Clay's Canucks Commentary

The Canucks are much deeper at forward this year so that means they have options for the top line.

Which winger should join Elias Pettersson and Andrei Kuzmenko?

I make a case for and against Ilya Mikheyev, Anthony Beauvillier, and Brock Boeser.

The Canucks are currently one of nine teams that do not have a captain.

Should they name one prior to this season? How important is it? And if so, who should it be?

Also, I recap a wonderful weekend in Victoria...despite no golf for me.

We took a break from Canucks talk to do a bit of catching up. I gave an update on my ruptured Achilles tendon, and then Jacob joined me to talk about his impressive performance in Peru.

Pius Suter brings some much-needed depth to the Canucks' forward group and now the roster may be close to complete. In today's show, I talked about what the opening line up might look like.

As well, I share the story of how I ruptured my Achilles tendon and how long I may be on LTIR.

I'm back from a whirlwind trip from Peru.

I shared the results of Jacob's bowling tourney, talked about my impressions of Peru, and I recapped JT Miller's appearance on the Cam & Strick podcast.

In this livestream, I shared a bit about the features in both the Province and the Vancouver Sun about Jacob's bowling prowess and then brought Jacob on the answer questions from the viewers. We leave for Peru this Wednesday and will be back in early August.

In today's show, I break down the pricing tiers for Canucks games this season, leading to a discussion as to whether or not Canucks games are too expensive. As well, I give birthday girl C Edits a call.

We had a discussion about the 3 leading candidates for next Canucks captain: Quinn Hughes, JT Miller, and Elias Pettersson.

As well, I recapped my golf tourney and I made a massive announcement about an initiative I will take on this fall.

I break down all 3 aspects of the team (forwards, defencemen, and goaltending) and see which ones have improved...and which ones haven't. As well, we may have started the ball rolling on a spinoff show for me!
