Today's Vortex is Church Militant's latest Special Report — Cardinal Sins: Wuerl's Tainted Legacy. The Special Report is a never-before-seen look at the clerical career of Cdl. Donald Wuerl and the abuse, suffering and even deaths connected to his decades of deceit.
TRANSCRIPT
We're barely into it, but 2022 is already turning out to be a big year for Church Militant.
In the current climate of what can best be described as "clown world," with its ever-increasing upside-down madness, we are attracting more and more eyes looking for some explanation for all the insanity. The result is that people are paying attention at an ever-increasing rate, which gives us the wonderful opportunity to reach viewers we might not have before with the message of Catholic truth.
For example, on the political front, theologically conservative patriots are finding us more and more frequently and enlisting this apostolate in their effort to restore some moral order to the culture. We spotlight these partnerships in our nightly Evening News, where we cover multiple stories from around the world each day and provide Catholic analysis — a kind of examination of the spiritual war playing out in the material order.
Precisely because of the insanity of the day, we expanded Church Militant Evening News to a full hour because the madness needs to be understood in a Catholic context — one full hour of news and analysis through an authentic Catholic lens. We keep you informed on the latest developments in the Church, across the nation and around the world, streaming online at ChurchMilitant.com.
This kind of coverage also requires us to actually go to the physical places where the news is happening. Our reporters are now traveling across the country to be "on the ground" and give you the facts through an authentic Catholic lens. For example, in just these first few weeks of 2022, we've already been to Arizona, for example, to cover the serious question of election integrity — an increasingly important topic, as the arena of spiritual warfare has shifted to the political sphere.
In fact, Church Militant was actually invited by state legislators to cover the hearings because of the respect we have garnered in politically conservative circles for our reporting on the 2020 election, the fallout and the upcoming midterms.
Very few things speak to the reality of spiritual war being fought in the political arena like the nightmare of abortion. To that end, no other Catholic media brought you the degree of extensive coverage of the U.S. Supreme Court's critical case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, the first serious threat to Roe v. Wade in more than 30 years. We traveled our crew to Washington, D.C., to blanket-cover not only the arguments themselves, but also on-the-ground reaction and perspective, and we will be returning for when the final opinion is handed down.
Likewise, the crime of illegal immigration is taking on more and more serious dimensions — and particularly in light of the U.S. bishops continuing cooperation in all of it, cloaking themselves in religiosity over the matter, while laughing all the way to the bank.
Millions of illegals are being shuttled all over the country and dropped in unsuspecting communities, and it's all being arranged through covert actions between Biden and the bishops. That's why we traveled our crew to McAllen, Texas, a couple of weeks back to highlight the severe consequences for Americans regarding the border crisis.
It took almost no time for us to capture footage of illegal crossings and the role Catholic Charities plays in all of this, and, by "this," we mean human trafficking, killings, drug smuggling — you name it. Our on-the-road coverage of these kinds of events is quickly earning Church Militant the respect of being the go-to source, which is one reason we are able to lock down interviews with some of the biggest names in the political and Catholic world.
They know our footprint is growing and want to reach the audience (i.e., you) that we speak to. All of this is possible, first of all, owing to Our Blessed Lord. We pray to be used to save souls. Our work here is dedicated to that single mission. That mission, of course, must be carried out and pursued in the material world and, importantly, in the circumstances of the day.
We have been able to grow and advance in that mission because of you, our supporters, and we are immensely grateful for all of your support. We'd like to continue bringing you this kind of coverage because of the great need for an authentic Catholic voice out there in the great marketplace of ideas, the world, which is, as Bp. Sheen called it, "the great theater of redemption."
If you love what we do and you want to see us continue providing you with more authentic Catholic coverage, analysis and content, we invite you to become a monthly donor by clicking the link below and visiting ChurchMilitant.com today.
Nevertheless, we have made the commitment to "answer the bell" and get out into the world, where the serious battle is going on — and not only cover those events, but be a voice in the maelstrom, an authentic, Catholic voice.
So again, please consider supporting our work. It is a work of the Church, and no other Catholic outfit is doing it.

For those instructing that Michael Voris should have spoken in private with Taylor Marshall, he did. Voris spoke with Marshall — at length — on the theological/obedience/doctrinal errors of the SSPX and the danger of schism and driving/leading people out of the Church because of the current crisis.
Marshall ignored it and has pursued his current public path.

Church Militant not only does but absolutely considers it a moral duty to point out sin that ruins souls — and that is wherever it is encountered. Exercising this duty often puts us in conflict with the Culture of Death that dominates the world and the Church.
And yes, the Culture of Death not only dominates the world from a material point of view, but also the Church from a spiritual point of view.
There is natural death, and then there is the "second death" of the spiritual order. And let's be very clear here — many, many clergymen are nothing more than "merchants of death" of the spiritual order.
So yeah, you're darn tootin' we (and, really, every Catholic) have a duty to attack that empire of evil.
But, of course, every time you go after the demonic, it comes after you as well. Not really surprising, but you have to know it, eyes wide open, when you engage in this.
Now, how you are fought against and pilloried varies, but understand, the attack is always engineered by the same dark source.
Satan is not only the father of lies; he is also the great deceiver. He distorts truth in addition to straight-up lying.
And in the latest example of this, aimed against this apostolate, the most recent edition of the highly Marxist-minded publication Mother Jones — in which a 4,000-plus-word article accuses Church Militant of being white nationalists and all the usual idiotic claims.
