Bo Horvat will still represent the Pacific Division at this weekend's All-Star Game while wearing Islanders colours.  And we talk about Rick Tocchet and our first impressions of him.

Now that we've had over a day to digest the Bo Horvat trade, what are your feelings towards it?  As I've mentioned all along, I like the return considering Horvat could end up being a rental for the Islanders.

I brought in Kim (IslesGirl3) to help me break down the massive Bo Horvat trade to the New York Islanders. The Canucks traded Bo Horvat to the Islanders for forward Anthony Beauvillier, prospect Aatu Raty, and a protected 2023 1st round draft pick.

After Friday's night's win over the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Canucks announced that forward Ilya Mikheyev will miss the remainder of the season as he undergoes surgery to repair a torn ACL.

The Canucks have signed Andrei Kuzmenko to a two-year extension with an average annual value of $5.5 million ($11 million total).  His contract also includes a 12 team no-trade clause.  

Is this a good contract for the Canucks?

The Canucks were thoroughly outplayed by the Seattle Kraken 6-1 in Seattle's first win in seven tries against their I-5 rival.

Andrei Kuzmenko scored two goals and both Elias Pettersson and Luke Schenn had two assists as the Canucks defeated the Chicago Blackhawks 5-2 in Rick Tocchet's Canucks coaching debut.

Rick Tocchet ran his first practice as Canucks head coach, and had new assistants Adam Foote and Sergei Gonchar with him.  As well, we share our favourite Bruce Boudreau memories on the night he leaves Vancouver for his home in Hersey, PA.

Rick Tocchet was named the 21st head coach in Canucks franchise history.  Tocchet, Jim Rutherford, and Patrik Allvin met the media today to answer questions about Bruce Boudreau's firing, the club's priorities, and Tocchet's coaching style.
