The Cincinnati Bearcats are projected to finish in 13th place in the Big 12, according to Athlon Sports. Alex explains how this is a good thing, allowing the Cincinnati Bearcats to be the hunters instead of the hunted.

The scouting report Athlon Sports provides suggests the Cincinnati Bearcats can reach their sixth straight bowl game this season. The defense is the biggest reason why.

We all remember the shock of Luke Fickell leaving last November. But Athlon suggests that he didn't have an interest in transitioning the Cincinnati Bearcats into the Big 12. That might be tough to hear, but it also explains why the Cincinnati Bearcats may have had a down season last year. It also may be true, as Alex explains, that Luke Fickell wasn't the right head coach to lead the Bearcats into the Big 12.
