It is important that we understand the full context of a scripture and who the audience is when applying a verse to our lives. The Bible is much more than a book of stories and rules from the past.
It's rich with a relevant message God has for us today. The Scriptures
have the ability to affect you. The problem is that we have disengaged. Instead of actually personally engaging the Bible, we have handed it to the professionals for them to tell us what it means. Why we are disengaged... what are the benefits and why is it important that we engage?

Anxiety- overwhelmed, depression, fear and giving up control…. What does the bible say about anxiety and depression? I have a hard time letting go and fully trusting God and people, how do I release control how am I supposed to trust? Pastor Jack addresses the Elephant in The Room about Mental Health.

One of the biggest Elephant's in the Room we have when it comes to our faith, is the tension between choosing our will or God's will for our life. Sometime's we don't want to choose God's will because were afraid of losing out on things we see as valuable. Let's listen in as Pastor Troy addresses this Elephant in the Room.

Sometimes people say, I believe in God, but... and they can describe many different reasons. But for a growing number of people the main issue is, I love Jesus but I don’t know if I love his church. Church hurt and bad church experiences are real and for many, the number one reason that people stay away from church or never bother to begin with is that when people see the church, they see a bunch of hypocrites. It's the elephant in the room, but what do we do about and how do we respond?

If God is so good then why does bad things happen to good people, why does God allow tragedy in our world and why does suffering and pain exist? How do we reconcile a good God with so much bad stuff? What is God’s response to suffering?

How am I supposed to follow something I can’t see or touch, or how am I supposed to just follow a bunch of words or rules, it’s hard to do, what if it is all made up? How do I know that I am forgiven anyway and how can I be certain that God will just continue to forgive me after I continue to mess up all the time?
