This week we welcome our friends from Compassion Australia to give an update on their work as well as an opportunity to practice generosity through sponsoring a child. Nathan will wrap up our series on generosity with the joy of giving to the poor and vulnerable.

For God so loved the world---that He Gave. The most precious gift He could possibly give. There is nothing that any of us can give back in return that could even come close. 
And yet, we find in the Bible and in real life, that the people who understand the depths of His grace have a hard time holding on to what they have. The more you

John 3:16 -- Why is it that we're in danger of perishing anyway? Why do we need to be saved at all?

The answer to those questions has something to do with this: we all want to be known and loved for who we are, but not completely. Everybody wants to be known. Nobody wants to be exposed. Is it possible to be fully loved and fully known but not ashamed? In Christ, the answer is absolutely!

"For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life."

This weekend we're gathering twice to mark the high point on the church calendar for the year. This Friday we remember the day when the Son of God was pierced for our transgressions and crushed for our sins. We share together in the fellowship of His suffering. And then on Sunday, after the darkness comes the light. We celebrate the Life that Jesus has won for His glory and our joy.
Join us on Good Friday at 9:00 for a reflective time of worship and communion. We'll share hot cross buns together after the gathering. And then on Sunday at 10:00 we'll celebrate the Resurrection of Christ and His total victory over death and the grave. 

Nicodemus comes in the darkness looking for the Messiah to address the pain and suffering in the world.
