In the unfolding revelations of censorship we see all around us, there is one area where Catholics specifically must pay very close attention: It's the subtle calls for censorship coming from within the Church from influential Catholics, especially clergy. A few days ago, pro-gay priest Fr. James Martin was the guest on a little-viewed podcast hosted by liberal America Magazine.
In the podcast, Martin warned about the dangers of listening to Church Militant. That sort of talk is a dog whistle for censorship, for bishops and others to begin cracking down on authentic Catholic voices. Martin's real problem is that groups like Church Militant involving ourselves in the larger political discourse base our productions on authentic Catholic teaching, something Martin is an expert at distorting.
But the Jesuit is completely dishonest in his characterization of groups like Church Militant repeating Catholic teaching. That is a lie. The Church does not teach that. Pope Francis amended the catechism to have it say that, but, in so doing, the pope overstepped his authority and jurisdiction.
The Church has universally taught that capital punishment is not intrinsically evil, meaning always gravely immoral. That has been held by the Church forever, and therefore, no pope can simply change Church teaching. So with either ignorance or malice, Martin is saying something flatly incorrect. And then doubling down accusing us and others of teaching incorrectly.
The dishonest Martin strongly suggests that lay Catholics such as Church Militant need to be somehow dealt with. Voices like that of Church Militant should be hunted down and silenced. All of this, of course, stems from Martin's distorted theology. Martin is the same man who insists Jesus didn't really know who he was all of the time and who is also on record saying the Bible is wrong on various points, including homosexual acts.
The current political climate affords Martin an opportunity to virtue signal and whine on about violence and anger in his soft, melodious, "reasonable" tones. But underneath that voice is a man who wants the Church to embrace much of the communist, Marxist agenda, especially with regard to sexuality.
So if he can help create a climate of censorship in the Church, capitalizing on the larger current cultural trend, then he's going to do it. Martin spouts off the same old seamless-garment garbage — that all moral issues have the same weight. They don't. See, the "non-judgmental" priest actually judges the motives of the people he wants silenced. In short, if you disagree with his take, based on a pure, loving union with the Church, then you must be other-motivated — using religion to advance a political cause.
In reality, it's exactly the other way around: Church Militant wants the country restored to an environment where authentic religion can flourish. For Martin, the authentic religion stands opposed to his embrace of immorality, so he wants politics used to crush the authentic faithful. This is only going to escalate in the Church, just as it is in the culture.
Voices of truth will be attacked, marginalized, demonized. It's what we say here at Church Militant. Come to the site directly. Do not passively wait to view our videos on some social media platform, but come to us. Give us your emails, and let us send you our productions (like this Vortex).
The time for letting phony clergymen distort the truth with the aid of Marxist-minded elites who want the Church destroyed has come to an end. The first step in this battle is to come to us and begin to build an effective network of opposition against all this. We've been too passive for so long. That's how a man like Martin got to where he is.
A final thought: It's funny that he would accuse bishops and priests of letting Church Militant and others get away with stuff unchecked. Once again, the truth is the exact opposite. Martin has gotten away with much evil because the bishops have let him.

No doubt about it — the communists are coming. And depending on how you do your calculations, they're already here. As a matter of review, it's important to remember that all we see playing out before us is the result of a massive betrayal of those we trusted to preserve and pass on a free society.
Renowned author and historian Trevor Louden recently spoke with Church Militant about this whole scene. Louden and others, including Church Militant, are continually stressing the need to recognize that what's happening is the result of decades of a communist takeover, moving slowly and stealthily at first, but now feeling free to be more open and plain in their goals.
And while we were all on guard and keenly aware of the threat posed by Russia, too many were willing to give China a pass and even hop in the political bed with them, tipping the scales of world dominance heavily toward Beijing. In fact, China's influence has grown so strong over the United States — even members of Congress — that Beijing controls much of what happens in the United States regarding laws.
What believers must recognize sooner rather than later is that communism is here, and it hates religion, most especially Christianity and, in particular, Catholicism. Remember, it was Theodore McCarrick, quietly trained by Soviets in his young years in Switzerland, who returned to New York and entered the seminary, climbing the ranks of power with payoffs — money (millions of dollars) given to him by the Soviets, according to our sources. As what amounts to little else than a communist spy in the Church, McCarrick was the single man anointed by Pope Francis who hammered out the Vatican-China accord, throwing the underground Church in China under the bus.
Simply stated, McCarrick was one of them — is one of them. And they hate the Church. There's a lot of evidence to support Louden's predictions. A large number of prominent Democrats (stretching back to Obama in 2008) are already on the record stating their disdain for religion, in general, and conservative, religious-minded people, specifically.
Whether it's Obama, Hillary, Harris or any others from the rogues' gallery, these are the leaders of the communist movement in America. To fully comprehend the current political scene, nothing can be viewed in isolation. All of it is interrelated.
The censoring by giant tech, the political rhetoric from the Democrats, the media controlling the narrative, accusing conservatives of being traitors, the theater of an impeachment to so smear Trump that his supporters are reviled, all of it — every last bit of it — is related. And there is one goal in mind — to keep any significant resistance from forming before the demonizing of conservatives can take serious hold.
So the race is on. Can conservatives, with all their various disagreements, form any kind of effective opposition to the storm about to break? Louden says that it all depends.
