Those teenagers were sentenced to life in prison for their crime. Nancy has recently advocated for the release of these individuals. Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf commuted their sentences last week and they were released We hear the details of this incredible story.

Lilly is a Nashville, Tennessee recording artist, recognized in 2018 by the American Music Honors and Awards as the emerging artist of the year. She also has a recovery story to tell. Lilly's mother died by suicide when she was a baby. She would eventually develop alcoholism, and now has achieved long-term recovery. Many of her powerful songs reference her sobriety. We hear about her trials and tribulations, along with her resilient recovery.

On this edition of Clean and Sober Radio, host Gary Hendler and co-host Mark Sigmund interview Eric Gales, also known as the "RAW DAWG". He is a well known American blues-rock guitarist, who has recorded with many of the greatest musical artists including Carlos Santana and Lauryn Hill. Gales has contributed to eighteen albums for major record labels such as MCA, Elektra, and others. Gale's addiction took him to state prison for many years, but he now lives a rewarding life in recovery. We also discuss the details of Gary's presidential pardon which he received this week. There is redemption in sobriety!
