Warning, somehow the gain got turned way down for the first 9 minutes on Beth's mic, but we caught it and things smooth out.  

We have been on quite the roller coaster with Iron Man and it all ends here (at least for the solo movies).  Very few people rate this well, but Beth and Chris both enjoy a lot of it especially in comparison to the first Iron Man.  It tells a good story, grows a character and is generally a fun ride.  Much like this episode!  So come along to this world of nerdage and discover your own inner nerd...you won't be alone!

We are past the audio issues (please gods above say it is true)!!!!  This episode introduces Beth to Phase 2 and oh boy is she in for a ride.  We quickly learn that making this tweak to the listening schedule was an excellent choice and introduce a slightly new format.  If you like it, write in!  If you don't, write in!  Beth is dying to hear from you!  Also, be on the lookout for some bonus content coming your way soon!

**NOTE** Not quite sure what happened but lots of tech difficulties with this one.  The worst is some sort of after processing artifact from about the 8-14 minute mark, where Chris' audio seems to have just gone away.  I will try and come back and fix this if possible, just be forewarned.

Beth sees the culmination of everything before now.  We rate the movies, Chris talks waaaay too much and Beth remembers things!  Overall it was a much better experience than the audio will make it seem but hopefully, this is the last one with such major issues.  Thank you for sticking around!

This is and always will be, at the bottom of the MCU pile.  Nevertheless, we had fun talking about its failures and the few bright spots.  Beth, as usual, is completely wrong about one thing, and Chris goes full circle on some opinions...at least admitting there is more story that could explain some failings.  However, THIS movie does not explore those enough to justify it so come with us on a fun journey and enjoy the new bit!!!

This time we watched the much-maligned Incredible Hulk!  Chris loved it as you might have expected but Beth goes on a journey of discovery that is very fun.  We diverge into some...NSFW territory but it's short and come on, who hasn't thought of it!  Overall not a bad addition to Beth's growing Nerd Knowledge...SHE WILL BE ASSIMILATED.

This week we are watching Iron Man 2, similar to Iron Man 1 but in many ways better.  If you haven't seen it in a while stop right there and go back and watch it (or don't, whatever).  The things that bother Beth are surprising, and the things that bother Chris are just the repeats.  Much like Iron Man 2 this is an overall better episode, but some people will prefer the originality and discovery of the first one.

In this Episode, we pull the rose-colored glasses off and compare Iron Man to the Captains and realize that it comes up short.  Chris is surprised and Beth is disappointed.  But despite all her rage Chris does manage to bring perspective to the episode and Beth gets even more opinionated.  And regardless of how the movie compares, we have Iron Man and RDJ to thank for launching the MCU and thus for giving us content for our Podcast.  Come along on our ride!

We jump almost to the end of the release order for the second installment.  Eight years later yet only a moment for us, Beth really meets Fury and almost doesn't recognize.  The universe is for sure bigger than imagined with this move, and it creates a very interesting contrast to Captain America while continuing to move us forward in the MCU.  Beth is coming out of her shell and settling into this crazy idea, but don't worry, she hasn't lost an inch of snark!

Captain America - The First Avenger, was a little misnamed when it released in 2011, but this time around, he is the first.  Beth is surprised, and Chris points out the issue of physics...that may come up later!  (don't tell her) We each have interesting opinions (I think) and Beth's perspective as brand new is fresh and fun!  Don't miss out on this and Captain Marvel which is also out today!
