lesbian for violating the morals clause of the employment contract but have apparently looked the other way with their director of music for the entire archdiocese?
Again, insiders suggest to Church Militant it's because what and who Balistreri is aware of, having been in the archdiocese in an official capacity for many years of his young life — where many clergy have had interpersonal relations with him.
The history of the gay network in this archdiocese is, in a word, breathtaking. From having its major seminary shut down by Rome for forcing seminarians to watch gay porn videos every week, to lying for years about the pro-gay group Dignity using Church property, to a slew of homosexual men in the seminary while Vigneron was rector — the history is long and sordid.
And now we have what sure looks and smells like a cover-up of not only the lifestyle of their head music man, but charges of alleged sexual harassment and a public-relations campaign to smear one of their own priests (who innocently stumbled across all this and is now being railroaded by high-ranking chancery personnel, up to and including the archbishop himself).
As a reminder, Vigneron is next in line to be president of the U.S. bishops' conference. So, given all this scandal surrounding him, Church Militant reached out to the USCCB for comment. We asked them if they are aware of any of this. And since they are now, would they be conducting any kind of investigation or considering a censure of Vigneron for his treatement of Fr. Suhy and for his covering up an active gay man living with his partner for 15 years.
We also reached out to the archdiocese of Detroit, but we are aware of a standing policy downtown to never answer a Church Militant media inquiry. We can't really understand why. That doesn't seem very "dialogue-y."
The real underlying problem here in Detroit is the collapse of faith among the leadership (stretching back decades) that allowed this infestation of homosexuality into the seminary leading into the presbyterate and, eventually, into the hierarchy over the years.
Detroit, under the leadership of Cdl. John Dearden from 1958 to 1980, was, in fact, the epicenter of all this in the Church in the United States. Many of the men involved in all this evil were his protégés and ordained by him — including Vigneron and his current older clergy insiders.
However, there does seem to be a quiet revolt among some younger priests here who are sick and tired of not being backed up by Vigneron when they proclaim Church teaching. What we do know is this case has the very real potential to blow the lid of all this. So we will wrap up where we began: Why did the archdiocese dump the lesbian in record time, but retain the self-admittedly gay man —who has been living with his "partner" for 15 years — on the payroll?
The answer to that question is the key to the entire network here in archdiocese of Detroit. Answer the question, Archbishop.

There are all sorts of Scripture passages that are pulled completely out of context and/or misinterpreted. The real meaning is often buried under the pretense of some passing fad, contorted to fit the flavor-of-the-month theology or a societal fad. One, of course, that immediately jumps to mind is the favorite line from Scripture for wimps, cowards and theological lightweights: "Do not judge."
It doesn't mean what you think it means, liberals.
But one that has gone overlooked (but that is very much in the same vein) is the wildly misunderstood "turn the other cheek." There isn't a wimpy-Catholic, liberal or conflict-avoidance coward who doesn't have this right at the top of his list of quotes to use to virtue signal and excuse his lack of zeal in confronting evil and injustice.
But what does it actually mean? Was the Son of God really telling His followers to just be doormats and not oppose injustice — as many like to claim — to cover their own cowardice? Far from it. In fact, recall that when Our Lord Himself was struck across the face, He didn't turn the other cheek, but actually confronted the guard who did it (at his trial before the Sanhedrin), saying, "If I speak the truth, then why do you strike Me?"
There is one key word in the passage about turning the other cheek that comes from Our Lord's Sermon on the Mount. Oftentimes, it is precisely the key word or phrase that gets omitted by those not wishing to embrace the fullness of the truth behind a given passage. In this case, it is what Our Lord says in the immediate run-up. He says, "If someone strikes you across your right cheek, offer them the other."
It is significant that He says right cheek. Why? Because in the ancient world, and especially among the Jews, the left hand was considered evil, and it was never to be the hand used first in an action. So if you were to be struck across the right side of your face, your right cheek, and the person striking you was to use their right hand in the action, that means they would have to use the back of their hand.
Okay, so far so good. But if you turned back to them, face to face, and then offered them your left cheek, that means they would have to strike you with the open palm of their right hand because, remember, the left hand cannot be used. Why is this important? Because turning the other cheek to the slapper so he would strike you open-palm was actually an act of defiance because striking with an open palm was reserved for social equals, not slaves or subordinates.
If he slapped you again, he would be upgrading your status. To strike in that manner, open-handed, he would be forced to elevate you to a higher-class citizen to exact his revenge. To offer the other cheek would force the hand, so to speak, of the one doing the slapping. It would be an assertion of your equality; it would be an act of defiance. Receiving a backhand meant you were lesser.
Receiving an open palm slap meant you were equals. It was standing for justice, but in a non-violent way. It was a direct confronting of the injustice but done without vengeance. But as we see way too often today from supposed followers of Christ, they are always looking for every way possible to avoid confronting evil and doing justice.