Of course, for Catholics, there is a higher calling than just preserving a nation. We are called to convert the nation. For Catholics, political conservatism is and always should be viewed as a mere means to the end of producing a more favorable environment in which effective evangelization can be conducted.
The reason the communist bastards always have the destruction of the Church so high on their list is that they recognize the power the Church holds. Since they don't believe in God, they never weigh the spiritual might, but they nevertheless do understand history and can do the math. The Church has been around much longer than they have, and it will be around after they've gone.
It won't be the first time an evil empire has had the upper hand and wielded a sword over our heads, and unless all this is the setup for the end of the world, it won't be the last. But still, this is the time in which we are living, not 2,000 years ago and not 500 years in the future. This is our time, and we must respond accordingly.

The media claims that the attack on the Capitol last week was an insurrection are patently stupid. No one was trying to overthrow the government and the media, of course, knows that. There was no coup, or even attempted coup. But spinning language like that is the stock and trade of Marxists, just read a little Saul Alinsky.
But if you notice the strategy of, first, the media elites finding the right vocabulary and then, once that's settled, pumping it out like sewage, you'll see how these phony dramas like the impeachment unfold. The word "insurrection" became the media go-to word and quickly circulated among the Marxist Democrats, proving once again that whatever the communist bastard Democrats accuse someone else of doing is exactly what they are actually doing.
Think Hillary, think Ukraine, think Russian collusion, and, now, add to it "insurrection." Man, they are good at what they do, at twisting the narrative. And it always results in a media lynching, which was the point to begin with. Take, for example, the case of Mark McCloskey and his wife Patricia of St. Louis, who unwillingly were blasted by the white-hot media spotlight for defending their home as BLM and Antifa rioters crashed through the gates of their neighborhood last summer.
Their standing on their front stoop, ready to defend their home from those violent rioters was a scene the media had to attack because, to any normal person, it makes perfect sense to defend yourself as a mob is drawing close to your house yelling things like, "We're going to burn it down and rape your wife and kill your dog."
Of course, the Marxist district attorney charged the McCloskeys with a crime. The mob? Meh, they were marching and rioting for a really good reason so that's okay. Earlier this week, we spoke with McCloskey and asked for his view of what's happening right now in America.
The country is run by a small handful of people who hold the microphone, and no one is allowed to challenge them. The Democrat and Republican parties are now subservient to the media. It's media-owned government.
In an extremely glaring example of, call it what you will, hypocrisy or the double-standard, McCloskey draws on his and his wife's own bad experience to highlight the perversity. And drawing the even larger point about the hypocrisy, McCloskey drew a comparison between the Washington, D.C. violence and the violence of the mob at his house this last summer.
As the dark winter of socialism begins to descend on America, even before Biden has illegitimately taken the oath of office, the Marxist language machine is already cranking up. Anyone who supports or supported Trump is "irredeemable," "treasonous" and "unpatriotic." The table is, indeed, being set.
It's one thing to have been labeled "deplorable" or accused of "clinging to your guns and Bibles," because those are just insults and slurs. But to be called treasonous is a whole new level because treason is a crime. One of those labels will eventually be settled on — the media is just exploring for the moment, running focus groups on which one sticks, like "insurrection" and "coup."
It's all part of the lynching process. To be damned by the media, you must first be accused by them of something. So they cast about, looking to see which accusation best resonates with low-information people and other Marxists. Once they land on it, they're off to the races.
One example of this was how refusing to wear a mask or even challenging it became "unpatriotic," according to Joe Biden, the man who wants to implement a nationwide mask mandate seconds after he's sworn in. If you don't comply, you are unpatriotic. McCloskey sees all this being set up months ago, as the Marxists got unbelievable traction out of the Wuhan virus. And now, how they will continue to milk it for everything they can!
Censorship, being bullied, forced to comply, silencing free speech, labeling dissenters from the established narrative as traitors, it's all part of the media lynching process — soon to shift into even higher gear (in a little over a week). After all, they got their man in the White House, without even winning the election.

This Vortex episode is deliberately not being released on YouTube because it's about getting away from the Marxist-minded giant tech outfits who have complete control over what truth to squash and which lies to promote.
Here's a little background on all this from our perspective here at Church Militant. Long ago, even before 2016, we were internally discussing that the day would arrive when this would all start to happen. We aren't prophets or weren't having visions or anything of the sort.
If you follow us, you know we have pretty keen insights into the state of affairs in the Church and the world because we keep our finger on the pulse and speak with lots of people behind the scenes, frequently. Plus, we have some pretty insightful people here on staff as well who "get it."
America was deteriorating long before the 2020 election was stolen, and affairs in the Church — the corruption of the hierarchy — was speeding that process along. So where we have arrived was going to be inevitable. And here we are. So before we get censored and dialed back and deplatformed, we are going to begin reducing our own footprint in the world of giant tech.
But — and here is the good news — in our expansion campaign last year that thousands and thousands of you contributed to (thank you again), preparation for all of this was baked into our plan. It wasn't just brick and mortar and increasing the space (which was sorely needed), but it also included a hefty chunk of change to plan for what we now see happening.
We weren't keen on making that part widely known, in case it triggered a response from giant tech before we were ready and the time was right. Well, we are ready and the time is right. Big Tech has already censored the president. Then they started limiting and deplatforming other conservative groups.
Then, as you know, the hosts for Parler just dropped them because of the mass migration of faithful Catholics and political conservatives to the site. This steamrolling of conservatives on the internet is not going to stop. It's going to increase. The underlying problem is pretty simple.
