Para las próximas elecciones presidenciales de noviembre, se calcula que 23.8 millones de ciudadanos naturalizados podrán votar, representando alrededor del 10 por ciento del total del electorado estadounidense.
Una encuesta publicada este mes por la Asociación Nacional para los Nuevos Americanos (National Partnership for New Americans o NPNA) reveló que el 97 por ciento de los ciudadanos naturalizados en los estados bisagra, dijeron que probablemente votarían, mientras que el 76 por ciento dijo que votarían con toda seguridad.
