Drink Recipe:
Ghostly Chai
2-3 ounces bourbon
1 teaspoon of Chai Tea Simple Sugar (add more to taste)
1 tablespoon pumpkin puree
3-4 ounces of Chai Tea Concentrate
Shake well and serve over ice with a straw
Optional: Garnish with star anise
Alcohol-Free: In place of bourbon, use 2-3 ounces of espresso, strong Spiced Chai, or Bengal Spice tea (2-3 bags) - cool and follow the rest of the steps.
Chai Tea Simple Syrup:
Add 1/2 - 1 cup dark brown sugar to a hot cup of brewed chai tea (you can use concentrate instead but dilute with water); add as much as you want of the following: ground ginger, clove, cinnamon, and nutmeg
Add sugar and spices to the brewed tea while it is hot, stirring until everything is dissolved.
Refrigerate in a container with a lid.
It will keep for two weeks.