Justice is intimately bound up with charity because charity relates to truth, and Christ is truth. To deny justice, to not step forward and fight injustice, is a sure ticket to Hell. Justice demands that the innocent be protected, that those seeking refuge from evil be made safe. Justice therefore demands that the most innocent — the least safe — be fought for and protected at the cost of even our own lives.
And who are the most innocent and least safe? Those who have been deprived of the truth of the Catholic faith, willfully disinherited by wicked men who have stolen their inheritance from them. It becomes a condition of salvation, therefore, to confront these wicked men who are depriving others of the means of their eternal salvation.
It is the supreme act of charity to teach someone the truth, and it is the supreme act of justice to confront those who deny them the teachings. To not act justly and charitably to your neighbor is the very definition of being damned: "I was hungry and you did not give Me to eat; thirsty and you did not give Me to drink," and so forth. "Depart from me accursed into everlasting fire prepared for the Devil and his angels."
Satan was damned because of the supreme sin of omission: He would not give God what He was due, which, of course, is worship. It's not what he did; it's what he did not do. Given the current climate in the Church, Catholics must stop and ponder: Will they be damned likewise for the sins of omission?
Something to think of as Lent descends on us all. Instead of giving up chocolate, try giving up not doing the right thing.

The topic of this Vortex may be very disturbing to some viewers, and children should not be allowed to view this without parents first viewing it.
To give you the headline, when a 25-year-old gay scandal resurfaced in the archdiocese, a thinly veiled death threat was made against a deacon by the archdiocese of Chicago: Keep his mouth shut, or else.
We'll be getting into all of that.
A little less than half of all Catholics in America live in the roughly three dozen archdioceses around the country — the larger population centers. To be an archbishop is a highly coveted job among career-minded men, and, in many instances, the archbishops of the archdioceses have compromised the Faith to get into those high offices.
In fact, they have polluted the minds and souls of the faithful and continue to do so with lies, theft and cover-up, along with doctrinal, moral and liturgical corruption on a scale not seen publicly since the Protestant revolt of the 16th century. It's not that smaller dioceses don't have their problems; it's just that, normally speaking, the catfighting and moral compromise that goes on behind the scenes to get the more prestigious positions ramps up the stakes.
We have and will continue to spotlight the evils in the archdiocese of Detroit. But today, we're going to turn our sights 300 miles to the west, to the archdiocese of Chicago, to a truly disturbing case. Before we begin, understand that Church Militant has been turning the soil and digging on this story for more than a year, and we have confirmed and vetted all our information as we always do. But this story is so horrible, we had to quadruple check everything.
The evil we are about to tell you goes back decades and involves not only the homosexual former cardinal of Chicago — accused of sexual molestation during a satanic ritual — but also Cdl. Blase Cupich, who has happily inherited this corrupt cauldron of an archdiocese. It involves Resurrection Parish in the Avondale neighborhood of Chicago.
Back in 1991, the homosexual Cdl. Bernardin publicly designated Resurrection a "gay parish," welcoming sodomy and all that stuff. It was at an opening Mass on June 30, 1991 presided over by Bernardin that a banner celebrating homosexuality was hoisted into the rafters and covered up the crucifix.
At the Mass was the active homosexual pastor appointed by Bernardin — Daniel Montalbano. Montalbano was not only active as a homosexual but amassed an enormous amount of homosexual pornography that he kept in his room in the rectory. Noteworthy, at that Mass was a veritable rogues' gallery of child-molester priests, other actively homosexual clergy and many involved in covering them up.
Listed in attendance on the bulletin for the opening Mass, was Fr. Michael J. Weston, who later was accused multiple times of child molestation. Weston spent his last years as an active priest at Resurrection, and when accusations came to light in 1993, was allowed to flee Chicago by Bernardin (who was afraid of litigation and the story going public).
He was later kicked out of the priesthood by Rome, but, in his absence, no charges were ever able to be filed. To this day, his whereabouts are unknown.
Now, on to the pastor, Daniel Montalbano. On Sunday, May 25, 1997, Montalbano did not come down from his rectory room for the 9:00 a.m. Mass. Two deacons were present, and both went into the rectory, one accompanied by his wife, and entered his private suite looking for him. When they opened the door, they found him naked, dead and hooked up to a sex-machine.
We are going to be deliberately vague here (to protect people from retaliation), but Church Militant has confirmed this directly with at least one of the eyewitnesses: What ensued was a massive cover-up of the circumstances of his death and the perverse manner in which he died. Archdiocesan officials appeared almost immediately — in concert with Chicago Police — and ordered one of the deacons to gather up all the gay porn videotapes (numbering in the hundreds) and take them to the woods and burn them all.