Apparently, we "hate" a lot of people — according to the article. And, while the reporter does sprinkle in some other Catholic outfits, Church Militant is mentioned by name close to two dozen times, which averages out to about every 200 words or so.
So clearly, Mother Jones sees Church Militant as something that needs to be attacked and, for that, we'd like to say thank you for the backhanded compliment. Very kind of you — Mom.
But why is Church Militant drawing all this fire with such consistency? After all, our "Bishops: Enough Is Enough" rally last November in Baltimore, which we had to go to U.S. federal court to ensure happened, was focused on victims of homopredator molestation of teenage boys and vulnerable seminarians.
I mean, who could object to that?
Is it the editorial position of Mother Jones that homosexuals, even those in robes, should be allowed to sexually assault other males? Here's the real reason Church Militant is drawing such fire from the Marxist crowd: We condemn their sacred cow of sodomy.
In fact, the article centers around the topic, mentioning it in some way, shape or manner over a dozen times. Abortion only gets a mention five times. Homosexual or gay or sodomy — those terms come up more than a dozen times.
The reporter, Kathryn Joyce, is a heavily accomplished, award-winning "reporter" in the leftist universe.
Of course, she thinks her pro-gay, pro–child murder, anti-God screeds are "journalism," as do all the pro-gay, pro–child murder, anti-God outfits that have heaped awards on her for her well-written propaganda pieces treated as though they are somehow actual journalism.
They aren't, for the record. She and her ilk disguise opinion pieces as "reporting" or "investigations" and so forth. And they are normally very thinly disguised, if at all, actually.
But the point of all this is straightforward.
A "reporter" who has written for every leftist/Marxist rag on the planet and has been lauded for her work felt compelled to do a story on Church Militant's Baltimore rally and use it as a jumping-off point to reveal to the world what a "horrible" outfit we are.
Well, if you think men having sexual relations with men, hacking children to pieces in the womb and sucking out the remains with a high-powered vacuum cleaner, destroying families, decrying phony racism, teaching third-graders how to masturbate and enabling homosexual abuse is "horrible," then Church Militant stands guilty as charged.
The secular media world recognizes that Church Militant is leading the charge in both reporting and activism in unmasking their evil empire and, as a result, cannot resist the temptation to strike out at us.
Likewise, so does the U.S. hierarchy, who maintain their own empire of evil. Church Militant has been dealing with all this garbage almost since the day of our inception — 16 years ago.
It would be instructive here to recall the words of Mahatma Gandhi: "First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win."
We are happy to see, as well as report, that we are now in the third phase of that process — the fight. What the faithful are battling is a giant structure, built over decades by the Left to destroy truth.
It's been a multi-front operation. The courts, the academy, the media — no stone has been left unturned. But the funny thing about the truth, it's like water. It always finds a way. It is, after all, the very nature of truth to be known. And no amount of clever writing or distortion or deception can keep the truth suppressed.
At the end of all of it, the war, fittingly called a "holy war" by Mother Jones, boils down to a war between Catholicism and atheism. No other belief systems have any real or lasting importance. The Catholic Church is the only true religion on the earth, and atheism is the only fully demonic response to the Church.
As the great 19th-century Spanish Catholic political theologian Juan Donoso Cortés once said, "Catholicism is the law of life, the life of the intelligence, the solution of all problems. Catholicism is the truth, and everything that departs from it one iota is disorder, deception and error."
The problem today is, the Church's enemies know this truth, but too few Catholics do. At least Mother Jones and Church Militant agree on one thing.

It is now exactly 321 days until the 2022 midterm elections, and while the average American likely isn't thinking about this right now, you should be.
While a week is counted as an eternity in politics, much more 45 weeks (as we stand here today), Biden is crumbling, and the Democrats don't seem to be able to do anything to stop it — or even slow it.
No matter what metric is measured, Biden is being hammered:
Heck, when asked a few days ago what Biden's major foreign policy achievement was in his first year, Jen Psaki was caught totally off guard and couldn't name one. She exited (stage left) pretty fast.
And of course, what's waiting in the wings? Kamala Harris — who scores even lower than Biden.
These power-hungry creeps are in a major bind here.
The likes of Pelosi (and so forth) are so desperate to hold on to their power that they have never really permitted the farming up of their replacements. Unlike the Republican side of the aisle, where there is a veritable stable of young, fresh faces (not only ready to swarm Congress but also destroy establishment Republicanism), the Democrats have no such future contingencies. They're old, worn out and on their way out.
Even their usual voter base is increasingly turning away from them. Blacks and Latinos (especially Latinos) are stampeding away from the Marxist gang. Perhaps that's because it's minorities who have been kept disproportionately poor under 60 years of Democratic policies, and they are finally seeing the light.
Likewise, the nonstop woke idiocy is irritating even a good number of less radical Democrats. Biden sicking the Justice Department on parents who don't want their kids taught they are bad people because they are White or don't want their kids brainwashed into thinking they are the opposite sex — that just doesn't fly.
America has shifted leftward in the past 60 years, but not that left — at least, not yet. This power-crazed crowd has overplayed their hand, but, then again, evil always overplays its hand.
And then there is the COVID tyranny. Masks, Fauci, 19 shots followed by 15 boosters — and then you still catch it and die.
Ah, COVID! Mystical, magical memory for the Marxists, who were able to weaponize the communist germ and steal an election.
Well now, with the Supreme Court (namely Brett Kavanaugh) now stepping in and demanding a response from the White House on its private employer vaccine mandate, things are suddenly looking not so great for even that part of the agenda.
