Today in Current Events from a Christian Perspective:
Supreme Court says Tear Down That Wall, only this one is on the Southern Border.
US Supreme Court rules against Texas securing the southern border and authorizes the Biden Administration to remove the border barriers. What does this mean for State sovereignty or border security?
Meanwhile a government meeting is opened with a prayer, only this time the prayer is to, you guessed it, Satan!
And we learn that the Fed is making a list and checking it twice of those who have been naughty, not nice, and how do they know if you are naughty, well you bought a Bible online. Yep.

An Alaska Airlines flight loses a door plug at 13,000 feet. No one is injured, but what does this mean for air safety?
Meanwhile, an unmanned flight to the moon is scrapped when technology malfunctions. Because of this, the manned moon landing is postponed for at least a year or two. Remember, we put a man on the moon almost 6 decades ago, but apparently our technology has come so far, we can't do it again.

Old Town Road artist Lil Nas X is back in the controversy. He had his 666 human blood injected shoes, then his music video where his is doing really gross things with Satan and now he is dressing like Jesus to give communion and be crucified. We will discuss.
Meanwhile, Ohio Republican Governor, who vetoed the bill that would have prevented kids from being transed is overturned by the State House of Representatives. The battle continues for the lives of the children.
Across the pond in Scotland, where the Braveheart legend was born, parents are now in danger of jail time for even considering a conversation with their child about not becoming trans, that's conversion therapy, the government says, and that's bad.
Finally, we take a look at some of the weirdest college courses offered last year.

Today in Current Events from a Christian Perspective:

While under construction, an abortion clinic was burnt down. But was it really an abortion clinic or was it just a potential clinic. Was it just a clump of bricks. Who can say really.

The Methodist Church says the words 'husband' and 'wife' are offensive because they remind people that there are only two genders and that there is no such thing as a same sex mirage.

Ohio Republican Governor vetos a bill that would have stopped children from unnecessary surgical mutilation because love is love or something.

The now apparently secular magazine, Christianity Today says that Jesus was Asian. Yes this is a real story that they really published on Christmas Eve.

That satanic display in the Iowa capitol building for Christmas was heroically knocked down.
Then we discover that the Pope is ok with blessing same sex couples, but not marriages.

And finally we review a story about a politician who has been sworn into office, not on the Bible, but on school books containing ... let's just say gross sexual things.

This is Week 3 of Advent here at Church Public.
This week we are looking at JOY!
Advent is a season of hope and expectation. It's a time to prepare for the coming of Christ, to reflect on the year that has passed, and to look forward to the promises of Christmas. Advent has its roots in the Old Testament, where it was celebrated as the time when the Israelites would prepare for the coming of the Messiah. The word "advent" actually comes from the Latin word "adventus", meaning "to arrive."

After that, we go out to Iowa where there is a new Christmas display from the Satanic Temple and
Finally we take a first look at a movie from the infamous director of The Princess Bride, only this time he really doesn't like ... Christians?

Advent Week 2 - PEACE - 2023

This is the second week in our Advent series here at ChurchPublic. Last week we looked at the Advent of Hope. Today we will look at the Advent of Peace. Peace is one of the nine fruit of the Spirit that we find listed in Galatians 5: “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience ….” (Galatians 5:22)