For the record, all relevant records — from police, ambulance services, the morgue, the archdiocese, every possible place there would be official records — have been completely scrubbed, as though none of this ever happened.
Again, Church Militant has confirmed all the individuals who were present to all the goings on in the immediate aftermath. Once successfully squashing any chatter about the story and threatening those present, the archdiocese held a wildly enthusiastic and celebratory funeral Mass for Montalbano, offered, of course, by auxiliary bishop John R. Manz, who was made bishop the year before Bernardin died.
The archdiocese even allowed the state of Illinois to issue a proclamation praising Montalbano for all his social work, a rare move with government praising the passing of a supposedly simple parish priest. The false account put out by the Chicago archdiocese was that Montalbano died in his sleep. The reality was far different.
The archdiocese of Chicago then moved on, thinking they had successfully covered up yet another scandal of homosexual clergy. However, the whole story came back to life 20+ years later when parishioners discovered the notorious banner Bernardin and Montalbano had hung in the sanctuary.
After Montalbano's sordid death, the banner was taken down, and someone just stuffed it into the back of a cupboard. In August 2018, a terrific thunderstorm caused a leak in the church, and, in trying to clean up, parishioners discovered the banner. Recalling the evil surrounding it, they demanded of Fr. Paul Kalchik, the pastor since 2007, that it be burned.
Eventually, word got back to Cupich that the gay banner was going to be publicly burned and the parishioners were going to do it. He ordered Kalchik not to hold any public burning event. Kalchik obeyed, but the parishioners still wanted it burned, if not publicly, then privately, which is what happened.
Montalbano's gay banner was burned by parishioners, the exact same way archdiocesan officials had ordered Montalbano's gay porn videos to be secretly burned in the woods by a parish deacon.
All hell broke loose in the archdiocese once it was discovered the banner had been torn into smaller pieces and burned little by little. Current mayor and lesbian Lori Lightfoot and other liberal Chicagoans contacted Cupich and demanded he punish Kalchik.
Father Kalchik was forced to flee and go into hiding to escape the wrath of his homosexualist bishop, Cdl. Blase Cupich, and the local homosexual community, who were threatening his life. The incident resurrected the story of Fr. Montalbano and the sordid circumstances surrounding his death.
But it also resurrected the scandal of the chancery covering it all up. To make sure that story did not come out, threatening phone calls came from the chancery to anyone who had personal knowledge of the original scandal of a priest being praised by the archdiocese for his service yet having been discovered dead, hooked up to an electric sex machine in his rectory, surrounded by mountains of gay porn.
One of those individuals from back in the day who was "in the know" is Dcn. Paco Rivera, who received a mysterious call from downtown, ordering him to keep his mouth shut.
For the record and to protect him and his family, Dcn. Paco was not one of the eyewitnesses in discovering the body. In fact, he was initially lied to and told it was a suicide. Also, again for their protection, Church Militant has no intention of revealing who our sources are — and they are multiple — but they all had first-hand knowledge of the events.
We bring all this up right now to show the nature of these scandals and their cover-ups. They are generational. They are well-known by insiders who cover these evils up until they go to their graves. What happens after that is up to the Almighty.
But, here on earth, the innocent, unsuspecting sheep are taken in, fleeced, lied to, deprived of the truth and have no idea their spiritual so-called leaders are thieves, crooks and spiritual terrorists. The U.S. hierarchy needs to understand, Church Militant will not stop revealing their heinous sins and lies and evil until they are thoroughly discredited and, hopefully, resign.
Make no mistake, what happened in Chicago is only different in its circumstances and details. The same underlying principles apply in archdiocese after archdiocese — as we have shown you in case after case in New York, Los Angeles, Detroit and so forth.
Now that the truth of this is out in Chicago, a truth Cupich still wants covered up, will they fess up? Don't bet on it. Liars aren't really fond of truth, which is why they threaten innocent people who know.

So here's a straightforward question. Why is Church Militant so hated by Marxists in the culture and the Church? One reason is that we announce the truth. Period. The Left, Marxists, socialists — call 'em whatever you want — they're all of the same mindset.
They hate God and religion (Catholicism in particular) — and anyone who announces the truth they despise and must eliminate.
On the specific point of authentic Catholicism, which frequently overlaps with politics in the material world, the Marxists are, as phase one, launching a censorship campaign, the likes of which have never really even been imagined before in America. But it is in full-blown mode.
And it's not really, for them anyway, a question of theology. It's all about bowing down to the State, a State they have seized control of, which means, of course, bowing down to them. But censorship and demonization online and in social media chat is only the minor part of this.
Also in phase one is the enlisting of corporate America, as we have seen time and time again in various companies stepping in and deplatforming, canceling contracts, pulling away services — you name it.
