For his update of the iconic 1972 Gordon Parks Jr. action drama "Super Fly," Director X delivers an exciting - and surprisingly subversive - summer crime epic that has more car chases and kung-fu than you might expect, but it also stays true to the anti-heroes of the '70s instead of just using their names and image.

With "Hereditary," A24 takes another step forward in elevating what's become of the modern horror genre by taking a grim '70s style plot and conjuring up a few modern shocks to make it all go down easier. Does it work? Let's say there are more spoilers in the trailer than in this review.

So I walked out about half way through "Avengers: Infinity War," but not because it was a bad movie. Has a life spent not being a fan of video games or episodic television finally got the best of me, ir is the Marvel Cinematic Universe truly broad enough for some of its films to appeal to specific audiences?
