This week, facial recognition software company Clearview AI settled a lawsuit with the American Civil Liberties Union. The group sued Clearview in 2020 for allegedly violating the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act. Marketplace’s Kimberly Adams speaks with Calli Schroeder, global privacy counsel at the Electronic Privacy Information Center, who said the suit focused on the use of biometric markers, including faces.
