On this episode of Cut to the Chase:, Matt Hosen of Quinn Emmanuel discusses last Friday's ruling by the Bankruptcy Court denying Aearo's Motion for Preliminary Injunction for 3M. Listen to Matt explain what a preliminary injunction would have meant in this litigation, the largest mass tort ever, and how the 230,000 vets who have suffered hearing loss and/or ringing in the ears. As discussed on previous episodes, the bankruptcy filings literally insulted the presiding Judge, The Honorable Casey Rogers, as well as the multi district litigation system, despite the fact that 3M had requested and was provided the very procedural issues that 3M now rails against. All the 229,980 or so cases now are back on track in front of Judge Rogers.
So if you or a loved one were in the military from 2008 and suffered hearing loss and want to see if you can still get into this litigation, you can call Matt Hosen. On this episode of Cut to the Chase:, Co Lead Counsel Mike Burns returns to discuss the latest hearings and upcoming hearings in the bankruptcy filed by Aearo Technologies, a subsidiary of 3M, in the combat earplug litigation. The bankruptcy petition is being characterized as a fraud on the Court as 3M purchased all of Aearo's liabilities back in 2008 and has been taking the position throughout the 3.5 years of this litigation that 3M is the responsible party. Don't panic-vets....the legal cavalry is here to help.
On this episode of Cut to the Chase:, Amanda Bronstad from Law.Com discusses the Aearo Technologies Bankruptcy filing in the 3M Earplug Mass Tort Multidistrict Litigation. While many of the plaintiffs and plaintiffs attorneys are panicking, this petition might not get too far or might even box in 3M. Hearings in front of Justice Rogers and the bankruptcy court did not go so well for 3M/Aearo Technologies as they try to stave off the onslaught of large jury verdicts against them.

On this episode of Cut to the Chase:, one of the lead attorneys of the Surfside Class Action, Adam Moskowitz, comes on 1 year to the day of the collapse of the Champlain Towers South killing 98 people and leaving over 100 others homeless to discuss the settlement of the case. Adam discusses some of the shocking details of the collapse and how this settlement was done so quickly. With 48 defendants involved, you would have thought that this case could have dragged out for a decade with each of the defendants pointing their fingers at each other. Adam, along with several other prominent attorneys, worked long and tireless. Judge Michael Hanzman did a remarkable job pushing this case at a pace not seen before.
Now that the settlement has been approved, those eligible for their settlements need to go through the claims process. There is a deadline so PAY ATTENTION TO THE DEADLINES.
Some of the victims are not represented by attorneys, but they can still file their claims. AGAIN THE CLAIMS MUST BE DONE PROPERLY AND TIMELY. Adam has graciously offered to talk to any of the victims or family members of victims to guide them through the claims process. Here is Adam's link to contact him. https://moskowitz-law.com/adam-moskowitz
A big shoutout to Adam, Judge Hanzman, and many others that secured justice for the victims of this tragedy.