A handful of Marxist zillionaires developed all the technology, profited from government protection from being sued, constructed a monopoly, created all their own systems, collaborated on how to get all this hooked and connected and positioned themselves to exert near-total control over the masses after getting the masses to sign up.
Now, almost everyone Googles, Facebooks, tweets and so forth; in short, they have most of the country right where they want them. In even more direct summary, it's their sandbox, and they control it utterly. People who want the truth simply cannot play in that sandbox. It's built to lie, distort the truth and push a Marxist narrative.
As Fr. John Hardon used to say, and we have often repeated, "It's the Luciferian media." And that is not restricted to just the likes of CNN and The New York Times. It's the entire array of the massive media apparatus. The only thing they cannot ultimately control with ease is individual websites where all the content is controlled and published by the website owner.
That's what we are here at Church Militant. We have the most robust site in the entire Catholic world, bar none. Our partner companies, who we've worked with for years, are absolute cracks at their jobs and are faithful Catholics.
While many other Catholic outfits were, perhaps naively, relying on YouTube and so forth, we've been quietly establishing professional relationships with the best folks (professionally and in terms of Catholicism) in the business who are not going to stop doing business with us because we are orthodox Catholics speaking the truth.
In short, if any solid, Catholic, politically conservative group does not have a superb, robust, knock-'em-dead website with massive capability for video, streaming, publishing, emails, push notifications, payment processing and so forth, they aren't going to survive. Giant tech will see to that.
Church Militant not only has all that, but it has it in spades. That's what we've built here with your help, our insight and God's grace. So here's what we are asking you to do. Subscribe to Church Militant now. Sign up for our email list to get access to authentic Catholic content that isn't going to be taken down and suddenly disappear because some Marxist jerk doesn't like it.
This crowd just deplatformed the president of the United States. Do you seriously think for one minute that after Beijing Joe is sworn in, they aren't going to go on a rampage across social media? They took down an entire social media application in Parler. Loads of familiar voices are now off YouTube.
We are telling you, as my mom used to say, "as plain as eggs are eggs," you need to get out of that sandbox before you are thrown out, and get over to Church Militant's actual website. Stop watching us on third-party sites run by Marxists who hate the Church, the truth and America.
Is it more convenient to just sit back and let YouTube's playlist run for you? Well, of course it is: That's how they built it. But no one is asking that you push a boulder up a mountain. Just make a couple more clicks on the site and be more proactive and less passive in dealing with information.
Another major point to consider is our expertise in delivering video content in addition to articles. In the information world, video is king. We've said that since our very first day back in 2006. It has to be video because that's how the vast majority of people consume their information.
That's why YouTube, a video platform, reached the crushing heights it has. Video is what Church Militant is all about and has always been about. And frankly, no one in the Catholic world does it like we do, not even close. That's not to slam anyone else, it's just to say that this is our expertise because of not only my professional background for decades in commercial broadcast and news (winning multiple Emmys) but also the intense coaching up the staff here receives each day, turning them into television people as well.
Church Militant should be your first stop every day and at various times throughout the day. Bookmark it as a favorite, and make it your home page. Sign up for the emails and get the information straight from us, directly (not by dancing around in the Marxist sandbox).
Life has changed. The world has changed. The country has changed. And we stand ready here at Church Militant to help you survive that change and, in fact, prosper in it. From news coverage to the most faithful, authentic Catholic programming, by the thousands of hours for premium members, no one has what we have.
And here's a closing thought: Wouldn't you want to support an outfit and join an apostolate like this that had this kind of foresight to plan ahead (as we have), so that when the inevitable storm came, you'd have a place to go for truth and safety?
Make Church Militant part of your life now. Come to us frequently, and read our emails with important information. Life has changed. And so must we all.

We've said it a few times here at Church Militant, and it keeps bearing out: Life happens where religion and politics intersect. Kind of funny, right? Remember the two things you are never supposed to talk about? Those are the two major driving forces of life — Church and State.
For many on the politically conservative side of the spectrum, they come to understand this truth: Separating God from the law is a recipe for disaster and the end of a civilization.
One of those people is Ali Alexander, the force behind the "Stop the Steal" effort, which spread like wildfire all over the country in the wake of the 2020 election. So much was Alexander influenced by the link between politics and religion that he's decided to convert to the Catholic faith.
Alexander was in the Church Militant studios recently and shared his thoughts on faith and politics as we talked in our chapel. Many faithful Catholics who also consider themselves to be patriots at the same time have been discouraged with the outcome of the vote, considering the election to be stolen.
Ali's been in the political war for 14 years, cutting his teeth early in his young life. But now, in his mid-30s, he says he's fully prepared for battle. The real impetus behind the Stop the Steal effort was not from 2020, but the 2018 midterms in Florida, where the cheating going on in Broward County became a major flashpoint.
His conversion to Catholicism could be a harbinger of many more coming to the Church (fresh from battle, blood on their swords and willing to die for the truth). Ali recognizes the need for total commitment to the cause, with no exceptions, and a willingness to pay whatever the price for Holy Mother Church and Our Blessed Lord — regardless of the particular battle.
At one point during the interview, Ali mentioned that it was the apparition and message of Our Lady of Fatima that kind of sealed the deal for him to come to the Church. I shared with him that was the exact same story regarding my own father, Russ Voris, who, as a member of the Nazarene Church, had first become acquainted with the Fatima apparitions a couple years after marrying my mother.
