Pine Dunes Resort & Golf Club, located in Frankston, TX, opened in June 2001 from a series of visions by Jodi Lutz, a young, entrepreneur former pro figure skater from Minnesota, and the excellent advice of PGA Tour player David Frost and golf course architects Jay Morrish and son Carter. The resulting 7,117-yard par-72 design takes you through a dense pine forest dotted with dogwoods, around rolling mounds, over bunkers with rust-colored sand, and past a modest four bodies of water. Venture into the trees, and you will have a typically sandy lie, although the Bermuda grass from the fairways is creeping into the rough.
👉Wanting to keep the experience all about golf, you won't find any ornate granite layout plaques or ball washers (they are on the carts), but you can get a glossy-color yardage guide. Simple flowering potted plants are the tee markers. And you will love the fact that houses won't line the fairways, although surrounding acreage away from the golf course will be developed with homes. "There is no need to go to Augusta National or Pine Valley to play a superb golf course; we have our right here in Texas," said Frost of Pine Dunes.
👉Lutz, a senior portfolio manager for some D-FW professional athletes and creator of a million-dollar art supply business, was dabbling in commercial real estate when her agent posed this question: "How would you like to own a golf course?"
👉Even though she had never played the game, Lutz took the challenge. The land included a nine-hole course named Dogwood Trails, but it was primitive. She asked Frost to survey the property, and he was "blown away" and convinced it would make a first-class golf resort. So Jodi bought it!
👉She loved the golf course so much that she moved her parents down from Minnesota (her dad had always wanted to own a golf course) and started dreaming of the day Pine Dunes Resort would become a reality. Sister Lisa Lutz was asked to take care of admin duties and manage the clubhouse. And Dallas investor Scott Miller chipped in with the additional financing. “Morrish sent his son Carter down for the initial site visit, and he went back to Dallas and reported to Jay all excited about the land, the soil, and the trees. We decided to scratch the original holes and add 175 acres," Lutz recalled. "And we knew that no one would want to drive from Dallas to play unless it was a great golf course."
👉The Texas-sized par-3 No. 6 is 254 yards from the back to an amphitheater green cut into a hillside. This one will challenge anyone. There's water left, but you have to yank it to go there. Even if you hit this massive right-to-left sloping green in one, there's a tricky, slick putt on the Tiff Eagle. The only parallel holes on the course at 14 and 15 are beauties. No. 14 is a healthy 434 yards slightly uphill with a pond on the right 281 yards from the tee. The 15th is one of those reachable par 4s, 344 yards, with the same pond on the right and a vast bunker engulfing the fairway 260 yards from the tee. A 275-yard drive from the back tees will clear the trap, setting up a birdie opportunity.

After two years of waiting, it never came back. He had to move back home with his parents. Started his investment business, went almost 100k in debt, and worked minimum wage jobs instead of filing for bankruptcy. At the same time, he taught himself online lead generation, SEO, and social media marketing and built some of the highest converting lead generation websites for acquisitions in North Texas. Connor used the online leads to dig himself out of debt, and now he trains others how he did it.

First getting a taste for service in law enforcement, Jimmy worked as an officer for the Dallas Police Department for nine years, receiving two commendations for life-saving actions while in the line of duty. While working for DPD, Jimmy earned the confidence of his fellow officers when he was elected to serve as President of the Dallas Police Patrolmans’ Union for two years. In this position, Jimmy was a strong advocate for local law enforcement, representing the needs and concerns of police officers to elected officials and department heads. One of Jimmy’s proudest accomplishments in this role was successfully advocating for DPD’s approval of shorts as part of the walking uniform for downtown-based officers.
👉While serving as a police officer, Jimmy enrolled at SMU School of Law, where he received his law degree in 1995. After earning his law degree, Jimmy went back to work in service of others, being hired as an assistant district attorney in Denton County.
👉At the Denton County DA’s office, Jimmy was one of the office’s most successful attorneys, losing just three cases in his nearly twelve years as a prosecutor. Due to the complexity of intoxication offenses that came before the office, Jimmy led the drive to create a new DWI Prosecution Unit within the office. In 2000, he wrote the grant that funded the office, making Denton County just the second office in Texas to have a unit specifically focused on these types of offenses. Jimmy was responsible for leading the unit as a Chief Prosecutor and training other prosecutors and police officers in Denton County and across the nation on how to handle such cases.
👉His work for Denton County earned him multiple accolades in the community, including from Mothers Against Drunk Driving’s North Texas Chapter.
👉Jimmy later left the Denton County DA’s office to start his own private practice, which he still operates today. Jimmy has earned a reputation as a respected, successful attorney known for being a fierce advocate for his clients in the courtroom through his private practice.
👉In 2001, Jimmy decided to expand his service to others further by joining the United States Army Reserve. Jimmy was deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom with the 4th Infantry Division, Camp Speicher, Iraq. Jimmy is currently an LTC assigned as Chief of Administrative Law for the 84th Training Command, Fort Knox, Kentucky.
👉During his time on active duty, Jimmy was assigned to Trial Defense Services. He was the first chair on 21 Courts Martials, five of which were done in Iraq.
👉Jimmy is married to his wife of twelve years, Misti, and is a father of two children, Cole and Gabi. Jimmy and his family attend Prosper United Methodist Church in Prosper.

Dave Collins is a real estate heavyweight champion. His resume is dotted with impressive titles at reputable companies such as LendingTree and Realogy. Two years ago, while in a COO position with a Realogy brand, he was faced with a decision when a major reorganization occurred. Stay with the company during the reorg or consider what’s behind “door No. 2” — a sweet buyout package. He took door No. 2.

Due to a non-compete agreement, Collins was in a restrictive work situation for a year (April 2020 – April 2021), so he decided to help his son — a loan officer at Movement Mortgage — grow his business, going from $12 million in closings to $75 million. “All while deciding what I wanted to be when I grew up,” laughed Collins.

In 23 years in the real estate business, Rich has performed as an appraiser for 7 years, flipped $30 million as an investor moonlighting on nights and weekends, and ran the second biggest team in North Carolina for Remax. In 2017, he merged into eXp and built a revenue share organization of 1,900 agents, and opened up the UK alongside Barry Pulver and Adam Day. He continues to develop leaders and help agents break through their imagination.