So while all that is going on in the culture and Wall Street as well as Silicon Valley; D.C., under complete control of the communists, is now getting in on the action. Being marginalized by the culture and punished by businesses is only phase one.
Phase two is actually being declared illegal and accused of breaking the law — a law, of course, rammed through by the commies. (As an aside, if this all sounds eerily like Nazi Germany in the early to mid-1930s, your suspicions are correct.) There are two pieces of legislation winding their way through the U.S. Congress right now.
One is the so-called Equality Act, which essentially forces anyone who disagrees in conscience with the pro-sodomy, pro-child-slaughter, pro-gender-ideology agenda to submit — or find themselves outside the law. The second piece of legislation is the deliberately ambiguously worded "Domestic Terrorism Act," a favorite of Queen Nancy.
This piece of legislation would essentially establish an office or department that would investigate anyone designated a domestic terrorist, but the Devil is in the details. The question is who gets to decide who fits the definition. The second point is "what exactly is the definition?"
The social Marxists want anyone who simply disagrees with them declared a potential terrorist because they promote "hate" and, at any moment, could ignite an insurrection against freedom and democracy. As it stands right now, neither of these is law — yet. However, with the enormous pressure from their comrades, there appears to be little resistance to actually passing either.
The unelected Biden has already signaled his overwhelming support for each bill. So let's take stock here: Phase one is to cut you off from civilized society. Phase two is to get you declared some kind of terrorist and, therefore, prosecutable. In fact, at some point in the not-too-distant future, this Vortex episode could become a crime or a violation of some federal statute or some other made-up garbage.
In the phase-one analysis, this can't be aired on any giant tech platform because it's a truth bomb. But in the phase-two analysis, this could actually fit the definition of being illegal. Church Militant is committed to bringing you the absolute truth, in all its full glory as well as gore.
In this day and age — this social, cultural and political environment — it is truth that is being demonized because truth is Christ. Here at Church Militant, we have built the most robust platform in the Catholic world for communicating the truth to you. As the hatred of truth intensifies, we are more prepared than ever to keep telling you the truth. Church Militant is its own platform.
We have been on giant tech only as a matter of convenience, but now, the days of convenience are drawing to an end. And this is something we've been planning for, for quite some time. It's why we developed our Church Militant app (for you to download it onto your phone whether it's an iPhone or an Android).
We strongly suggest that it be the first thing you do after watching this Vortex. It's our way of getting you the truth — to directly compete against the Luciferian media pushing their minute-by-minute stream of lies from their father, the Father of Lies.
Download the app and get notices that pop up on your phone screen. We here, who are working in the media world, get dozens and dozens of these notifications every day from CNN, The Economist, Reuters, The Wall Street Journal, MSNBC, The New York Times, Washington Post and so forth. The staff here at Church Militant monitors the Luciferian media, as much as we hate it, so we can better report on the implementation of their agenda.
One thing the Marxist Left is really good about, because of their pride, is they always tell you what they're going to do. That does make our work slightly easier. But, in addition, to our Church Militant app, you should be coming to the site every day, gaining knowledge, understanding what's happening in the Church and the world.
There is no other Catholic media source in the world that gets it like we do — because it's not just a political battle, but a spiritual war, and that is the only perspective that matters. In fact, it's the only perspective from which all this evil can be understood. No matter how "conservative" politically or socially another site or source may be, if they aren't framing the war in Catholic terms, you won't be getting the whole story, which you need to have.
This is another reason we have brought our Church Militant Evening News online. It's one-stop shopping of everything you need to know that happened in the Church and the world on any given day.
So far, thousands of viewers catch our news every weeknight, which is blazing for only being hot for two weeks. What are we saying? Simple: Church Militant is your source for everything you need to know from a faithful, orthodox perspective. This is why they hate us so much — both the Left and the modernist bishops.
This wicked crowd has spent decades deconstructing truth and preparing the way for a one-world government and a phony one-world religion. If you don't have a firm grasp on all of this, the details, you're going to get sucked in on all this. As the Lord God said in the Old Testament, "My people perish for lack of knowledge."

There is an extremely important point about the spiritual war raging all about us right now, and it is this: It occurs in the material world. What happens on earth matters, or, as St. Thomas Aquinas puts it, matter matters.
The problem with so many people in this spiritual war is that they play it out as if it is only spiritual and just say, "Whatever happens, happens. I'll just pray." Catholics of such mind retreat into piety, fooling themselves that faith without corresponding works is a perfectly fine, holy approach.
Nothing could be less Catholic. That rationale is for cowards. But over in the Protestant world, a similar mentality occurs: It's called "quietism," and it's the notion that the material world doesn’t really matter — all you have to do is just pray and remain quiet.
In fact, this entire thought process actually began and flows out of a flawed understanding of Scripture and theology, going back centuries in Protestantism. Catholic sacramental theology embraces both matter and spirit; it does not reject one in favor of the other.
