"Churches don't want you, they just want your money." It's not uncommon to hear people say things like this. And to be honest, there are legitimate grievances lying behind that negative outlook. So then should churches abandon the pooling of resources for Gospel mission altogether?
What does the New Testament actually say about church budgets and our obligation (if any) to contribute to them? How do we as a church appeal for and direct resources to the mission of God in our community without becoming lovers of money ourselves? We'll explore these questions and more this Sunday as we continue our series on generosity--how God's grace makes us generous.