He too was brought to the Church, to Christ embodied, by Our Lord's Blessed Mother. Spiritual war is nothing if not a bloody, messy affair. The intensity level can sometimes be off the charts. For some, the constant barrage is terrifying. But for any who turn to the Catholic Church for solace as well as strength, it is given.
The entire reason the Church exists is to quicken souls, to enliven their intellects, to fortify their wills, flood them with grace and make them warriors against the demon so as to save their souls and the souls of as many others as they are able to bring along.
The raging political war, which is really a spiritual war, has one aim — the destruction of the Catholic Church, the only means of salvation that exists. Our true opponent is not Biden or Pelosi; it is not the entire communist front. It is Satan operating through them.
True, they must be fought tooth and nail in the arena of politics and culture, but never without an understanding that the real enemy is the demonic force behind them, and because that is the case, only the Catholic Church — instituted by God Himself — with the power of the sacraments can defeat the Dragon.
No political party or organization can lay a finger on the demon. Only the foot of the Woman of Genesis and Revelation can crush his head, because that is how the Divine Will ordained it, a truth that both Ali and my father came to know and embrace. "I will put hatred between you and the Woman, and she will crush your head."
Offer prayers of thanksgiving and support for Ali as he comes home to the fullness of the Faith. And if you'd like to see the interview in its entirety, just click on the provided link.

If you take the "official" total numbers of votes cast on election night, which we can't really rely on (at least their distribution), we have roughly 155 million votes cast. How many of those were Catholics who voted for Trump? Well, the math is pretty simple.
Twenty-three percent of the vote was cast by Catholics. That's 35.5 million. Fifty percent of Catholics voted for Trump, so that's almost 18 million —18 million Catholics who could be counted, at least in general terms, as patriotic and at least somewhat-believing Catholics.
Venerable Abp. Fulton Sheen, one of our heroes here at Church Militant, was precisely this sort of man: A solidly faithful Catholic and a patriotic American. No grass grew under his feet. He understood the dangers to humanity posed by communism. He railed against the communists frequently.
That was in the 1950s into the 1960s. Given the constant threat of nuclear war and the Red Scare, he had an audience willing to give him an ear. And listen they did. Of course, that was before the communists had taken over all the institutions of the culture. True, they were busy actually doing it then, but they still hadn't accomplished the goal as they have now.
Back then, Sheen was viewed as a patriot. Today he would be a traitor. He'd be a "racist" or "homophobe" or simply be assigned the overall generic condemnation of a "hater." But in political terms, he'd be viewed as a traitor — not to America, but to the new America. And the new America is being ushered in.
Just look at the cover of the latest edition of Vogue Magazine, with Harris on the front. Look at that sub-headline: "And the New America." We are all being conditioned to simply accept the new reality. Old America is gone. New America can finally drop the disguises and make itself known. And, if you oppose it, if you cling to the old, patriotic, racist, hating America; you are a traitor.
There is a very important point to recall with all of this — this designation of being "treasonous" or being a "traitor." Treason is what Our Blessed Lord was executed for by the State. It was not blasphemy, the original charge brought to Pilate by the Jewish religious leaders. Pilate couldn't have cared less about Jewish religious laws. That's why he dished Our Lord off to Herod for a trial.
When Herod, also unwilling to involve himself in anything of a religious squabble, returned him to Pilate, the Pharisees suddenly changed their entire strategy. No longer was it the case that this man had broken their law. It was that He set Himself up as a king, and the only kingship they recognized was that of Caesar: "We have no king but Caesar."
That is ultimately why Pilate ordered that Jesus be executed, not blasphemy. And since that made Him a criminal in the eyes of the empire, He was given the empire's punishment for treason. This has been the record of nearly all persecutions in the Church: Followers of Christ sooner or later run into loggerheads with the State, as the State degrades and adopts immorality as the official, legal, status quo.
It's happening right now in China as it happened in England during the reign of Henry and Elizabeth, as it happened all over Europe during the Protestant revolt once they had attained control of the State. As a hopeful note in all this, this is the precise reason Our Lord returns as Judge on the Last Day. A judge metes out justice. And that means giving to each man according to his due.
The last day Our Lord was physically seen on earth, he was regarded as a traitor, a threat to the established order. He was unjustly accused, tried and executed. The first case of justice being administered will be his own case. The world last saw Him as a criminal. The record will be set straight, and then every case of injustice will be set straight.
The convicted, executed criminal will return to be the judge (as it should be, obviously). The greatest injustice ever perpetrated on earth will be the first to be corrected. All others will then follow. And that means all. None of us knows what lies ahead, how events will unfold. We do know that, whatever may come, good or bad or something in between, our ultimate loyalties lie with Our Blessed Lord and His Holy Catholic Church.
Remember that when standing in front of Pilate, Our Lord said to him, "I came into the world to bear witness to the truth. Whoever hears the truth, hears My voice." That statement is what resulted in Pilate handing Jesus over to be crucified. It was his inner sense, his intuition that something that was a massive challenge to the established order of the empire was standing in front of him.
He didn't need to completely comprehend everything — no human does. It was enough that he grasped, sufficiently that he made a choice. Our Lord was not executed because He was the Messiah and ticked off the religious leaders. He was executed because truth is the antithesis to tyranny, even at the cost of blood.