And because the seven sacraments have very tangible, material aspects to them, Protestantism, with its core anti-material mentality, rejects some or even all of them, dismissing God's saving actions through matter in time and space. Think about this: Loads of Protestants think the only thing you have to do to achieve salvation is simply make some spiritual act of faith and, from there on out, everything is cool.
You're saved regardless of your actions. Well, to drive home our point, those actions always occur in the material world, whether it's adultery, lying, robbing a bank, refusing to vote or rationalizing going and voting for a child killer, it's always expressed in the material reality.
We use our bodies, the same bodies that will be resurrected on the last day and reunited to our souls. Because of that resurrection of the material body, it is insufficient to think that somehow your soul can be pure even though it used your body to commit sins. And regardless of all that, you and your sinful body just get to waltz into Heaven because at some moment 40 years earlier, you blurted out at some random altar call "The Lord Jesus is my Savior," and then went about sinning with that body of yours in the material world, thinking all your sins are somehow "covered"?
Well, what about your adding to the blotting out of the goodness of the material world with your body? Doesn't that matter? What kind of a crazy, disordered theology is that?
Jesse Romero is our guest this week on Church Militant's Mic'd Up, where we get into a deep discussion about the consequences in the political and moral order of disregarding the material reality we live in.
It's a fascinating discussion about how all this plays out in our day-to-day lives, how just one little incorrect (and perhaps innocent) misunderstanding of theology can have a massive impact in the material order, which means politics, laws and how you are allowed to live your daily life.
So please join us and watch this week's Mic'd Up, and share it with your friends. It's a Church Militant Premium show, which means you have to have a Premium account, but that’s only $10 a month.
However, that same Premium account that allows you to view Mic'd Up also allows you to view thousands of other episodes of multiple Premium programs touching on a vast array of theological topics for your enrichment — which is especially helpful in this time of spiritual war.

A stolen election, an unelected leader, a cultural collapse, a declining population, a falling away from faith, a growing embrace of socialism (even if there is a small dip in its approval, this is America and that even 30% would accept it speaks volumes), and a rejection and smearing of patriotism as evil: These are the hallmarks of today's America, and there is not one sign of hope among any of it.
Every one of those speaks to a destruction of Christian — and specifically Catholic — values. How did this happen? How did Marxism makes such inroads in such a short amount of time into the culture and essentially destroy it?
Marxism is a system of government that, at its core, replaces God with the State. For all its lies about equal citizenship and everyone being the same, that's all baloney. Marxism merely shifts the ruling dynamic from a God-centered worldview to an elitist-centered worldview.
Someone has to be in charge. That's how humanity works. It's actually how the entire universe works. There are governing principles and governing institutions, all of which ensure order. The goal of Marxism is to shift all of that (not destroy it) into the hands of a powerful few.
The idea took solid political form with Marx and Engels in the mid-19th century, and here we are, a little more than a century later with their ideology having conquered and overthrown Western civilization.
So how did they do this so fast, so thoroughly, so completely? One simple word: sex. The Sexual Revolution was the weapon of the Marxist to overthrow Catholic culture. Sex became decoupled from procreation and reoriented to nothing but pleasure.
Once that premise was accepted, the culture's death warrant was already signed, sealed and, in our time right now, it's being delivered. The sexual revolution created a nation that rejects the moral law and embraces a do-your-own-thing mentality. That resulted in the breakdown of the family and shifted reliance onto the State.
Divorce and remarriage, fatherless homes; an explosion in unwed mothers; soaring poverty rates; the killing of 60 million+ through abortion; violent crime; pornography; a loss of masculinity; radical, nauseating feminism, you name it: Every societal metric pointing to a collapse could be checked off.
And now we are approaching the end of the road with a declining birthrate. Back in 1910, President Theodore Roosevelt gave a speech at the Sorbonne in Paris. He could have been an Old Testament prophet in his prediction:
Finally, even more important than ability to work, even more important than ability to fight at need, is it to remember that chief of blessings for any nation is that it shall leave its seed to inherit the land. It was the crown of blessings in biblical times and it is the crown of blessings now. The greatest of all curses is the curse of sterility, and the severest of all condemnations should be that visited upon willful sterility.
In short, he was alluding to contraception. When Roosevelt gave that speech, the forces of the birth control movement, under the banner of eugenics, were marshaling in the United States and Great Britain.
In fact, just 20 years later, the Anglicans would accept birth control as permissible and not sinful — the first time in 2,000 years any so-called follower of Christ would proclaim it acceptable. He continued:
The first essential in any civilization is that the man and woman shall be father and mother of healthy children, so that the race shall increase and not decrease. If the failure (to procreate) is due to the deliberate and willful fault, then it is not merely a misfortune; it is one of those crimes of ease and self-indulgence, of shrinking from pain and effort and risk, which, in the long run, nature punishes more heavily than any other.
