A Clare-based dog trainer, behaviourist, and science graduate is warning that social media and gaming companies are using the same psychological techniques as dog trainers - only with far more harmful consequences.

Deirdre Ryan has spent over 22 years working in animal behaviour.

She has developed a fun, science-based school workshop after realising that the same reward-based training used to teach dogs is also being used to keep children hooked on their screens.