Over the weekend even some airlines — most of whom have been like Nazis, insisting the yellow-star mask cover everything except your eyes — even there, a crack in the wall as the CEO of Southwest said publicly, "We have to admit masks don't really do anything."
Well, no duh, but glad to see he (and others) finally get that. Paper masks are about as effective at keeping out a virus as a cyclone fence is at keeping out mosquitoes. The whole mask thing is, and always has been, complete fear theater — nothing else.
All over the country, business owners are up in arms about the supply chain, lack of workers, decreasing profits, you name it. Increasing taxes to pay for Marxist principles being installed — there isn't one area of what Biden could call "success" that he can point to.
His "angry old man" routine in his rambling, incoherent speeches never was popular but is now a laughingstock, with him being likened to a hybrid of the two old man Muppets in the balcony, Statler and Waldorf.
Likewise, when popular sentiment arises from the great, unwashed masses (and big problems are renamed for you), it's pretty clear your days are numbered. That's what the term "Bidenflation" connotes. Ticktock, Joe.
But perhaps the single most significant indicator that the Marxists are on their way to being swept from power in 321 days is that cultural mantra, "Let's go Brandon!" It pops up everywhere — like that speech from phony-Catholic Pelosi in her hometown. Biden has smeared the entire Democratic Party. Good.
But, in reality, what's been accomplished is that the real agenda of the Democrats has been exposed, and people just don't like it. Heck, even Joe Manchin (another not-good Catholic), one of their own, doesn't like it.
It's actually a little hard to determine which is more dead — Biden's agenda or Biden's brain. And now it's time to get real about all this, speaking in terms of spiritual warfare. The Marxist Democrats and their evil agenda are nothing more than instruments of the Devil, and the Devil's main target is followers of Christ (as St. John tells us in the Apocalypse). "Then the dragon became angry with the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring, those who keep God's commandments and bear witness to Jesus" (Revelation 12:17).
Satan has no other way of "waging war" than through human agents (that he controls because they have given themselves over to him). They are indeed the "offspring of the serpent" spoken of by the Lord God in the garden and by Our Lord Himself to the Pharisees. No one should be surprised by any of this, shocked by it, think it weird.
How else would a person expect evil to seize control, to institute a system of control and enslavement over humanity, other than through politics? Satan can't perform miracles. Even though he is an angel (albeit fallen), his enormous powers are not limitless. He, too, has boundaries and limitations.
And he does nothing without God permitting it. So this giant war going on now (cultural) is permitted by Heaven for a greater good. While we may not understand the specific greater goods in detail, we do know that the greater good is salvation — for those who accept it and take up the Cross.
In the divine majesty, this is evil that God has permitted on the battlefield of our salvation, and therefore we must be engaged with it. On the spiritual side (the faith dimension), we must pray. But likewise, on the material side, we must battle all of this, and since it is politics where this is being fought most ferociously, that is where believers must be.
Every one of the agenda items of the Biden/Pelosi/AOC crowd is aimed at snuffing out Christianity, specifically Catholicism (and notice — each one of them is a Catholic).
Why is that? Why is Catholicism the target? Because Catholicism is the only religion founded directly by Jesus Christ, and continues, under the protection of the Holy Spirit, to teach His truth. And while the leadership of the Church (the hierarchy) is completely off the rails right now, starting with the pope and moving on down, that does nothing to the Deposit of Faith. It doesn't even matter if the bishops (or even the pope) don't believe the Deposit of Faith, or even reject it.
That doesn't alter the word by the slightest iota.
It ends them up in Hell, as individuals, but the Faith remains pure, untouched, unable to be blemished in even the smallest way. The Church belongs to Our Blessed Lord — not the international gay crime syndicate currently running it. And that's why Satan is using corrupt Catholic bishops and morally degenerate Catholic politicians to destroy Her. Good luck.
In this time and place in human history, it is the political arena where followers of Christ are called to do battle, and it is ferocious out here. But it is precisely because it is ferocious that we are called to stand and fight (and then drive back and defeat) the Devil. Thankfully, his shock troops are led by a brain-dead leader who lost an election and has a penchant for doing nothing right.
And this is why we must be extra careful this approaching campaign — more committed than ever before. The Devil is not going to rest. He doesn't know the future, but he's not an idiot. Somewhere, in the back of his mind, he knows how all this ends.
There is a ticking clock (it echoes throughout all creation), and he knows it. He doesn't know what time the alarm is set for, but he does know there is an alarm.
We, too, don't know. But we do know, whatever time that alarm is set to go off, it is our duty to always fight evil. But we also know that, with each passing day, each minute, the end draws closer.
Make sure that when the alarm does go off, for either us as individuals or creation as a whole (because both will happen) that you have a blood-soaked sword in your hand and the scars of battle all over you.
Enjoy Christmas and, when the new year arrives, commit to fighting the fight of your life. Biden is blowing himself up. Let's give him a hand.

As the glorious feast of Christmas now descends on the world, we'd like to take this moment to wish all of you a holy, blessed Christmas from all of us here at Church Militant!
Thank you for all your continuing prayers, support and kind expressions over the past year. They are very much appreciated.
As Christmas season 2021 now comes into focus, a few thoughts, if we may:
There is a beautiful Christmas hymn (my personal favorite), "O Come All Ye Faithful," which contains a specific line that sums up Christmas. The specific line is in the third verse: "Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing."
Consider the enormity of that line (and for all the "Church of Nice" types out there, this is why sacred music matters, and not guitar-strumming Christian pop — because it makes you think of God, and not your own feelings).
Anyway, consider the word "Word." The English translation of the Greek "Logos." Saint John speaks of the Logos right off the bat in his Gospel. "In the beginning was the Word [the Logos]."