Now, stop and think about this, Catholics. When is the last time you ever heard a bishop talk like that?
Theodore Roosevelt, imbued with Catholic "sense" (even though he himself was not Catholic), declared the truth of natural moral law, which the Church is committed by divine charter to uphold and declare. And, for Protestants, you have rejected your own spiritual patrimony — for it was by your rejection of divine law that the evil found a way to slither into the culture and set it on its course for final destruction. And that is from a fellow Protestant, not Church Militant.
The first command God gave to humanity was to procreate, and, with that command, He gave us a power even the angels do not possess — to cooperate with Him in the act of creation. The envious Satan hates that aspect of human nature, almost as much as he hates we can receive the body and blood of the Savior, which unites us spiritually and materially to the divine: again, a power the angels — superior in nature to us — do not possess.
Protestant pride and Catholic collapse in the face of the Marxist-inspired Sexual Revolution is how the nation fell apart. The Marxists understand that Christianity had to be destroyed to take over the culture. They got it — that this was always a battle of Christ vs. communism.
Unfortunately, too few Christians did. As a result, we are now faced with a vast spiritual defeat, not permanent for Christ always wins in the end; but, nonetheless, we have the specter now of a great martyrdom, partially as witness and partially as punishment.

We're going to do a follow-up in this Vortex to one we aired a couple of weeks ago about a prominent parish here in Detroit, the National Shrine of the Little Flower, and most specifically, its schools.
As a quick refresher, a big LGBTQIA+ issue broke out there when some parents complained about a long-term teacher having put up a poster of Harvey Milk in her classroom. Harvey Milk has become an icon in the homosexual community because he (along with Mayor George Moscone) was gunned down by Dan White while serving on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.
White did not assassinate Milk or Moscone over anything homosexual, despite the fact that a homosexual newspaper reporter for the San Francisco Chronicle, Randy Shilts, made a gay martyr out of Milk. Shilts later died of AIDS in 1994.
As Shilts noted in his biography of Milk, Milk had a penchant, shall we say, for taking homeless teenage males off the streets and into his bed. So why a poster of Milk is up in any Catholic school classroom is a source of wonder.
Yet there it is, adorning the wall of a classroom at Shrine Schools, which is what the parents reported to the administration, who then called in the teacher. The teacher said she felt "bullied" and another teacher backed her up. Both teachers resigned and a gay protest happened a couple of weeks later. All of this was completely placated by the pastor, Fr. Joe Horn, who made sure the teachers came back because "why can't we all just get along?"
And now you are updated on the background. Now, the follow-up.
Realizing that bowing down to the LGBT lobby did not sit well with many in his parish, Fr. Horn has issued a soppy statement that says pretty much nothing. The four paragraphs go pretty much like this:
It's a wonderful letter that doesn't really say anything directly and tries to dodge the elephant in the room. Father Horn is doing what so many poorly formed clergy are doing: attempting to square the impossible circle of pleasing God and the world at the same time. It can't be done. Those in the Church who do not believe, accept or conform to the Church's teachings aren't really in the Church. They have a history with the Church, but they don't belong to the Church because they reject the Church's teachings. It's kind of like Democrats aren't really Americans because they reject the Constitution. But I digress.
This is the giant problem in the Church today — this "big-tent Catholicism," where all are welcome regardless of what you believe or how you live. It's "Fr. Martin Catholicism," and even so-called good bishops don't come out and admit it (and govern accordingly).
Fr. Horn's desperate attempt to hold both ends together is futile. Something's got to give, and, in this case, it was the truth of the Faith. That is so abundantly obvious that teachers from around the archdiocese have contacted Church Militant asking, "Why do Fr. Horn's teachers get to get away with propounding their own beliefs but others don't?"
One of them even shared the teachers' contract with us that all teachers in the archdiocese of Detroit must sign to teach in the schools. The most relevant part is crystal clear: "Teacher agrees, in the performance of her/his duties under this agreement, not to engage in or to endorse publicly any actions or beliefs contrary to the teachings and standards of the Roman Catholic faith and morality, and conscientiously to provide a Catholic role model for all students."
This is not exactly how you square that statement with Fr. Horn's rehiring of teachers who support a poster being on their classroom wall celebrating a pederast whom the homosexual world celebrates as some kind of martyr. But that is the entire crux of this. Nothing else. And it's not exactly clear what Fr. Horn wants the archdiocese to do "in future cases." What future cases? There should never be any cases.
The archdiocese already has said what to do; that's what the teachers' contract is. If a teacher doesn't like or agree or support or live by the teachings of the Church, then they shouldn't be around young minds. Period. And certainly not on the Church's dime.
