Hello Dear Civically Speaking,
Indeed, the start of summer placed me away from the recording studio. Hope everyone is doing well. It's been a busy one on my end with many twists and turns.
Today's episode of Civically Speaking highlights some go-to events and to-do's around Saskatoon and area.
Do check out the websites for events around our communities in Saskatchewan. Start with the Pow Wows oin Saskatchewan offered by the Saskatoon Tribal Council. And, check out Toursim Saskatoon and Tourism Saskatchewan - there's some really good information on these sites. As well as the Prince Albert National Park site. And the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association and the websites and social media pages for communities around Saskatchewan.

Dear Listeners,
A continuing national tragedy of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2 Spirited people (MMIWG2S+).
An honour to have Community Advocates Darlene Okemaysim-Sicotte and Myrna LaPlante together with ally (and colleague) Samantha Mark in the virtual studio to discuss this important issue.
This will be the first of a continuing and important discussion - with the goal of, as Myrna shared, to educate people so they can learn about what is going on and what can be done to help and be an ally and support to families.
As discussed during the show please find below links to the Calls for Justice, and an update report on efforts underway.