The ancients understood that all of creation was held together by some force, operated under the influence of some individual reality far greater than just the sum of all creation.
Think, perhaps, of the binding reality that keeps creation in place. Not just the laws of physics, but the law that underlies those laws. What makes the universe exist? And what makes the universe exist in the manner that it exists? — its movements, its operations, its own internal harmony.
Well, the Logos, that's what.
It was seen as the operational force responsible for everything existing (and continuing to exist and continuing to exist in the manner in which it exists).
And then, on a single night in Bethlehem, that force (that Logos) appeared in flesh. It became visible.
Nine months earlier, in Nazareth, it had collected itself — drawn from its own eternal wellspring — and focused its existence in the immaculate womb of a virgin, a virgin it had prepared for itself, for this moment, for all eternity.
The infinite, without any loss of its own infinitude, gathered, collected itself into the finite space of the womb of the Nazarene Virgin. There it lay, hidden from the world until this night — it showed itself to material creation in the face.
The angels could not contain themselves at the sight of that which, up to this point, they only knew through Spirit. They erupted into heavenly song above, in the night sky over Bethlehem.
The animals in the cave, who had done nothing, had no part in the fall of man and yet were now impacted by that fall with hunger and death — the Logos willed that these innocents be the first to behold that which brought them into being.
In so doing, a measure of justice (from the Son of Justice) was already being restored to the created order. But the animals (in whatever dim sense they "knew" or experienced the Logos in flesh appearing), they were only the first "victims" of this Child.
The Logos literally materialized, became matter, appeared in flesh to kill. It's a shame, in one sense, perhaps, that there is not a "Litany to Christ the Killer." Because, of course, while the eternal Logos came ultimately to save, to be the Savior, that task could not be fulfilled without His killing of the fallen world. It had to be slain, defeated, completely and utterly conquered, vanquished, made a thing of the past never to rise again, for salvation to be achieved.
This is precisely what Christmas is — a celebration of our divine Assassin arriving in time to destroy, to destroy in order to save. We had to be broken out of prison, and that means violence had to ensue. He Himself, the eternal Logos (now in flesh appearing), said it quite plainly when He had matured to full stature: "Do not think I have come to bring peace. I have not come to bring peace, but the sword."
That's why, at my own personal Christmas creche, I have a small sword right next to the manger.
The entire (and sole) reason for this day is to go to war. Our General — the Logos — appears for this reason and this reason only.
The Church of Nice, dominated by the modernist heretics, hates the sword. The sword is not nice. It's mean and divisive. It's offensive. It's not tolerant.
And, on all of that, the Church of Nice modernists are exactly correct. The Logos is not nice. He's never portrayed by His Apostles (of those who knew Him firsthand) as "nice." His enemies never perceived Him as nice. They correctly understood Him as one they feared and had to kill.
The demons were terrified of Him, even if only having a vague recognition of exactly Who or what was standing before them. They found out for certain as He delivered His Spirit into the hands of the Father, from Whom He had proceeded.
The Pharisees, as well, had some dim understanding that Who was standing in front of them, condemning them, was not just some political upstart or theological contrarian.
Caiaphas himself, cutting through all the religious chatter and accusations and debates at the illegal trail, got down to the brass tacks, the heart of the matter, when he asked, flat out, "Are you the Messiah, the Son of the living God?"
Caiaphas asked the Logos, Who was appearing before him in the flesh, "Are you the eternal Logos?"
The Logos answered in the affirmative.
And they set about to kill the flesh that the Logos stood before them draped in. But they could not kill that which was appearing in flesh before them. What (and Who) stood before them was existence itself, the great I AM — and that cannot be extinguished.
It is, after all, the nature of existence to exist, and a thing cannot go against its nature. It's why the Logos said of Itself, "No one takes My life from Me. I have the power to lay it down and pick it up again.
All of Eternity was drawn down into that manger, having emerged from the womb of the mother It had prepared for Itself from before time.
And now the war was on, full tilt. The suffering of that war was already being visited on the Logos, draped in the flesh of the Bethlehem Babe.
It was being visited on Him because He willed for it to be visited on Him. War means suffering, sacrifice and pain — and in the flesh It had clothed Itself in, the Logos was already doing battle, suffering. Suffering the cold, the hunger, the physical strains of infancy, the discomfort of the wood, the splinters of the feeding trough.
It would not be the last time the Logos would permit the pain of wood to scar Him.
Remember all this as you approach the creche this season. Comprehend as best we are able. Contemplate the tremendous love the eternal Logos bears for you.
And then understand what your gift back is. The Logos descended to bear the sword and award it to you. All that remains is for you to pick it up.
Merry Christmas.

In the world of media, change is a virtual constant, and change involves all kinds of moving parts, organizing all sorts of aspects and activities to feed into the greater mission. Even down to the sort of "small stuff" most people don't really think of, like moving desks, rearranging where people sit, reorienting sets (which on its own means moving cameras, lights and backdrops).
It seems we do this about every 6–8 months, and we finished expanding the studio just a little over two years ago.
However, what that all means, and what this all means, is growth. And what growth means is more and more Catholics, as well as people of goodwill who may not be Catholic (at least not yet), are paying increased attention to us and what we do here — what we report.
Church Militant has taken the lead position in the world of Catholic media — authentic Catholic media — something we are both thankful for and blessed with. This has happened because of our straight-up commitment to truth. Put in its simplest terms, you have all come to regard us as trustworthy.