Again, Fr. Horn's placating letter to the parish noted the purpose of Catholic schools is "to form missionary disciples who joyfully share the message of the gospel and the teachings of Christ's Church." But that's precisely what did not happen. And now with teachers sympathetic to the homosexual propaganda machine reinstated to please the mob, it certainly won't happen.
A poster was put up in a classroom celebrating a homosexual pederast. Period. How precisely does that form joyful missionary disciples? If this has all been one huge misunderstanding, as Fr. Horn vaguely suggested to the protestors, then why not just clear it all up in a jiffy? Why let the teachers issue a statement not actually refuting anything but just talking about "love"?
Just answer the question: Do the teachers completely and totally accept the Church's teachings that homosexual acts are disordered and sinful? Yes or no? And why not say so if they do?
Father Horn has deftly avoided that point. The teachers have deftly avoided that point. It's the elephant in the room that no one is talking about. Why not have the teachers who resigned and whom Father pandered to in the face of homosexual protesters simply issue a very clear, very public statement affirming their 100% agreement with the Church's teachings?
The teacher who sent us the teachers' contract is ticked off — rightly so — and said this to us when they sent it:
I am disgusted and disturbed. Why are some people held to this standard but not others? Contracts should be uniformly enforced unless Horn thinks this is not a violation of paragraph four, in which case, he has bigger problems. And he signs every contract, so he can't claim ignorance ... so he can fear a lawsuit for disparate treatment, holding people to different standards, all the while doing what's convenient and not what's right, that is, upholding Christ's standards.
That's the kind of talk, correctly inspired, that means the archdiocesan attorneys are close to being called. The bottom line is that this is very simple. Have the teachers publicly announce their complete support of Church teaching or dismiss them according to the terms of the contract. Why is this so hard?
Again, the simple answer is because so many clergy and laity have come to view the Church's teachings as a kind of list of well-intentioned but incorrect guidelines — good perhaps for another day and age, but vastly in need of updating.
That's the only logical conclusion anyone could draw here from Fr. Horn's actions in support of the teachers. Either that or, as another concerned party told us, Fr. Horn should be given the nickname Colonel Sanders and should open a KFC because, in the face of the anti-Catholic Church–hate machine, there's a whole lot of chicken there.
Father Horn, do the right thing.

Church Militant (a 501(c)4 corporation) is responsible for the content of this commentary.
This is the day the world changed. It's best to simply own up to that and get down to the business of changing it back. Recall that, in 2016, the Marxist forces that thought Hillary had it all sealed up were thrown into chaos and despair at Trump's victory. All that they had so desperately labored for, put into place, worked like termites to destroy, was suddenly brought to an abrupt halt.
They spent about two or three weeks in mourning, wondering and lamenting what went wrong, how it went wrong. And they got back up off the mat and started getting organized. And boy, did they ever organize, setting out on a four-year witch hunt to destroy Trump, and when that didn't work, they stole an election.
Okay, so here we all are today, the beginning of a very dark winter, and then some. So now what? Well, to begin with, realize that we have lost about two months compared to the 2016 Marxist Democrats. We foolishly thought that simply having mountains of evidence proving the steal would be sufficient.
We'd get our day in court; word would spread like wildfire; the GOP would step forward and do the right thing; judges would do their job — all of it. And every single entity we put our trust in completely and utterly betrayed us — before, during and after the election.
We essentially wasted two months in a delusional hope (two months that the Democrats did not in 2016), waiting for this day to come and that somehow, someway, the illegitimately "elected" Biden would not take the oath. It was somewhat of a reasonable hope, one based on an expectation that people who had sworn to uphold the Constitution as well as the duties of their offices would, in fact, do so. They didn't.
So here we are, betrayed and angry — betrayed by both the hierarchy and public leaders. But amidst the betrayal and anger, there is one shining truth: We are the wiser and now comprehend the entire depth of the evil swamp — Church as well as State.
Even President Trump didn't grasp that, perhaps until it was too late. He absolutely understood the goal of the communist bastards in the Democratic Party was to make America socialist. He even made a point of it in his State of the Union speech. What he (and let's be truthful here, we) had not sufficiently understood was the massive penetration into the Republican party that various cowards and eventual traitors had made.
When the chips were down, they showed their true colors. Now, for faithful Catholics, this has been true for decades: The betrayal of us, not to mention Our Lord, by our bishops has been a daily reality for anyone willing to look at it (not to mention the betrayal by bishops of faithful priests as well).
To look at these two sets of betrayal as somehow unrelated would be willing blindness at this point. For decades, American bishops assisted the Marxists up the ladder of power (many of them being turncoat Catholics), and that applies to not just the politicos.
They let them claim to be Catholic, played footsie with them, pretending that immigration was just as important as chopping and slicing up a child in the womb. They gave them sacrilegious Holy Communion like candy and went along with virtually every single step of their agenda, all in a phony virtue-signaling attempt to pretend they care about the poor and advancing social justice.
