The Canucks fell 5-4 in overtime to the Predators in Nashville. Andrei Kuzmenko led the way with 2 goals, while Tyler Myers was noticeable for all the wrong reasons.  And Luke Schenn was sent back to Vancouver as he awaits a trade.

The Canucks are locked in a battle with 6 other teams at the bottom of the NHL standings.  Not that that's a bad thing this season!  As well, I look at Canucks players who made be traded by the March 3 deadline.

Arturs Silovs made 22 saves in his Canucks debut as the team fell 6-4 to the visiting New York Rangers.  Elias Pettersson and Andrei Kuzmenko each had 2 points to lead the Canucks.  Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Curtis Lazar were both injured in the contest.

The Detroit Red Wings easily defeated the Canucks 6-1 at Rogers Arena.  I recount my experience sitting next to a couple who spent their time and hard-earned money to attend their first game in years...and how frustrating and disappointing it must have been for them.

Andrei Kuzmenko - fresh off a new two-year contract extension - has seen his role and ice time reduced under coach Rick Tocchet.  Is this a small blip or something to be concerned about?

Less than 2 weeks after being traded in the same deal, both Anthon Beauvillier and Bo Horvat scored against their former teams in the Canucks 6-5 victory over the Islanders. Brock Boeser led the way with 4 points while Elias Pettersson chipped in 3 points.

The Canucks were defeated 4-3 by the New York Rangers.  Conor Garland, Vasily Podkolzin, and Elias Pettersson scored for the Canucks.  Both Quinn Hughes and Luke Schenn were injured during the game; Hughes came back to play but Schenn did not.

Elias Pettersson, Quinn Hughes, JT Miller, and Oliver Ekman-Larsson will all serve as alternate captains for the remainder of the season.  Who should be the captain of the team starting next season?
