  • 1706: "Primeiramente, Fora Temer!" (Firstly, Get Out Temer!)
Anti-Trump protest reimagined by Rodrigo Ramos.
"As we use to say in Brazil in our protest against the coup done by the illegal president, Michel Temer.
Then, secondly, I have to protest against Trump and every form of Fascism that we are facing. No Trump, No KKK, No Fascism around the World!
This track for the Protest and Politics project is a mix of rock/hip-hop song that i think get the energy and could be a popular chant.

  • 1705: Kneed (London EU march)
    Reimagined by Aimee Chapman.
"The dominating sound in my recording was the Beatles ‘All You Need is Love’ and the crowd joining in to sing along to the chorus. It’s an iconic, joyful song and listening along the recording it almost sounds like a bunch of friends having a drink or two at a garden party or a picnic. I found I needed to remind myself that these were people who had come together to protest, compelled to collectively voice a strong opinion, a need, a want, and while the song choice would indicate a protest of overriding peace, emotions would nonetheless be running high and as a result such an environment can often feel unstable. I wanted to convey this feeling of protest and love on a knife-edge in my re-imagined piece, with what I hope is the sound of love prevailing."

  • 1703: EU, we love you (reimagined)
    Reimagined by Ashley Elsdon.
"The piece uses a series of manipulations on the sample to mangle, reverse and chop it. Much in the same way that the core messages around the referendum we cut up by the media so that the population never really got to understand what the issues were.
The whole piece was made on an iPad Pro using the following apps: SECTOR, Patterning, ELSA, iMaschine 2, AUM, Audiobus 3, frekvens, Haize, Goose EQ, AUFX:Dub and Final Touch."
