We read that God said, if Adam ate the forbidden fruit he would surely die. When reading that statement we read it with a sense of immediacy. In other words, you eat, you die! Yet, Adam lived 930 years! There is a perceived contradiction here. This means, we need to unwrap the underlying paradox. God is true to his word so there is no contradiction here! Only a seeming conundrum, a paradox of evidence that we do not see at first read. We will also see that, “The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil” was put there for a REAL!, purpose. Not to just provide a way for Adam and Eve to simply choose whether or not to follow God or to fall into the temptation eventually presented to them.

Your descendants will take possession of the strongholds of their enemies.  [18] Because you have obeyed me, all the nations of the earth will pronounce blessings on one another using the name of your descendants.” Isaac and Jacob both received this promise as well. It suggests the notion of Generational Blessing!