But that's a two-way street. We are committed to bringing you all the information we can in a truthful, straight-up, no-holds-barred way, and we don't care who gets ticked off about it.
Be it bishops or lefties (sometimes one and the same), what matters is the truth. Nothing else.
Those who don't like what we do here (and say here) are those who have a vested interest in keeping the status quo in place. The status quo right now is horrid — both in the Church as well as in the culture. Truthfully, it's horrid in the culture because it's horrid in the Church.
The interrelationship between the two (the Church and the world) is having devastating effects on bodies and souls. Here at Church Militant, we concern ourselves with both.
Human beings aren't just spirits floating around, unconcerned with the things of the world. Christians in general, and especially Catholics, must be concerned with the things of the world. One of our heroes, Ven. Abp. Fulton Sheen, used to say "the world is the theater of redemption."
Indeed it is.
The Church brings the message of redemption, of salvation into the world. But today, both sides of that activity are out of whack. The hierarchy has been reduced to an international gay crime syndicate, unable or unaware of its mission to the world, given it by Our Blessed Lord. And the world has reached such a state of depravity that it is almost incapable of actually hearing the truth.
Both of those things need to be fixed. And it is Catholics who must step up and take the lead in doing that. Corruption must be exposed in both places. Evil must be fought against in both places. Humans must be saved in both places. That is the work — precisely the work — we are engaged in here every day, in everything we do.
And as the magnitude of work increases (and, believe me, it is), we have to make whatever accommodations we are capable of making to embrace the increased workload — even if it means literally rearranging the furniture.
It's actually become something of a joke around here now, that whatever and however we arrange the layout in here to accommodate production needs, it doesn't matter because we're going to change it again in a few months. Hopefully not, because it's kind of a pain. But we'll do whatever we need to do. The mission of saving souls (bringing them to the truth of Our Blessed Lord in the Church and the world), that's what matters. Nothing else.
Expect 2022 is going to be a pivotal year in the world, certainly, and even (likely) in the Church. That's what we are doing all this preparatory work for right now.
To that end, we'd like to ask you to make an end-of-year donation to us and our work here. TV is extremely expensive. Technology is constantly changing and needing to be upgraded. Personnel is always needing to be increased.
As more and more information pours in here from the world of the Church (as well as the political world), we need to be able to respond, and we need to do it in a way that is bigger, faster, stronger, better than all the rest.
People are calling us and contacting Church Militant precisely because they know they can trust us. No other Catholic media on the planet has proven its chops like this apostolate.
No one.
We work hard here — really hard — to make sure that we are your go-to source for truth.
But not just truth — also the much-needed context. Without context, truth is oftentimes just a string of facts: true, sure, but largely meaningless if you don't understand the significance of those truthful facts, of how they impact your lives (spiritual first, and then material), of what you are supposed to then go do with those facts.
This is what Church Militant brings to the worlds of the Church and the culture: truth and context, followed by solutions.
It all begins right here in our crazy, cramped, cozy media center; but it finishes with you — your support, your action out in the world to bring about a better world.
So please — whatever you are able to donate to our continuing fight for truth, Catholic truth leading to Catholic action, please just click on the link below. We have an ambitious agenda for the coming year, and you can rest assured that we here behind the walls of Church Militant (now having exploded to 65 workers) will be doing our part.
Please help us in this with whatever you can with your end-of-the-year donation.
Thank you in advance for all your support — financial and spiritual.

All that brings us neatly to today's subject matter, the work we do here — but, more importantly, the wellspring from which the work itself flows. And that is the St. Michael Chapel and our prayer life.
We begin and end the day, each day, with prayer — specifically, the Rosary and Liturgy of the Hours in the morning and then the Liturgy of the Hours (Vespers) each evening. We also pray the Angelus at noon, as well as the Divine Mercy Chaplet immediately following.
You are, of course, invited to join us for our chapel prayer livestream at 8 a.m. ET as well as vespers at 4:45 p.m. ET each weekday. We are happy to have you add your voices to ours as we all pray for truth and justice in our Church and nation.
Add together all that time and it's about an hour a day, and, without it, (that hour) nothing we do here would have any real significance. Sure, we would probably make television and write stories and all that. But without the spiritual dimension, that's all we would be.
If you've seen our flagship show, The One True Faith (that's the one that got the ball rolling here and immediately ticked off the archdiocese of Detroit, who tried to end us), you'll see at the very beginning of each episode a brief introduction by a splendid and holy priest, Fr. Pablo Straub. Father Pablo, a regular on EWTN while Mother was still alive and on the air, was a dear friend to us here and a real pillar of support during those early days when corrupt churchmen in the archdiocese of Detroit and elsewhere were attacking us.
We even named one of our studios here (where we shoot our program Mic'd Up) after him. God rest his soul — pray for us, Father.
We used to be just on local television here in Detroit, but (it was during one of his visits) he said to me, "Michael, you must bring Christ to the internet." Seemed like a good idea — and here we are! But, in addition to the grand overview (which is, of course, important), he also said to me about the chapel, "This is the most important space you have. Everything you do out there [meaning in the studio] begins in here."
The chapel, our prayer life, is the reservoir from which all we do flows. It has to be. And we are reminded of that daily as we pray the Liturgy of the Hours or reflect on whatever mystery of the Rosary we may be praying.
For example, in morning prayer, we routinely encounter the line, "If the Lord does not build the house, in vain do the builders labor." Likewise, one of the Rosary meditations is from when Our Blessed Lord tells the servants at the wedding feast to fill the jars with water.
The old reflection comes to mind: "Work like everything depends on you. Pray like everything depends on God."