Since Our Blessed Lord is truth, truth is ultimately victorious. Witnessing to truth is witnessing to Our Lord. We in the West have never really faced any of this or even had to seriously consider this in anyone's living memory (unless, of course, you are an immigrant to the United States from the Soviet Union).
So the specter of all this is greatly disturbing. Even the potential is soul-disturbing. But Our Lord never lets those He loves endure anything without the necessary graces to withstand it. On that, we have His promise, and since He is truth, that should counter all the anxiety and soul disturbance we may encounter as events roll along.
Many people, Catholics and patriots (and, most especially, people in both camps), are feeling alone or abandoned, perhaps even orphaned. Not a few have written to us and said, in sum, "How, after all these Rosaries and novenas and everything, could Our Lord have let this happen?" This is more than understandable, at least humanly speaking, but remember, God is never outdone in generosity.
If we could suggest one possibility here: For years, an increasing number of Catholics have grown disgusted at affairs in the Church, especially at the hierarchy, composed of the complicit or cowards or corrupt men. We have prayed, protested, held rallies, written letters, withheld contributions and have done anything and everything else we can imagine to try and make our voices heard that a return to holiness on the part of the hierarchy is required.
Likewise, on the political scene, how many men of goodwill have stood in front of the child-killing centers, sounded the alarm about the moral decadence the nation has fallen into, the corruption of the minds of the young and so forth. Married to all this earthly action has been a persistent torrent of prayers to Heaven to, in short, "make things right."
Perhaps the only way left for God to "make things right" while leaving intact the free will of wicked men is to allow it all to collapse under the weight of its own evil. Pope St. John Paul once wrote that evil eventually consumes itself. That is true. There are even hints and signs of that within the Marxist Left as we speak, as factions race against each other to embrace even more evil and tyranny.
Of course, as things collapse, innocent people will be swept up in it. In fact, in many ways, they may be among the first to feel the impact of it all. It all feels "unjust." And that's because it is. But injustice and lies do not have the last say. Returning to Bp. Sheen, a devout Catholic and headstrong anti-communist patriot, he said, "Satan has his hour. But God has His day."
All the prayers, Rosaries, novenas and so forth offered by the millions — perhaps tens of millions — will be used by Our Lord in a manner we may not have first thought. Not a sparrow falls from the sky without our Heavenly Father's consent. He will provide. We don't know right now what the circumstances will be, how they will occur, what the need will be.
But we do know that the God-Man who tenderly spoke these words to His Apostles a short while before His passion began, means them to be taken to heart until the end of time, "I will not leave you orphans. I will come back to you."

Before we begin, today is the third anniversary of my father's death. Russ Voris was a driving force behind maintaining this apostolate in its early days and years, not to mention, of course, a loving dad who was a beacon of the Faith and mentor to quite a few.
Please offer a prayer for his eternal rest, and thank you in advance.
Speaking of my father, in one way, as much as I sorely miss him, I am glad he is not seeing what's happening to this country. He was an Air Force veteran as well as a patriotic man, and the current state of affairs would be ripping his heart out. As we hear constant jabber about the so-called Great Reset, make no mistake about what's really at play here — what's really going on.
It's a cover for destroying all opposition to the Marxist agenda, pushed by elite globalists, under the guise of unifying humanity as we march forward arm in arm to broad sunlit uplands. That's always the front, but it's never the reality.
America is a divided nation, and, if we are totally honest here, it hasn't been one nation in many years. It's not just political differences; it's far deeper than that. Politics is always downstream from culture. People are elected and laws passed after a majority of a culture has already decided on a certain philosophy.
Even in the event of a stolen election, people were in place to engineer a steal because too many people accepted or were too bored to notice all the other evil they supported. America is not one country. Period. And this constant appeal by Marxists to "the people's will" and "the American people" is a complete charade.
There is no longer such a thing as the American people, not the way they mean it anyway. There are American patriots, and there are American Marxists — and the Great Reset is meant to be a way for the American Marxists to wipe out the American patriots.
As much as the Marxists have tried to paint this divide, this polarization, as fringe groups or extremists or racists or white supremacists versus "the American People," the reality is this: The great divide that the Great Reset is claiming to address is really a divide over God.
You'll get used to hearing us saying, moving forward, that life is lived where politics and religion collide. As that's true once again, or better said, here is yet another example. It's not about race, income levels, sex, zip code, geography or any other issue. It's about God and whether you live your life with or without Him. That, in sum, is the great divide in America.
And the Marxists can't really come right out and say that — at least not yet, anyway. For the moment, they need to paint true believers (orthodox believers) as, not looney, but haters who seek to divide "America" with their crazy theology. But, of course, this only applies to faithful followers of Christ. It will never be applied to Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism or any other religion (or non-religion for that fact).
Any belief is acceptable (just like in the Roman Empire) as long as it admits that the State has final say and is not challenged in its prevailing dogma. The Great Reset is, indeed, a reset — re-setting back to a pagan culture wherein the real God is denied and His true religion outlawed.

So political events have now come to an end and finished in the way none of us wanted to see. Okay, we have to deal with that reality. As faithful Catholics and patriotic Americans, the last two years have been quite the eye-openers, and it is on that point that we'd like to offer some words of encouragement.
