Maybe it’s fandom. Maybe it’s a crush. Maybe it’s admiration. But, whatever, I enjoy the heck out of Ingrid Michaelson, both her music and as a person. I’ve seen her in concert a handful of times and will continue to seek her out and she’s a great entertainer. “The Way I Am” was her breakthrough single back in 2006 and comes from the director of last year’s film Emma with Anya Taylor Joy. It’s simple with a good message.