All of our reporting, our programs, our articles — all of it — ultimately is for one end: to be used to help save souls. We are not a monastery, but we are not a production company, either. We are an apostolate doing the work of the Church, specifically, serving Catholics.
But we do that work in the world. We are not contemplatives, although we do contemplate here quite a bit. Likewise, we are not a "religious community" (as Catholics normally understand that), but we are nonetheless engaged communally in a religious work.
The tool of our work is the media. But what is "media"? In short, the media (or the singular, media) is the means in the material world to transport immaterial realities.
Angels don't need a medium to transport their thoughts. They are not material beings in a material world like we are, so they are in no need of a vehicle or a medium. We, however, down here in time and space and matter, do need vehicles to transport our thoughts.
Thoughts well up from our intellects, and the intellect is a spiritual faculty. But unless that thought finds a tangible means to be expressed, transported to another intellect, it remains trapped (as it were) inside the person's mind. It must be communicated. It must exit the mind — and that demands a means of being transported. We all understand this, of course. It's why we speak to one another, a foundational means of communication.
And to speak to many (the so-called masses) a "mass media" is required. On an elemental level, a microphone and a couple of speakers fit the bill — or even a bullhorn. But on a larger level, that's what television is — a medium for communicating thoughts to the masses.
All these cameras and sets and microphones and piles and piles of equipment and cables and cords and all of it — these are merely the tools of the medium of television. They are just the bridge to get from one mind to many minds. They are the answer to the "how" of communicating.
But the important question is, What is being communicated?
The cameras (and so forth) are moral neutrals, mere tools. But the message they carry, that they are a vehicle for, that's what matters. Immaterial realities are transported across material realities.
That's why we pray here every day. Not so much for stuff (although we do make our fair share of petitions). Rather, we pray to imbue our thoughts with spiritual truths — Catholic truths — so that, when we walk out of the chapel, we are spiritually prepared to touch the material goods and employ them for spiritual truth.
The Devil figured out the importance of mass media long before Catholics did, and he controls a major swath of it. It's why Fr. John Hardon was so spot on, referring to it as the "Luciferian media." And, for the record, we have another area of our studios named after Fr. Hardon as well.
Prayer creates within the person who is praying a reservoir, and from that reservoir spills over the fruits of prayer. Communal prayer has the same effect on communal work. It serves as the reservoir from which spills over the fruit of that work.
What we do here is not so much a medium, a channel through which things flow, but the fruit of a reservoir filled every day with prayer, so that we can go into the studio and do our work. And our work is to help comfort the sad, give a voice to victims, bring about conversions to the truth — to provide a Catholic lens through which to view all the evil and corruption we see around us.
This is why, as we approach each year-end, we reach out and ask for your financial help — to whatever degree you are able to help. It is, of course, the spiritual work we do that is foremost. But the transporting of these spiritual truths in the realm of the mass media is crazy expensive. Not just the equipment itself, but the people to run it, maintain it, operate it, keep abreast of the seemingly nonstop changes — all of it.
Our Blessed Lord told the servants at the wedding feast in Cana to fill the jars with water. That required physical effort in the material world. They needed to get the buckets, schlep on down to the town well, fill them up, transport them back to jars, pour them in and go back and forth in a makeshift fire brigade until the jars were full. It likely took quite a while, and a lot of effort, given what the custom was for a Jewish wedding in Our Lord's day.
When the material needs were accomplished, then (and only then) did Our Lord choose to perform His miracle. He didn't need the material to perform the spiritual, but He wanted it done that way.
So, too, here at the studio, and all other apostolates. We live in a material existence because Almighty God willed it that way. That means material stuff is required. And for us here at Church Militant, that means everything you see around us and all the bills that come along with it.

I'm Michael Voris, coming to you from our construction zone here in the media center. Just as a reminder and carryover from yesterday, we're hiring reporters and video crews. If you're interested, just go to the "We're Hiring" section of our homepage (down at the bottom) and get in touch.
All this construction (and moving around and adding staff) is us gearing up for a massively important 2022. There are, on the one hand, the midterm elections here in the United States, which will be the first large-scale opportunity to put the brakes on the Marxist takeover of the United States. On the other hand, the Marxist takeover in the Church is its own dilemma — requiring a much more skillful approach.
It is, of course, the battle for the Church that is top priority, but sometimes, you've just got to establish a firewall. And as we get into 2022, that firewall is going to be in the world of politics.
Too many leaders in the Church are down with Marxism (disguised as "love of neighbor") and are active participants on the political scene. We can't vote for and elect bishops. But we can do everything we can to blunt their actions in the world of politics. And if you are one of those few remaining people who don't see the connection, allow us to point you to the world of COVID tyranny.
Any thinking person now understands that the so-called vaccine (which is not a vaccine) accomplishes nothing. It's being weaponized by globalist Marxists to advance their agenda of one world order — and too many of the U.S. bishops are either in agreement with that or just flat-out too stupid to see it. And by the way, Your Excellencies, it was developed using aborted babies.
No, it is not "an act of love" to inject yourself with a serum developed by killing children. And that's aside from the horrors of not only the side effects and deaths, but also the cooperation among the Marxist world order to deliberately withhold known lifesaving and symptom-reducing treatments.
And don't forget — all of this was brought about because the Bolsheviks were first able to steal an election by weaponizing the virus to lock down their power.
And there is no doubt (as an apostolate that is on the front lines of this war, like no other apostolate) the Bolshevik theft and launching of Biden into the White House has created an extremely unfriendly environment for doing business as usual. Around these parts, we call it "doing business under Biden," and it has forced us here at Church Militant to get incredibly creative in how we do what we do.
