If the people who love you the most were to write a book about you, what would they say? Ryan Leak encouraged us to be a person who is consistently doing positive things and making people feel important. May we show up, encourage others, and be the answer to the prayer of someone. Let’s be people who love others who can do nothing for us.

Grudge: a persistent feeling of ill will or resentment resulting from a past insult or injury. Lead Pastore Jen DeWeerdt spoke a powerful message about the unnecessary weight we carry when we hold a grudge. When our hands are full holding the weight of grudges we are not able to accomplish all that God has for us. Let’s be people who do the hard work, drop the weight, and treat people with dignity and honor.

We live in a narcissistic, "selfie" society where it is easy to get caught up in our own selfishness. We spend a lot of time thinking and talking about ourselves. As Jesus becomes more influential in our life, narcissism becomes less influential. Being servant-hearted kills selfishness. In this message, Lead Pastor Jeremy DeWeerdt reminds us that we are called to be an everyday hero for God. God is a more than capable scorekeeper and He sees our faithfulness.

Let’s not let fear stand in our way from reaching the ONE. God will move in someone else’s life because of OUR faith.

We adapt what is said over and over again as truth in our lives. So many times God’s truth gets drowned out. This week Pastor Lisa Seaton spoke on having God’s truth on repeat in our lives. Let’s STOP and take captive our thoughts, THINK on His Word, and PRAY God’s truth over our lives.

We think prayer needs to be long and impressive, but what prayer really is about is relationship with God. This week Ryan Leak walked us through Matthew 6:5-13 and gave us key points on how to pray. Let’s approach prayer not as a wish list but remembering God desires to have relationship with His children.

A willing heart fills God’s hands to build his temple. This week Derek Staaland took us through the story of David in 1 Chronicles 28 & 29 and his willingness to give to God extravagantly and how that inspired those around him to want to give. On repeat God wants us to give with willing hearts to build his temple and the temple today is people.

Why are we so chronically tired and worn out? Maybe the answer to this question is because we are blowing off God’s command of Sabbath. Sabbath is a day of rest, a day to replenish and refill. In this message, Jeremy DeWeerdt teaches us the importance of practicing Sabbath to be the BEST version of ourselves.
