Sin does not work in isolation. There is always a pattern of triggers. The flesh is the source and all of sin is an expression of the desires of the flesh. To cut sin, you have to attack the source. You were born in sin, that is how we know that everyone is in need of God’s saving power. Sin has consequence and punishment. The guilt is the consequence of sin. Spiritual death is the punishment for sin

The Gospel comes to us by the grace of God but we received it in faith