While Trump was in office, we had no real hurdles to have to overcome. But in the last year — with Marxism rising — we've faced challenges we had not previously imagined.
There is no doubt about it. The Bolsheviks have become emboldened under Biden.
An environment has now arisen where political conservatives and faithful Catholics have become "public enemy number one."
For example, there is no way the city of Baltimore would have had the chutzpah to do to us what they pulled this year to prevent our Bishops: Enough Is Enough rally from happening. We were on that exact same stage just three years earlier — and not a peep. But with Trump out and the Bolsheviks in, they felt emboldened, in cooperation with the U.S. bishops' conference, to trample all over our First Amendment rights.
They lost spectacularly in federal court (twice), but we had to expend valuable resources to secure those victories. But they don't care how much they spend because it is not their money. Note that theme moving forward.
Also, along these same lines, during the Baltimore madness, we got a notice from our regular business insurance carrier that, come March, they will not be renewing us. Some woke Marxist in that company doesn't like what we do. And just like that, bam! Likewise, as some of you may know, our former video-hosting company, VIMEO, canceled us because someone complained about us.
The Southern Poverty Law Center has labeled us a "hate group," and private companies we used to do business with use that as an excuse to stop doing business with us. We, of course, have to spend time and money going into "scramble mode" to withstand these blows, and that costs money.
Digital real estate comes at a premium these days. Why should truthful media be required to rent cloud-hosting services from the big players, like Jeff Bezos?
The biggest threat to our continued existence — what the unelected, bishop-supported, loser fake-Catholic in the White House would deem an "existential threat" — was a note we got from our host serving company early this year.
If the host server company a website uses pulls the plug on that site, that's it. You're done. D.O.N.E. You are cut off from everything. It's like Twitter or Facebook or YouTube canceling you, but much more severe.
An internet-based outfit (like Church Militant) is entirely dependent for getting access to the internet — and therefore to you— on the hosting company. So when we got a note earlier this year from our hosting company letting us know that Marxist agitators had discovered who hosted us, and had sent in a complaint to them about us being haters and all that, we were more than a little concerned.
After going back and forth on what to do, we made the extremely costly decision to drop three-quarters of a million dollars to build and maintain and host everything ourselves — on our own server.
While a huge amount of money, at the end of the day, we didn't really have a choice. To potentially leave our continued internet existence up to the whims and hatred of the Biden brigades would have been foolhardy.
For obvious reasons, we aren't going to say much at all about security we have put in place (the location, the capacity) — nothing. But what we will say is that we have done absolutely everything in our power to ensure the continued existence of this apostolate into the future, as far as we can see. We host our own videos. We host our own site. We run the show. No one else.
No one has any way to interfere with our usual business operations. We are, as we like to point out in our reporting on ecclesiastical corruption, completely and totally independent.
The server is ours. The content is ours. The hosting is ours. And there's not a blessed thing the Biden Bolsheviks can do about it.
Independence costs. Period. And it doesn't matter if you're talking about reporting on the corruption (where independence certainly comes at the price of being locked out) or having an independent business operation, which costs hundreds of thousands to ensure.
Independence has a high price tag. But when it's all said and done, it's worth it.
Being the most trusted source in Catholic media requires that we remain the most independent source in Catholic media, plain and simple.
So where does Church Militant stand entering this pivotal year? Well, aside from our scoring a crushing, precedent-setting blow in federal court against the Marxists, note that (1) we have been able to insulate ourselves from almost all internet threats; (2) rather than bow to accusations of "hate speech" and water down our content (and get canceled), we saved them the trouble, packed up and moved to our own server farm; (3) no other Catholic media outfit, or even any other apostolate of whatever kind, is taking the fight to the enemy like we do.
No one knows the future for certain, and that includes the Devil. But a discerning mind can certainly peer into it based on current trends and the predictable behavior of your enemies and plan. Church Militant has assembled a team of fighters like no other apostolate in the Catholic world. No one.
Perhaps it's because of the information we deal with every day, the carnage from the spiritual war we are in, but the fight we have here does give you a clear vision.
That's why we've ramped up and taken the road less traveled. Other Catholic apostolates are, frankly, in danger of ceasing to exist. YouTube can pull the plug whenever they want. That's already happened to quite a few loud voices shouting the truth. Likewise with Twitter, Facebook and all the rest of them.
YouTube has already greatly throttled us back for calling "you know what" on the phony vaccine, as well as calling Biden "unelected," which he is. And even new spaces (like Rumble or Epic or any of them) — if you don't completely control your space, you have no guarantee of being there tomorrow.
We realize that none of this would have been possible without the continuing support and generosity of all of you. We try really hard to be as trustworthy and responsible with your money as we can be, and that includes looking into the future and planning — especially when having to do business under Biden.
So we are appealing to your generosity again to help us do what we do here. If you can, please donate to our efforts here at the end of the year, and fight back with us against this evil environment.
You know who we are. You know what we do. And you know how we do it. As long as we have life, spiritual life, there is no "give up" inside these walls. So we are asking you here, at year end, to make a tax-deductible donation to provide what we need to keep us fighting.
The bad guys have money, power, influence, cultural control, the institutions, demonic assistance and all that that brings. We have God — and you. We're feeling pretty good about our chances.

As you know, we're looking to hire some more staff. Please contact us on that point if you, or someone you know, is interested — and more bodies means a better use of space.