Everything that has gone wrong in the culture the last 60-plus years can be laid at the feet of the U.S. hierarchy. That sad fact has to be stared directly in the face. Church Militant has been trumpeting this clarion call for years. But, here in the U.S., the collapse of the hierarchy took on a special dynamic unique to the United States.
America was born in the context of a strange mix of so-called Enlightenment principles of fraternity, liberty and equality, paired with freedom of speech and freedom of religion.
That all sounds good and everything, but just like a Vatican II document or virtually any utterance from the Francis Vatican, it all depends on how you interpret it. The deadly ingredient in all that was established at the beginning of the nation was the ambiguity of it.
Fraternity, liberty and equality each had a very solid Catholic interpretation prior to the age of so-called philosophers (which led to the Enlightenment and eventual French Revolution). Each of those values must find its basis in God.
Humans have fraternal bonds only because we are each creatures of God, made in His image and likeness. Without that grounding, we are no more "fraternal" than a pack of wolves or a herd of sheep — being related in no other way than mere biology.
Likewise, liberty is a quality humanity enjoys because of a free will God has given us, which translates into the freedom to choose Him and His will, not whatever we want. While we do have the ability to choose evil, we are not "free" to choose it, and, when we do, we lose our freedom to act toward the good. Just ask an addict of any sort.
And with regard to equality, again, Catholic teaching asserts the truth that all men are equal with respect to our God-given dignity, which cannot be trampled upon because of our race, ethnicity, sex and so forth. Pairing those properly understood interpretations with freedom of speech and freedom of religion is a good thing and would produce a healthy nation and culture.
People should be free to speak truth, and they should be free to discover the truthful religion (this freedom should be promoted by a government committed to the proper understanding of fraternity, liberty and equality). But without the Catholic lens, the interpretations of fraternity, liberty and equality can easily go astray, as we see playing out in front of us.
All you would need is the removal of the Catholic lens and its replacement with a humanist lens and, voila, you get communism. Sooner or later, that's where you arrive. Divorced from God, which ultimately results in a divorce from objective morality, these Catholic principles become distorted beyond all recognition.
The first one to become deformed is liberty, which gets mangled to produce virtually unfettered freedom to do whatever someone wants. And paired with freedom of speech, it becomes a vehicle to promote lies. Every single institution on the Left, which has been taken over by the Marxists, has seen wild success in this area.
From universities to the media, this has resulted in a culture of lies dominating people's daily lives. The concept of equality has been so distorted without its mooring to Catholic truth that, now, actions (not people) are all treated as equal and acceptable, regardless of their morality or immorality.
A woman, who is equal to a man, is able to use her "free speech" (which is promoted in the media) to claim, "I can kill my child" and even stand up in front of a celebrity crowd and announce how much her career has been enhanced by the butchering of her own child.
All of it is wrapped up in the concept of "equality." That a woman is equal to a man is controlling "her own" body. Likewise, the distortion of equality has been a powerful philosophical weapon in the Marxist arsenal. It becomes the excuse for rewarding failure and punishing success: People are equal and, therefore, the outcome must be equal, regardless of a person's talent, drive, work ethic, vision or agenda.
All of this — every last bit of it — has been put into service by the Marxists for their agenda. That didn't happen overnight. In fact, it unfolded over a century, pushing little by little, never taking their eye off the goal, until they reached the tipping point where they could get away with actually stealing an election.
But none of that would have been possible over the past century, especially the last half of the century, had the U.S. Catholic hierarchy not been so concerned with getting along, with having the praise of men, with having a seat at the table. As the secular humanist influence kept growing incrementally, the bishops remained quiet.
They taught their seminarians to stay quiet once ordained. They kept outspoken men out of the seminary, for the most part. They promoted like-minded men from within their own ranks, who, just like them, lacked the necessary prudence and faith to either see the coming carnage or the strength to stand against it to try and prevent it.
In short, they sacrificed the Church on the altar of a perverted understanding of fraternity, liberty and equality. They traded the Faith away for a seat at the table so they could revel in their own self-importance, and, when it comes to something as immoral as the communist subversion of the nation, they say nothing.
So where does that leave us? Where are orthodox Catholics and committed patriots supposed to now go? Well, here's the silver lining: The revelations of the last two years — from McCarrick in the Church (and all the attendant evil) to the same depth of evil in the State — can become a great wake up call.
The Church (humanly speaking) and the State have become near totally corrupted and are now instruments in the hands of wicked men. That reality must be grasped, embraced and understood in all its blinding clarity. Yes. It sucks. It's awful. All of that is true. All that has transpired is like dealing with a death.
The death of a loved one cannot immobilize us and cause us to stop living, or more importantly, to live without a purpose. Without that loved one around anymore, life changes. It will never be the same. True. But "change" does not mean "end."
So, now, patriots and Catholics look at reality square in the face and take stock of what has happened. And what has happened is the unrelenting drive and commitment of the Marxists that, frankly, we have not matched — at least consistently. They never compromise. But too many of the right side have compromised. Compromise is billed as a virtue.
There is nothing virtuous about not being pure in your vision and execution. Radicals are the ones who ultimately win. And when it comes to religion, it must be lived radically and preached radically, with no compromise. The Marxists have instilled in the minds of civilization that being "moderate" is okay, acceptable, even praiseworthy.
But the joke is on us. They don't even believe that. They promote that to put you to sleep. When is the last time Planned Parenthood took a "moderate" stance on abortion? What even is a moderate stance on abortion — reducing the killing by 50%? The Marxists never compromise. Their goal is total victory, and that's what they aim for every single time. And because they aim for it, precisely because they aim for it, they achieve it.
