In the natural hair world and for a long while, hair that is easy to manage, meaning it has a silky surface texture, and thick juicy curls are often associated with "good hair." The idea that one hair category, the tightly textured, is dictated by skewed views, passed down trauma, and crowdsourcing is crippling. Good hair is the hair that is unique to you, and is manageable, healthy and thriving.

In this episode of Brown Skin Women Podcast, I'll address a comment that I get often which is a major part of what's wrong in the natural hair community "EVERYONE'S HAIR IS DIFFERENT". SPOILER: Tight textured hair is NOT as complicated as this community, influencers, and brands have made it out to be. It could all be so so simple.

So the biggest question I get is where and how do I start with improving the health of my hair. There is no shortage of influencers and brands on the internet showing you how to do something with your hair and what to use to accomplish that goal. But the question then becomes WHY. Why are you using this, and does it work? Is it really necessary? In this episode of Brown Skin Women Show, I'll help you navigate how to start where to start, and how to establish your home hair care plan.

"What products do you use" is my most asked question. It would be a disservice for me to mention a product without first knowing your hair's identity to determine best what it needs. In this episode, I talk all about product knowledge when it comes to natural hair.