Real estate inside Church Militant is at a premium, and once we have all this rearranged (and some set construction finished), we'll show you what you've been seeing going on all this week, in its final form.
There's no doubt about it: The bigger Church Militant gets, the larger the target on our back gets. Of course, the reason for that is because of what we are doing — which is revealing the corruption in the Church and how scoundrels in the Church are cooperating with the corruption in the culture.
And our bombs — truth bombs — are hitting their targets. We are right over them, and we are taking their flak (their anti-aircraft guns, as it were).
We spoke yesterday about being canceled by our regular business insurance carrier as well as our video hosting service. We were also dropped by our regular accounting service. All of those we have replaced, and we are now in an even better place than we were before.
But the larger point is this is how we have to do business in the cancel culture. Living life on the front lines just costs more money, no two ways about it. Church Militant has chosen to go the route of independence, as we said yesterday. That decision is driven by the duty we have to report the truth of current events in the Church and the world — and put them into a Catholic context. If we didn't do that, there'd be no reason to exist.
There already exist a boatload of "professional Catholic" media outfits who keep the full truth from you. Why does the world need another one? Likewise, there are a ton of secular media outlets that have no understanding of the spiritual war playing out and report the day's news without that all-important context.
Here at Church Militant, we do both. That's our commitment to God; Church; and you, our supporters. But traveling along the road less traveled, you pick up a lot of enemies. That's the reason it's less traveled.
Just like EWTN used to when Mother was running the show, you say the truth — the whole truth — and you'd better believe the long knives come out.
And quick sidebar from behind the scenes: As we've told you throughout the week, certain areas in the studio are named after these Catholic giants. The control room is named after Mother Angelica (a true initiation for her tenacity and forthrightness). And this main area where I'm currently standing is the Ven. Abp. Fulton J. Sheen studio.
They, and others, blazed this "road less traveled" we are currently on — and we will never be getting off.
Total independence, which Church Militant has now achieved with our own server farm, gives us wide latitude. It also gives us increased bills.
More and more people are coming to Church Militant with information on the corruption in the Church. Quite a few of them say things like, "I used to think you guys were nutjobs or Catholic-conspiracy types. Turns out you were right all along."
Building trust with viewers takes a long time. Especially when you are reporting and talking about things that (1) nobody wants to hear and (2) seem fantastical. In our position, you don't start off from a "neutral" position. There are psychological hurdles that need to be overcome in viewers' minds (those two I just mentioned are two of the large ones).
But when a person comes to see and accept your foundational assumption, when they become convinced from the sheer evidence, then there is no turning back. You can't unsee something. Be it for lay Catholics — and even many, many clergymen — that's what Church Militant has done over the years.
We were the very first Catholic apostolate to start talking about the homosexual cabal in the Church (in any meaningful way). That was more than a decade ago.
It was our understanding that the Church had been overrun by that cabal that allowed us to raise the challenge to Abp. Bruno Forte at the 2014 Extraordinary Synod on the Family (about him saying, in the midterm document, that "homosexuals have certain gifts and qualities to offer" the Church).
It was the first time in Church history that such an audacious claim had been made publicly by a high-ranking Churchman, and we jumped all over it in the Vatican press room.
It was shortly after that that some well-placed sources in Rome told us that folks in the Vatican started paying attention to Church Militant — on a daily basis.
Church Militant was also the first to hammer home the reality, to put into context, that there is a nexus between modernism and Marxism. Marxists have overrun the Church in all kinds of key positions, and the heresy of modernism has been their tool for getting into the Church itself. Once the theology is destabilized, then politics can move in and supplant the theology (dressed up in theological-sounding spiritual fluff, sure, but still perverting it sufficiently so as to supplant it).
Think, for example, "Getting the vaccine is an act of love — loving your neighbor." No, it's not. But to the ignorant, it sounds like it makes sense.
Once politics has supplanted the theology of the Church in its day-to-day life, then the Church, as an institution, can be co-opted to achieve whatever political ends are desired by those who have their hands on the steering wheel. This is the current state of affairs in the Church, and Church Militant has been in the forefront of uncovering all of this. Each day, we bring you little bits and pieces of this giant overall picture — but the giant overall picture never varies.
The stage we have now arrived at is the literal joining up of forces in the political arena with those in the ecclesiastical arena. The intended goal is globalism, and the favored administration of that new global reality is Marxism.
That is a huge hurdle for many Catholics to get over. It's horrible; it's ghastly; it's frightening — but it's real.
The good news is, as events unfold, more and more Catholics (as well as people of goodwill) are coming to understand this, and they are coming to us for help, exposure and providing more information.
That is all welcomed. Of course, we do everything we can — but it places a greater workload on us, which is why we are hiring and even shuffling things around inside the walls (to deal with the increased work).
One of the main battlefields in the spiritual war is the realm of information. It's vital that people come to understand the big lie being foisted on them. Exposing that lie (from the father of lies) is what we are all about here at Church Militant. Once the lie is exposed — one person at a time — people can then take that information and reorder their lives for their spiritual benefit.
Our entire mission here is to be used to help save souls. It is the truth that sets a person free, and it is the truth that must always be trumpeted. The most traveled road is to deny or ignore the truth. And that is the road most people travel.
The road less traveled is the road where total commitment to truth serves as the guardrails.
As we get very close here to the end of 2021, please make a donation to help support the work we do here. You can just click on the link and donate whatever you deem possible.
By all accounts, 2022 is going to be a hellacious year, and Church Militant is going to be in the thick of it, be it Church or politics. We are committed to serving you, for the sake of souls and Holy Mother Church.
Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.