What exactly is "moderate" communism? What would the compromise between good and evil look like exactly? What the evil outcome has provided to all of us is the opportunity to get back to basics, to reexamine where things went wrong and start fixing things. Now, this is all going to have to be done in a hostile environment, no doubt. When the communists were working quietly like termites, they didn't face a lot of opposition as they went about their destructive work.
That will not be the case for us. We all will face headwinds — often stiff — straight out of the box. But that can't stop us or discourage us. Ultimately, we fight for souls, and we witness to the truth. That is what and who we are. This evil environment now gives us a chance to define ourselves again, to touch base.
Here at Church Militant, our core vehicle for advancing truth is video. Knowledge is king, and, in the 21st century, video is the vehicle for knowledge. Beginning next month, Church Militant will be airing our daily evening newscast — Church Militant Evening News (which we will be unveiling in early February).
We've beefed up staff (thanks to your generosity) as well as production capability and skill level. Our political coverage of the past year as well as our long track record of covering affairs of the Faith have placed us in an extremely unique position to speak to both patriots as well as faithful Catholics.
Frankly, no Catholic apostolate is in a better position to deliver what we deliver than Church Militant, and we are privileged and blessed to be able to be here. When the Roman Empire in the West fell apart 1600 years ago, a large portion of the empire was Catholic, and, of course, loyal to the empire.
To them, it seemed like the end of the world, and, in some ways, for them, it was. The collapse was the impetus for St. Augustine's writing The City of God, wherein he reassured his fellow imperial citizens that whatever happens on earth, we must never forget that we do not, in the end, belong to the city of man, but the city of God.
That vision, born from the fall of the empire, went on to become the seedbed for Western civilization, brought into existence on the rubble of the empire by the Catholic Church. This is where we are now. An empire has collapsed. Mourn it. Lament over it. Accept its passing, and grieve.
But realize the tremendous opportunity we now have to erect a civilization of truth and justice built on a Catholic understanding of fraternity, liberty and equality.
About 75–80 million people were at least dimly aware of all this on Nov. 3, and they voted accordingly. This moment is a tremendous opportunity to build anew (in the face of ferocious opposition, yes). But so what? The Church baptized the barbarian hordes after much suffering. What we knew has passed. What we now embrace is what matters.

In the post-mortem (and we do mean post-mortem), not only of the election in the immediate aftermath, but of the nation, people have to face facts coldly in the face.
And if you will allow a personal anecdote here: I was on vigil duty at the house of a 10-year-old girl (here in metro Detroit) who was kidnapped and eventually found dead in a dumpster not far from her home about six weeks later.
For her memory and prayers for her soul, her name was Deanna Seifert, and she lived in the suburb of Warren — kidnapped in the dead of the night on Mother's Day while at a sleepover with her other little friends. During our coverage, we would keep vigil in the street every day, talking to neighbors and filing our reports.
One day, I was talking with a police officer in front of the house, and I said to him how hard it is to think that this kind of horrible thing could happen. His reply has never left me.
He said:
Since you don't think like a serial killer or a child killer, you don't understand it. Ninety-nine percent of people, for example, drive past a playground and see kids on swings and playing in sandboxes and all that and smile and think that's nice. Look at them having fun playing. But there is one guy driving past that playground thinking how he will steal one of those kids, chop him into pieces and scatter his parts all over the county. In order to counter that, someone has to think like him. That's our job [meaning the police].
I was thunderstruck at that thought, and like I said, never forgot it; it was seared into my mind. Now, fast-forward to the election and the state of the country. The comparison is more than fitting. Most people, at their core, do not think like traitors to the country. They don't hate God, country, tradition and so forth.
But, like the child killer driving past the playground, some do. And today, the killers have seized power precisely and explicitly because the overwhelming majority of people not only do not think like that, they can't get their brain around the fact that others do, and so they continue to ascribe other motives to their wicked deeds.
The conservative faction in the nation and the orthodox faction in the Church have let the killers seize power because they have been way too gentle in their approach. You could probably describe them as naive and/or apathetic. They never responded to the incremental danger because they never recognized it for what it was: The ultimate overthrow of America.
"Oh, no one would want to do such a thing!" they would think to themselves and excuse the latest move toward Marxism. The latest move in a long series of moves — total aggression — somewhat disguised and wrapped up in class warfare terms and pretending human dignity and equality was always the goal.
Human dignity and authentic equality are not only not the goal, they are the antithesis of Marxist communism. Communists detest human dignity that comes from God because the demands placed on them by a divine being to live a moral life are anathema to them. Too many people have been fooled. And too many others have been too scared to actually look into the darkness and come to grips with what's really there.
Most people — the vast majority — simply go along with all this for one of those two reasons (fear or denial) both the enemies of truth. As a quick snapshot of that, consider that exit polls showed that three-quarters of Georgians believed their state elections were largely handled fairly.
So consider, in the face of video evidence, hundreds of sworn affidavits by eyewitnesses, data analysis, rigged voting machines and everything else (proof of the steal), three out of every four believe it was all okay. Now, to be certain, one out of every four voters believing it was rigged and stolen is nothing to shake a stick at — but at the end of the day, what do you do with that?
