Church Public

If I profess with the loudest voice and clearest exposition every portion of the truth of God except precisely that little point which the world and the devil are at that moment attacking, I am not confessing Christ, however boldly I may be professing Christ. Where the battle rages, there the loyalty of the soldier is proved, and to be steady on all the battlefield besides is mere flight and disgrace if he flinches at that point. -Martin Luther

Courage in this day and age is the willingness to do and say the RIGHT thing regardless of the cost. And there will be a cost. Sometimes personally, sometimes corporately.
If you say the right thing you may get kicked off social media.
If you say the right thing you may lose your job.
If you say the right thing you may get kicked out of school.

If you do the right thing, the consequences may even be worse as we will see in some of the stories today.

Jesus promised us the world would rise up against his followers. "Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name" Matthew 24:9.

Paul warned that even pastors would lie about God, theology, truth and any number of other false teachings. "I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves men will arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them" (Acts 20:29-30; see also 2 Timothy 4:3-4).

Jesus also reminded us that we do not have to fear:
You WILL have troubles, TAKE HEART, I have overcome the world - John 16:33

So today, we look at several stories, some exemplary of courage that we can draw from, others that we need to learn what not to do.

All in all we know that times are hard and they will require strong, moral, courageous men, to counter the weak, aggressive, immoral cowards that seek to destroy with violence that which they hate.

Courage is not simply one of the virtues, but it is the form of every virtue at its testing point. CS Lewis in the Screwtape letters.

Today on ChurchPublic we look at a Norwegian woman who faces 3 years in prison for a tweet saying men can't be women.

We also celebrate Lia Thomas being nominated as NCAA Woman of the Year.
And of course the Governor of PA vetos a bill keeping men out of women's sports.

Finally we get to Bible where we look at the theological root of the trans assertion and why it is half-right, and therefor, all wrong.

What is Marriage?

I know we have been bombarded by the question "What is a Woman" lately and to be fair, that is a supremely important question, but the next question that follows by extension is, "what is marriage?"

If we cannot answer any of these fundamental questions as a society, we will not long actually be a functioning society. We need identity to communicate, to build to survive, literally. If, as a society, we can't say what a woman or a man or a marriage is, how can we possibly have children that can make sense of the world?

So today we continue to look at all of these questions as fundamental to our meaning and purpose in life.

Senator Elizabeth Warren doesn't like mothers or babies and apparently thinks pregnancy centers are some kind of medieval torture chamber where pregnant 'persons' go in and never return. Also, what is a pregnant person?

Senators on the Hill have a conversation with a pro abortion law professor from UC Berkeley and the responses are... interesting.

And finally, no one reads or believes the Bible anymore.

Disney's Baymax robot meets a trans person while shopping for feminine products.
Also, from a Disney cartoon, two animated male dinosaurs are pretending to have a family by taking care of a rock egg in a nest. The animated children decided to 'help' the gay dinosaurs by finding a surrogate egg donor to give to the gay dinosaurs so they can have a family, because biology, or science, or something.
Yes, these are real storylines from Disney cartoons.

Also, in Wisconsin, the pronoun police actually say NO to a trans sex offender, more on that story in a minute.

Finally, a study finds that religious people are actually happier than other people, I wonder why?

Today on ChurchPublic, where we look at Current Events from a Christian Perspective:
We are encouraged to eat bugs because apparently we are all living through the reality tv show Survivor.
In a related story in the Netherlands, cows are emitting too much, um, well gas so the farmers have to shut down their farms, but the farmers are not to happy about that.
Coming back to America, in Arizona, legislation has passed to limit the voters to registered citizens of America, which apparently is bad, so the United States Department of Justice is suing the state of Arizona to allow some of the 1.5 million illegal immigrants that have entered the southern border this year to vote in the Presidential election of 2024.

Finally, we have to talk about Eastasia Page, or Ellen Page, or Elliot Page, the name has changed so many times I can't remember anymore. At any rate, an actress or actor who was a woman and is now allegedly man has somehow convinced twitter and the mob to censor anyone who remembers anything about the past.

Today we talk about life, death and marriage.
In Illinois a terrible and evil shooting at a parade.
In Japan, the declining birth rate is a national problem, and perhaps foreshadowing of other places in the world...

Meanwhile back in America, response to Roe returning to the states, men and women are choosing to be sterilized.

Facebook says the attackers are actually terrorists, which is great, but will they do anything?
Senator Warren, says they have to "crack down on pregnancy centers..." because apparently helping women is bad, but what is a woman?
And, Biden says he'll remove the filibuster to pass nationwide abortion laws, because...democracy!
