Clark Gillies was a reluctant fighter, but he was so strong and few players could beat him. He faced off against the Bruins Terry O'Reilly several times in the Islanders 1980 playoff series against Boston and we will discuss how those fights helped the Isles gain the confidence they needed to win their first Stanley Cup.