Seventy million people believe they have been robbed. They have. And now, given Tuesday's and yesterday's events, they have been completely robbed. The Marxists realized, from their origins in Stalinist-style politics, that they needed to play the subtle long game and that it would work because the vast majority of people would never be able to conceive of the depth of their evil plans.
They were right. Most people are way too gentle to realize (or accept) the horror that is unfolding before them. Consider that, in the spiritual war, it's exactly the same. The idea of the Devil — a living, personal being seeking to destroy them in Hell — is either too much to deal with or regarded as simply too "out there."
But it is the reality, the truth. It's such a reality that God Himself "had to" become incarnate to break Satan's death grip on humanity. And if you need further evidence of the direct connection between the natural and the supernatural, politics and religion, then look no further.
People do not recognize the evil and lies of the Marxists because they do not recognize the Father of Lies. Too many people refuse to look at that — they haven't been properly instructed and formed in the Faith to look at the reality playing out in the natural order square in the face. It is the exact same situation in the body politic: Anesthetized by video games, movies, bread and circuses, they were lulled into a blind comfort by the Marxists, until the Marxists had them exactly where they wanted them.
Back in 2016, as the Marxist opposition formed against patriotism (personified in the Trump presidency), the Washington Post became something of a laughingstock when it unveiled its new slogan. That slogan was "democracy dies in darkness."
It turns out the Marxists at the Washington Post and everywhere else are having a good laugh of their own. Democracy does indeed die in darkness. And so do souls. So enough with misunderstood and misapplied "gentleness." It's time to become "woke" in the real sense and stand against that darkness, no matter the cost. And it is going to cost.

Well, the day has, at last, arrived: The final showdown between patriotism and communism, right here in America. Did you hear what we just said? The final battle between patriotism and communism — on American soil. And it came to this point without the communist bastards having to fire a single shot.
The communist, Democrat Marxists cheated their way to this point. Of that, there is no doubt. The claim that there is "no evidence" is beyond farcical. There's so much evidence, it's hard to process all of it. It's like a murder scene where there's video of the killing, six eyewitnesses, DNA all over the place, the victim's blood all over the killer, a handwritten note by the killer to the victim saying he was going kill him at such and such a time and a social media video released by the killer saying what he plans to do.
The GOP establishment — in Congress as well as multiple state legislatures — simply will not act on the evidence that has been presented to them by the truckload. Likewise, numerous judges (and that includes U.S. Supreme Court justices) simply refuse to listen to the evidence. They find technicality after technicality to not actually listen to the merits of the case but hide behind legal nuances to avoid having to give a ruling on the evidence.
This is such a dereliction of duty that it's hard to get your brain around it. It reaches a point of such discouragement over being abandoned by the guardians of justice that the good guys just throw in the towel (as we saw happen to a degree in the Georgia Senate runoff races yesterday).
Good people, patriots, rightly wonder why they should support calls from an establishment to support them, when, after having secured power, the same "leaders" refused to exercise it on behalf of those patriots. Short of taking up arms and having another revolution, the normal, average patriot is completely dependent on the government to protect him on the grand scale, to preserve the country.
If the government refuses to do that, then it's lights out. Where do you go? Citizens in a republic hand over a measure of their power to authorities — police, courts, military — to do the work for them that they cannot do for themselves without chaos ensuing. A social contract of trust is entered into. We give up some of our freedoms with a promise that leaders will protect us, protect us from criminals, from tyranny, from foreign powers.
And we pay taxes for all this, for government protection of our God-given rights to life and liberty. But both parties must be all in, and, frankly, one side is not. The Democrats in government are lying, cheating killers and have proven themselves to be such time and time again.
No one can be surprised that they have done what they have done: It's their nature to cheat. But the firewall against that has completely succumbed. The Republican leadership, almost to a man, has completely folded. And their motive has been personal gain.
To appease the rabble, they are talking about hearings and investigations after Biden would be sworn in. Seriously? What good does that do? First of all, it won't even happen. Once the swearing-in is over, the communist bastards and their media allies will gleefully declare, "It's all over, time to move on."
But even if they did happen, all the hearings, what good would they accomplish? Establishing a bunch of rules? There are rules in place right now that the communists simply ignored, and the Mitch McConnells of the world let them get away with it.
If all of this goes the way it sure looks like it's going to go, then patriots will have to face the new reality, that the America experiment finally failed — it failed like all civilizations ultimately fail, because of human nature, fallen human nature. Greedy, self-interested leaders betrayed those who entrusted their freedom to them.
What would follow in the wake of all this is somewhat murky (as far as the response on the part of patriots). There's nothing murky at all about what the communists want to do — they've already said it hundreds of times. There's no mystery there.
But the question is, "How will that anti-human, anti-freedom, immoral, godless agenda be responded to?" One thing seems certain at this point: Looking ahead to the next elections in 2022 or 2024 is like fool's gold. The communists already stole the election they needed to. What on earth would make anyone think that the next one would not be equally rigged?
You only vote for socialism once. After that, you have to shoot your way out. And in this case, we didn't even vote for it, directly. We simply trusted a bunch of sniveling, sneaky R.I.N.O.s because they talked a good game, but when the chips were down, they abandoned us. So America itself is no longer at a crossroads, but patriotic Americans (who have a huge number of faithful Catholics in their ranks) are.
Faithful Catholics, unfortunately, already have a decades-long history of cowardice and betrayal in the face of Marxist aggression by their leaders. We've seen this show before.
