A Clare TD is expressing confidence that a stable government has been formed to guide the country for the next five years. Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael and the Regional Independents signed off on a deal yesterday that gives the coalition a majority of 94 TDs, while talks are continuing with the Healy Rae's to see if they will join as well. A draft programme for government has also been agreed, and it's expected that cabinet positions will be finalised when the Dáil reconvenes next Wednesday. Meelick Fianna Fáil Deputy Cathal Crowe is hopeful the full programme will be complete by then as well.