Judas is the patron saint of social justice; never forget that. But they spent everlasting amounts of time covering up for each other's sexual proclivities, rape of altar boys and stealing from the faithful to pay outrageous legal bills to protect themselves from being imprisoned. And now they are declaring bankruptcy to freeze their assets and files from becoming discovered.
So if you are an American patriot and a faithful Catholic, you've been betrayed not once, but twice. We have a two-front war to fight. So we better get to fighting it. Any good fight requires a good battle plan, which means structure, discipline, communication and organization.
It means never taking your eye off the prize, with everything you do being a way to advance the ball down the field. Period. And a word here — Church Militant has no desire to be associated with people who don't grasp the imminent threat to your souls and liberty and who aren't willing to change their lives accordingly.
As we said before, the good guys have been way too passive. Signing petitions and thinking you've done something real is stupid and a waste of time. "Liking" a headline is, likewise, completely futile. While too many good guys were clicking and liking, the Marxists were out in the streets, knocking on doors, taking over the institutions of power, and anything else you can name.
They became so powerful that, we must admit, the war we are about to engage in may simply not be winnable, at least not in earthly, temporal ways. But that doesn't mean it must not be fought. In fact, that it is this desperate means precisely that it must be fought. It must be fought with our intellects and our gumption.
We must commit to it totally, just as the Marxists did for decades. They were relentless, and so must we be. Life as we understood it and lived it is now over. If there is any hope of any restoration, this must involve every bit of energy we can throw at it. Again, that's what they did.
Let's start with organization and communication, something you will notice the Marxists are racing to deny us the opportunity to do. Whatever you want to say about the ongoing purge, it's a good strategy on their part. So, as we said last week, stop acting like the world hasn't changed, like you can just do what you used to do.
While we were all comfortable and living "the American Dream," they were hard at work laying the groundwork to destroy America and the Church. In various ways, Church Militant has seen all this coming. We were actually afraid of it in 2016 but obviously were relieved when we were spared. The storm petered out.
But a more ferocious one gathered off the coast and reached landfall last November. So all of this means someone has got to step up, someone who has the understanding, the insight and the presence to speak to it. Church Militant videos have been viewed tens of millions of times and our footprint has grown substantially in the past three years. At first, we were mocked. They aren't mocking anymore.
No one has pursued the intersection of religion and politics like we have — no one. Some other (perhaps) well-intentioned Catholic groups were simply late to the game, some even trying to capitalize on the drama. Likewise, some well-intentioned conservative media outlets have simply failed to understand that behind all of this is a spiritual war, and if you don't have that understanding, you'll never do anything more than simply report the news.
Only Church Militant has understood the dual nature, the dual reality of what's going on, and that understanding has dictated our every move, whether it's been our election coverage during the campaign or our reporting on the globalist view of multiple churchmen.
It's one giant war, but it's being fought on two fronts, and unless you are experts in each, you're going to miss the big picture. So what we are saying is this: We are asking you to join Church Militant in the fight and help us be the tip of the spear in the restoration of both Church and State.
We want to be the source where you come for everything — Church and Nation. We lead the Rosary every morning along with morning prayer at 8 ET. You should be praying with us if at all possible. We churn out information every day in multiple programs, soon to be culminating in our weekday Church Militant Evening News, for which we have been preparing for months. That debuts on Monday, Feb. 8 at 6:30 p.m. ET.
We are moving away from the Marxist-dominated social media platforms and going onto whatever is available, but most importantly, we are asking you to get proactive and come to our website. Sign up to receive our emails. Join our Church Militant Resistance, which has thousands of members all over the country. Get active. Channel your justified anger.
Come to the site every day; tune into our programs. Fight for the truth with whomever will give you an ear. Organize rallies at your local chancery. Organize rallies and team with others to get these treasonous, backstabbing RINOs flushed from office. And prayer should be integral to all of those public scenes.
Primary any of them that did not do the right thing, which, frankly, is almost all of them. Likewise, CINOs — Catholics in name only, the Catholic equivalent of RINOs — need to be purged as well.
Now obviously, bishops can't be voted out of office, but they can be frustrated by faithful laity at every turn. Every bishop hates bad publicity because it touches their bottom line. They, for the most part, are the wimpiest men you will ever encounter. Again pray that the successors of the Apostles, at least some of them, will respond to the grace you are asking to be imparted.
For too long, they have caved to the pressure put on them by fake Catholics. Well, it's high time they start hearing loudly from faithful Catholics.
In truth, many of them should have resigned long ago, but they've profited from your ignorance. Enough is enough in both the culture and the Church. Too few leaders have stepped forward to fight all this. Support Church Militant, and help us take the lead: For God, Church and Country!
